Approximately optimal tracking control for discrete time-delay systems with disturbances

Optimal tracking control (OTC) for discrete time-delay systems affected by persistent disturbances with quadratic performance index is considered. By introducing a sensitivity parameter,the original OTC problem is transformed into a series of two-point boundary value (TPBV) problems without time-advance or time-delay terms. The obtained OTC law consists of analytic feedforward and feedback terms and a compensation term which is the sum of an infinite series of adjoint vectors. The analytic feedforward and feedback terms can be found by solving a Riccati matrix equation and two Stein matrix equations. The compensation term can be obtained by using an iteration formula of the adjoint vectors. Observers are constructed to make the approximate OTC law physically realizable. A simulation example shows that the approximate approach is effective in tracking the reference input and robust with respect to exogenous persistent disturbances.

The multiple instance regression problem has become a hot research topic recently. There are several approaches to the multiple instance regression problem, such as Salience, Citation KNN, and MI-ClusterRegress. All of these solutions work in batch mode during the training step. However, in practice, examples usually arrive in sequence. Therefore, the training step cannot be accomplished once. In this paper, an online multiple instance regression method ＂OnlineMIR＂ is proposed. OnlineMIR can not only predict the label of a new bag, but also update the current regression model with the latest arrived bag. The experimental results show that OnlineMIR achieves good performances on both synthetic and real data sets.

The reaching law approach, which is widely used in discrete-time variable structure controller design, is thoroughly studied in a new point of view. Based on the new concept "Ideal reaching law" and "Robust reaching law" proposed here, the reaching laws can be classified as two types. The mechanisms of robust controller design based on these two types of reaching laws are different. These similarities and differences are analyzed so that the confusions and misapprehends of reaching law approach can be clarified. Ideal reaching law is a type of desired ideal sliding mode motion dynamics without taking system uncertainties into account, so an additional term, such as bound value of uncertainties or disturbance estimator, is necessary to ensure the closed-loop system to be robust stable. However, robust reaching law is a type of desired robust sliding mode motion dynamics with taking robustness property into account by reaching law itself. This means that an additional term will induce seriously chattering due to over compensation, as conventional discrete reaching law approach does.

After establishing the permanent magnetism synchronous machine (PMSM) twelve sectors direct torque control (DTC) platform,in this paper,the relation between torque and minimum stator currents while maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) is deduced using Lagrange multiplier method,and the optimal excitation current is obtained using the curve fitting method,and then the optimal stator flux instruction value is given,which overcomes the excessive excitation loss of constant flux given *** results show that this control strategy can not only keep good performance,but also improve operation efficiency.

In this paper, it is first proposed that area CCD may be used to detect the movement speed of cotton or foreign fibers in a cotton flow pipeline. A new method is presented for using the RGB color coordinates to identify CCD images of the cotton flow and adopting the RGB coordinate distance to distinguish the exact location of the same cotton line from two adjacent images. Eight CCD images of the different foreign fiber in cotton, a CCD image of raw cotton and a CCD image with a black background are selected. A 6×6 pixel small image is chosen from each of that ones. The RGB color coordinates of the small images are calculated with the use of the function from the Matlab image processing tools. It may be found that the RGB coordinate data of the different types of foreign fibers, the cotton and black background have a marked difference. By tracking the RGB coordinate datum sequence of some line pixel points in the images, the exact location of movement cotton or foreign fibers in two adjacent images can be identified. And furthermore according to the CCD frame rate, the instantaneous speed of the cotton flow or foreign fibers can be got.

The change of the equivalent baseline and interferometric phase of cluster SAR satellites is analyzed when the constellation circles around the Earth and the satellites rotate around the center at the same time. The letter provides assessment of baseline error and phase error which influence the precision of height measurement in the across-track interferometric mode. The mathematical model of cluster satellite movement is built, simulation analyses and the curve of height error are presented. The simulation results show that height measurement error can be compensated by the formulae derived in this letter, therefore, the Digital Elevation Models (DEM’s) are recovered accurately.
