Background: Biliary mucinous cystic neoplasms(BMCNs) are rare hepatobiliary cystic tumors, which can be divided into noninvasive and invasive types. This study aimed to investigate the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of BMCNs in a large single center. Methods: We analyzed 49 patients with BMCNs confirmed by postoperative pathology at the First Afflliated Hospital, Zhejiang university School of Medicine between January 2007 and December 2021. Results: Among the 49 patients, 37 were female(75.5%), and the average age was 57.04 years. Common symptoms included abdominal discomfort, jaundice and fever, while 22 patients(44.9%) had no symptoms. Serum carbohydrate antigen(CA) 19-9 and CA125 concentrations were elevated in 34.8% and 19.6% of patients, respectively. Forty-eight patients had tumors in the intrahepatic bile ducts and only one had a tumor in the extrahepatic bile duct. Forty-eight patients with noninvasive intrahepatic BMCNs were further analyzed in terms of pathological features: 34(70.8%) had low-grade intraepithelial neoplasms(LGINs), and 14(29.2%) had high-grade intraepithelial neoplasms(HGINs). The potential immunohistochemical markers of BMCNs were cytokeratin(CK) 19, CK7, estrogen receptor and progesterone receptor. Follow-up data for 37 patients with intrahepatic BMCNs were obtained. The median overall survival(OS) of BMCNs was not reached. The longest survival time was 137 *** 5-and 10-year OS rates were 100% and 85.4%, respectively. The 5-and 10-year recurrence-free survival(RFS) rates were 93.9% and 80.2%, respectively. Conclusions: BMCNs are rare cystic neoplasms that commonly occur in middle-aged females. BMCNs can only be diagnosed and classified by postoperative pathology, as there are no specific clinical presentations, serological indicators or imaging modalities for preoperative diagnosis. Complete surgical resection is necessary for BMCNs, and the postoperative prognosis is favorable.

Nitrate(NO_(3)^(-)),a nitrogen-containing pollutant,is prevalent in aqueous solutions,contributing to a range of environmental and health-related *** electrocatalytic reduction of NO_(3)^(-)holds promise as a sustainable approach to both eliminating NO_(3)^(-)and generating valuable ammonia(NH_(3)).Nevertheless,the reduction reaction of NO_(3)^(-)(NO_(3)^(-)RR),involving 8-electron transfer process,is intricate,necessitating highly efficient electrocatalysts to facilitate the conversion of NO_(3)^(-)to NH_(3).In this study,Fe-doped Co_(3)O_(4) nanowire strutted three-dimensional(3D)pinewood-derived carbon(Fe-Co_(3)O_(4)/PC)is proposed as a high-efficiency NO_(3)^(-)RR electrocatalyst for NH_(3) *** within 0.1 M NaOH containing NO_(3)^(-),Fe-Co_(3)O_(4)/PC demonstrates exceptional performance,obtain an impressively large NH_(3) yield of 0.55 mmol·h^(-1)·cm^(-2) and an exceptionally high Faradaic efficiency of 96.5%at-0.5 V,superior to its Co_(3)O_(4)/PC counterpart(0.2 mmol·h^(-1)·cm^(-2),73.3%).Furthermore,the study delves into the reaction mechanism of Fe-Co_(3)O_(4) for NO_(3)^(-)RR through theoretical calculations.

We have conducted a comprehensive investigation into the bright single pulse emission from PSR B1133+16using the Giant Metrewave Radio *** time resolution data(61μs)were obtained at a center frequency of 322 MHz with a bandwidth of 32 MHz over a continuous observation period of 7.45 hr.A total of 1082 bright pulses were sporadically detected with peak flux densities ranging from 10 to 23 times stronger than the average pulse ***,no giant pulse-like emission with a relative pulse energy larger than 10 and extremely short duration was detected,indicating that these bright pulses cannot be categorized as giant pulse *** majority of these bright pulses are concentrated in pulse phases at both the leading and trailing windows of the average pulse profile,with an occurrence ratio of approximately *** pulse energy distribution for all individual pulses can be described by a combination of two Gaussian components and a cutoff power-law with an index of α=-*** updated nulling fraction of 15.35%±0.45% was determined from the energy *** emission of individual pulses follows a log-normal distribution in peak flux density *** is imperative that regular phase drifting in bright pulse sequence is identified in both the leading and trailing components for the first *** physical mechanisms are discussed in detail to provide insights into these observations.

Metal mineral resources play an indispensable role in the development of the national economy. Dynamic disasters in underground metal mines seriously threaten mining safety, which are major scientific and technological problems to be solved urgently. In this article, the occurrence status and grand challenges of some typical dynamic disasters involving roof falling, spalling, collapse, large deformation, rockburst, surface subsidence, and water inrush in metal mines in china are systematically presented, the characteristics of mining-induced dynamic disasters are analyzed, the examples of dynamic disasters occurring in some metal mines in china are summarized, the occurrence mechanism, monitoring and early warning methods, and prevention and control techniques of these disasters are highlighted, and some new opinions, suggestions, and solutions are proposed simultaneously. Moreover, some shortcomings in current disaster research are pointed out, and the direction of efforts to improve the prevention and control level of dynamic disasters in china’s metal mines in the future is prospected. The integration of forward-looking key innovative theories and technologies in the abovementioned aspects will greatly enhance the cognitive level of disaster prevention and mitigation in china’s metal mining industry and achieve a significant shift from passive disaster relief to active disaster prevention.

In this study,based on the framework of the Coulomb and proximity potential model(CPPM),we systematically investigate the cluster radioactivity half-lives of 26 trans-lead nuclei by considering the cluster preformation probability,which possesses a simple mass dependence on the emitted cluster according to *** and ***[***.61,1930(1988)].Moreover,we investigate 28 different versions of the proximity potential formalisms,which are the most complete known proximity potential formalisms proposed to describe proton radioactivity,two-proton radioactivity,αdecay,heavy-ion radioactivity,quasi-elastic scattering,fusion reactions,and other *** calculated results show that the modified forms of proximity potential 1977,denoted as Prox.77-12,and proximity potential 1981,denoted as Prox.81,are the most appropriate proximity potential formalisms for the study of cluster radioactivity,as the root-mean-square deviation between experimental data and relevant theoretical results obtained is the least;both values are *** comparison,the universal decay law(UDL)proposed by Qi et al.[***.C 80,044326(2009)],unified formula of half-lives forαdecay and cluster radioactivity proposed by Ni et al.[***.C 78,044310(2008)],and scaling law(SL)in cluster radioactivity proposed by Horoi et al.[***.G 30,945(2004)]are also *** addition,utilizing CPPM with Prox.77-12,Prox.77-1,Prox.77-2,and Prox.81,we predict the half-lives of 51 potential cluster radioactive candidates whose cluster radioactivity is energetically allowed or observed but not yet quantified in *** predicted results are in the same order of magnitude as those obtained using the compared semi-empirical and/or empirical *** the same time,the competition betweenαdecay and cluster radioactivity of these predicted nuclei is *** comparing the half-lives,this study reveals thatαdecay predominates.

Although CRISPR/Cas9 has been widely used in insect gene editing,the need for the microinjection of preblastoderm embryos can preclude the technique being used in insect species with eggs that are small,have hard shells,and/or are difficult to collect and maintain outside of their normal *** is the case with Sogatella furcifera,the white-backed planthopper(WBPH),a significant pest of Oryza sativa(rice)that oviposits inside rice *** extraction from the stem runs the risk of mechanical damage and hatching is heavily influenced by the micro-environment of the rice *** bypass these issues,we targeted embryos prior to oviposition via direct parental(DIPA)-CRISPR,in which Cas9 and single-guide RNAs(sgRNAs)for the WBPH eye pigment gene tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase were injected into the hemocoel of adult *** at varying numbers of days posteclosion were evaluated to determine at what stage their oocyte might be most capable of taking up the gene-editing *** evaluation of the offspring indicated that the highest G0 gene-edited efficacy(56.7%)occurred in females injected 2 d posteclosion,and that those mutations were heritably transmitted to the G1 *** study demonstrates the potential utility of DIPA-CRISPR for future gene-editing studies in non-model insect species and can facilitate the development of novel pest management applications.

Effect of UV-B radiation on the population dynamics of the rotifer Brachionus urceus

The effect of UV-B radiation enhancement at experimental doses of 0.00,0.24,0.48,0.72,0.96,and 1.20 kJ/m 2 on the population dynamics of the rotifer Brachionus urceus feeding on the alga Chlorella *** studied under controlled laboratory conditions using clonal culture and life-table *** results show that UV-B radiation treatment significantly shortened the survival time of the rotifer （P 0.05）： The longest survival time （336 h） occurred in the control （0.00 kJ/m 2 ） while the shortest （222 h） occurred when exposed to the highest UV-B radiation treatment （1.20 kJ/m 2 ）.The fecundity of the rotifer *** was enhanced by the lower UV-B radiation treatment （0.24 and 0.48 kJ/m 2 ） but inhibited by the higher treatments （0.96 and 1.20 kJ/m 2 ）.Life expectancy also was obviously affected by UV-B radiation （P 0.05）.The highest life expectancy occurred in the control （0.00 kJ/m 2 ）,and it became shorter with increasing doses of UV-B *** resutls in the present study indicate that the life expectancy of the rotifer *** can be used as an indicator for UV-B radiation enhancement.

BACKGROUND Acute-on-chronic liver disease(AoCLD)accounts for the majority of patients hospitalized in the department of Hepatology or Infectious *** To explore the characterization of AoCLD to provide theoretical guidance for the accurate diagnosis and prognosis of *** Patients with AoCLD from the Chinese Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure(ACLF)study cohort were included in this *** clinical characteristics and outcomes,and the 90-d survival rate associated with each clinical type of AoCLD were analyzed,using the Kaplan-Meier method and the log-rank *** A total of 3375 patients with AoCLD were enrolled,including 1679(49.7%)patients with liver cirrhosis acute decompensation(LC-AD),850(25.2%)patients with ACLF,577(17.1%)patients with chronic hepatitis acute exacer-bation(CHAE),and 269(8.0%)patients with liver cirrhosis active phase(LC-A).The most common cause of chronic liver disease(CLD)was HBV infection(71.4%).The most common precipitants of AoCLD was bacterial infection(22.8%).The 90-d mortality rates of each clinical subtype of AoCLD were 43.4%(232/535)for type-C ACLF,36.0%(36/100)for type-B ACLF,27.0%(58/215)for type-A ACLF,9.0%(151/1679)for LC-AD,3.0%(8/269)for LC-A,and 1.2%(7/577)for *** HBV infection is the main cause of CLD,and bacterial infection is the main precipitant of *** most common clinical type of AoCLD is *** diagnosis and timely intervention are needed to reduce the mortality of patients with LC-AD or ACLF.
