Motion behavior of particles in air-solid magnetically stabilized fluidized beds for separation

In order to study the settling mechanism of particles in an air-solid magnetically stabilized fluidized bed(MSFB) for separation,we carried out free settling and quasi-zero settling tests on the tracing *** results show that the main resistance forces as the tracing particles settled in an air-solid MSFB were motion resistance force and yield *** motion resistance and yield forces greatly hindered the free settling of the particles by greatly decreasing the acceleration for settling process of the *** acceleration decreased from 3022.62 cm/s 2 to zero in 0.1 s,and in the end,the particles stopped in the air-solid *** yield force on particles increased with increasing the magnetic field intensity,resulting in decrease of the quasi-zero settling ***,the yield force on particles decreased with increasing the fluidized air velocity,leading to increase of the quasi-zero settling *** the structure and operating parameters of the air-solid MSFB were set up,the yield stress on particles stopped in an air-solid MSFB was a function of diameter and density of *** settling displacements of equal diameter particles increased with increasing their densities,and the settling displacements of equal density particles increased with increasing their diameters.

Investigation on the copper content of Matte Smelting Slag in Peirce-Smith converter

The copper contents and its existing forms in the slags during the slag-making stage of Peirce-Smith converters in Guixi Smelter, Jiangxi Province, china have been investigated. The investigation was based on plant trials with the corresponding thermodynamic calculations and kinetic considerations. From the plant data, the total copper content in the slags was in the range of 2% to 8% (mass fraction). The mechanical entrainment of matte drops has been found to be the main cause of the copper loss. The suspension index, defined as the ratio of the mass fraction of copper in suspended matte drops in the slag to that in bulk of the matte phase, has been adopted to quantify the matte entrainment. The values of this parameter estimated in this work have been found mainly within a range of 2.5%-8.0%. The Fe3O4 content in the slag has been estimated to be the most important factor, among others, influencing the separation of slag with matte and, consequently, the copper loss from the slag.

The formation mechanism of 'white band' and central carbon segregation of high-carbon Cr bearing steel concasting billets are discussed in this paper. The maximum oxygen content in the steel produced by concasting process was 13xl0^-6 with an average oxygen content of 9.3xl0^-6. comparison of metallurgical quality and fatigue property between the concasting steel (CC) and ingot casting steel (IC) showed that the carbon segregation (C/C0) in former steel was 0.92～1.10 and its fatigue life was equal to that of the latter steel.

Dome combustion Hot Blast Stove for Huge Blast Furnace

In Shougang Jingtang 5 500m 3 huge blast furnace ( BF ) design , dome combustion hot blast stove ( DCHBS ) technology is *** process is optimized and integrated , and reasonable hot blast stove ( HBS ) technical parameters are *** model is established and adopted by computational fluid dynamics ( CFD ) .The transmission theory is studied for hot blast stove combustion and gas flow , and distribution results of HBS velocity field , co density field and temperature field are *** test model and hot trail unit are established , and the numeral calculation result is verified through test and investigation.3-D simulation design is *** process flow and process layout are optimized and *** air two-stage high temperature preheating technology is designed and *** sets of small size DCHBSs are adopted to preheat the combustion air to 520-600℃.With the precondition of BF gas combustion , the hot blast stove dome temperature can exceed 1 420 ℃. According to DCHBS technical features , reasonable refractory structure is *** technical measures are adopted to prevent hot blast stove shell intercrystalline stress *** blast stove hot pipe and lining system are optimized and *** blowing in , the blast temperature keeps increasing , and the monthly average blast temperature reaches 1 300℃ when burning single BF gas.

The Annual Report on Cardiovascular Health and Diseases in china(2022)intricate landscape of cardiovascular health in *** is the third section of the report with a specific focus on community-based prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases(CVD).This section of the report underscores the importance of initiatives outlined in the"Healthy china 2030 Plan,"emphasizing the comprehensive prevention and control strategy for chronic diseases.A key aspect of this plan involves the establishment of national demonstration areas aimed at comprehensive prevention and control of chronic *** 2020,488 such areas had been set up across china,surpassing the initial target and covering a significant proportion of counties and *** report highlights the successful implementation of these strategies in Lishan district,Anshan city,where demonstration areas for comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases were launched in *** the course of seven years,the number of healthy units increased substantially,leading to improvements in managing risk factors for CVD among *** reductions in prevalence rates of overweight,obesity,smoking,passive smoking,and drinking were observed,along with the development of healthier behaviors among ***,Qiaokou district in Wuhan City,designated as a national demonstration area in 2014,implemented comprehensive public health promotion ***,special clinics for hypertension intervention were established,contributing to an increase in self-reported rates of hypertension,a slight decrease in prevalence,and a remarkable improvement in the control rate among treated ***,these efforts underscore the effectiveness of community-based approaches in driving positive health outcomes and advancing the comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases,particularly cardiovascular diseases,in china.

This section dissects cardiovascular risk factors in china which including hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, metabolic syndrome and air pollution. Hypertension prevalence has steadily increased in china,with efforts to control it facing challenges in achieving optimal rates, especially in rural areas. Interventions like salt substitutes and intensive blood pressure control show promise but need improvement. Abnormal lipid levels, indicative of dyslipidemia,have risen significantly, posing a risk for cardiovascular diseases. Despite efforts, many patients struggle to achieve target lipid levels, necessitating improved treatment strategies. Both type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus affect millions of adults in china,with long-term complications adding to the disease burden. Early intervention and effective management are crucial to mitigate its impact. Prevalent among older adults, chronic kidney disease is associated with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases, necessitating comprehensive management approaches. The prevalence of metabolic syndrome, characterized by a cluster of risk factors, has increased in both adults and adolescents, calling for lifestyle modifications and public health interventions. Ambient and household air pollution remain significant environmental risk factors, despite some improvements in air quality. continued efforts to reduce emissions are essential for mitigating associated health risks. Addressing these risk factors requires a multifaceted approach, including public health initiatives, policy interventions, and individual-level strategies to promote healthy lifestyles and reduce environmental exposures. Through-casing resistivity logging (TCRL) is a new kind of logging method for formation evaluation,reservoir monitoring and saturation changes tracking. In this paper,the basic principle of TCRL is de-tailed,and the modified transmission line equation method (MTLEM) is first proposed in china. The MTLEM has been employed to simulate the responses of TCRL,on the basis of which,the effects of formation resistivity,cement and casing on the responses of TCRL are analyzed,and the signals in-duced in different formations are also calculated,which can help the design of TCRL tool and data processing and interpretation in china.
