Prediction of Hot Ductility of Low-Carbon Steels Based on BP Network

The purpose of the research is to obtain an effective method to predict the hot ductility of low-carbon steels, which will be a reference to evaluate the crack sensitivity of steels. Several sub-networks modeled from BP network were constructed for different temperature use, and the measured reduction of area (A(R)) of 12 kinds of low-carbon steels under the temperature of 600 to 1000 degreesC were processed as training samples. The result of software simulation shows that the model established is relatively effective for predicting the hot ductility of steels.

TiAl3 particle reinforced pure Al composite has been made by direct reaction among molten Al, TiO2 and a flux. The composite exhibits high Synthetically properties. The strength and hardness are higher than those of pure Al matrix by 71.5% and 134% respectively However, the elongation is 20.36%, slightly lower than that of the Al matrix.

A generalized adaptive subspace detector for range-Doppler spread target(RDST-GASD)in the non-Gaussian clutter is derived in this *** subspace model of multi-pulse wideband radar target returns is established in the frequency-slow time *** clutters are modeled as nonhomogeneous spherically invariant random vectors(SIRVs);that is,the power of the clutter is different from one range cell to *** clutter covariance matrix is estimated with the secondary *** constant false alarm rate(CFAR)property of RDST-GASD with respect to both the power and the covariance matrix of the clutter is demonstrated *** that there is target range walking across range cells during a coherent processing interval(CPI)for wideband radar,the RDST-GASD does range alignment to the multiple returns of the target in a *** a result,the coherent integration is implemented and the detection performance is improved.

High-frequency magnetic properties, such as core loss, coercivity and amplitude permeabilityof a newly-developed nanocrystalline Fe72.5Cu1Nb2V2Si13.5B9 alloy in the wide ranges of f =20-103 kHz, Bm = 0.01~0.6 T and Bmf = 10~40 (***) have been measured. A largeamount of experimental data have been fitted by a computer, thus obtaining several expressionsrepresenting the influence of frequency on high-frequency magnetic properties, that are useful inpractical applications.

Sulfide stress corrosion cracking (SSCC) behaviour of UNS G11180 steel in 5% NaCl solution with H2S was studied by slow strain rate tensile test (SSRT), SEM and electrochemical hydro gen permeation technique. The results reveal different cracking mechanism and H permeation current (IH) through UNS G11180 steel plate in different concentration of H2S solution. The susceptibility to SSCC of UNS G11180 Steel in 5% NaCl solution with H2S was evaluated by the permeation current(IH, μA), which depends on the concentration (c×10-6) of H2S by the equation:IH = 8.525 ×c0.7249. lt is proved that the electrochemical H permeation method is a practical way to assess the susceptibility to SSCC.

Welding TiB_2 Ceramies and Metai Mo with Combustion Reaction Technology

Combustion reaction welding, one promising method to weld ceramies and metals, was used to weld TiB2 and Mo. The results showed that the reacted products through combustion reaction were TiB2 and MoB when the Mo contents in reactants were 20 wt pct and 40 wt pct while there was Mo besides MoB and TiB2 when there were 60 wt pct and 80 wt pct Mo in reactants. Diffusion of elements occurred at the interfaces of the two substrates. The interfaces between the reacted and the two substrates were indistinct after being welded. The welding temperature strongly affected properties of the samples. The value of bending strength of the sample with 80 wt pct Mo in reactant welded at 1500℃ was the highest, 368.52 MPa. The highest value of shear strength among all the samples was that of the one with 40 wt pct Mo in reactant vvelded at 1500℃, 50.97 MPa.

PRPs (proline-rich proteins) are a group of cell wall proteins characterized by their proline and hy- droproline-rich repetitive peptides. The expression of PRPs in plants is stimulated by wounding and environmental stress. GASA (gibberellic acid stimulated in Arabidopsis) proteins are small peptides sharing a 60 amino acid conserved C-terminal domain containing twelve invariant cysteine residues. Most of GASAs reported are localized to apoplasm or cell wall and their expression was regulated by gibberellins (GAs). It has been reported that, in French bean, these two proteins encoding by two distinct genes formed a two-component chitin-receptor involved in plant-pathogen interactions when plant was infected. We cloned a full-length cDNA of PRGL (proline-rich GASA-like) gene which encodes a protein containing both PRP and GASA-like domains. It is demonstrated that PRGL is a new protein with characteristics of PRP and GASA by analyzing its protein structure and gene expression.

Titanium diboride based composites, good candidates for contact materials, have high hardness, Young＇s modulus, high temperature stability, and excellent electrical, thermal conductivity. However a good interface of TiB2/Cu is very difficult to achieve for oxidation of TiB2. To avoid this oxidation behavior, the in situ combusting synthesis technology, SHS, was used to prepare TiB2/Cu composite. The characters of Ti-B-xCu SHS were studied in detail, such as combustion temperature, products phases and grain size. Based on the experimental results a proper technology way of self-high temperature synthesis plus quick press （SHS/QP） was determined and compact TiB2/Cu composites with relative density over than 97 pct of the theoretical were fabricated by this method. The properties and microstructures of these TiB2 based composites were also investigated.

Eu(III) adsorption on rutile was investigated as a function of contact time,pH,ionic strength and Eu(III) concentration by using a batch experimental *** effects of carbonate,sulfate,and phosphate were also *** was found that the kinetics of Eu(III) adsorption on rutile could be described by a pseudo-second-order *** adsorption of Eu(III) on rutile is strongly pH-dependent,but relatively insensitive to ionic strength.A double layer model (DLM) with two inner-sphere Eu(III) surface complexes was applied to quantitatively interpret the adsorption of Eu(III) on *** were no apparent effects of carbonate and sulfate on Eu(III) adsorption,whereas the presence of phosphate promoted Eu(III) adsorption on *** surface complexes of Eu(III) on rutile were evidenced by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
