THz-TDS signal analysis and substance identification via the conformal split

A terahertz time-domain spectroscopy(THz-TDS)imaging system can obtain high-dimensional signals with substance fingerprint *** introducing geometric algebra,a novel signal analysis approach to THz-TDS signals is developed based on an optical physical *** this approach,signals are represented with vectors in the high-dimensional real vector *** distribution properties and algebraic relationships of THz-TDS signals are *** is proved that every complex refractive index of substances relates to a unique 2.blade,the vectors corresponding to the samples of the same substance are collinear and belong to the intrinsic 2.blade of the *** decomposed through the conformal split with respect to a 2.blade,THz-TDS signals of high dimensionality can be related to vectors in a 2.dimensional *** on the conformal split properties we deduced,two criteria for substance identification on the basis of THz-TDS signals are ***,a novel substance identification method via the conformal split is *** the method,the 2.blade related to each "known" substance is calculated with two vectors corresponding to THz-TDS signals measured from samples of the substance but with dierent *** the conformal split with respect to those 2.blades,an identified vector corresponding to a THz-TDS signal is linearly related to the vector in a 2.dimensional *** substance of a sample can be identified using criteria on the projected vectors in the *** method can contribute to accurate classification and ***,two experiments are presented that show the feasibility and accuracy of this method.

Based on the clonal selection theory and immune memory theory, a novel artificial immune system algorithm, immune memory clonal programming algorithm (IMCPA), is put forward. Using the theorem of Markov chain, it is proved that IMCPA is convergent. Compared with some other evolutionary programming algorithms (like Breeder genetic algorithm), IMCPA is shown to be an evolutionary strategy capable of solving complex machine learning tasks, like high-dimensional function optimization, which maintains the diversity of the population and avoids prematurity to some extent, and has a higher convergence speed.

A policy-based automated negotiation for privileges in grid environments

To maintain the global consistency of the authorizing is a challenge when the system authorization is changed in grid environments. This paper proposes a policy-based automatically negotiating method to deal with this issue. An effective system framework, which includes the certificate management, the access policy repertory, the negotiator and the automatically negotiating mechanism, is designed and implemented. The experimental results show that automated negotiation can quickly regain the global authorization consistency and only cause a little system overhead increasing. Compared with the manual authorization maintaining, the presented method can reduce the negotiating time significantly, and reduce the meaningless grid jobs because the inconsistent privileges are controlled timely.

Improving the Structure of Multiple Dimension Turbo Codes Using Multiple Identical Component Encoders

In this paper,we propose an improved structure for M-dimension ( M ≥ 2.turbo codes using M identical component encoders. The presented structure only applies single recursive convolutional encoder to encode M interleaved versions of infor-mation sequence and single tail sequence to operate termination. For the commonly used two-dimension (M = 2. turbo codes,two cascade soft input soft output (SISO) decoders are detailed to de-code the corresponding codes. With the two cascade SISO decod-ers,this coding structure obviously outperforms traditional turbo codes at high code rates,especially,about 0.3 dB gain can be ob-tained at code rate 0.9 in additive white Gaussian noise channel with quadrature phase shift keying modulation. This makes the proposed coding structure very attractive for future radio commu-nication systems with high throughput requirements.

Twisted Ate pairing on hyperelliptic curves and applications

In this paper we show that the twisted Ate pairing on elliptic curves can be generalized to hyperelliptic curves, and give a series of variations of the hyperelliptic Ate and twisted Ate pairings. Using the hyperelliptic Ate pairing and twisted Ate pairing, we propose a new approach to speeding up the Weil pairing computation. For some hyperelliptic curves with high degree twist, computing Weil pairing by our approach may be faster than Tate pairing, Ate pairing, and all other known pairings.

Hydrothermal Synthesis Ultralong Single-crystal Sb_2._3 Nanowires

This paper describes an ethylene glycol（EG）-assisted approach to the ultralong Sb2.3 nanowires,formed by a simple hydrothermal reaction between SbCl3 and Na2. in the presence of distilled *** electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy studies indicate that these Sb2.3 nanowires possess a diameter around 2.0 nm and length up to 100 μ ***-resolution transmission electron microscopy and selected area electron diffraction studies reveal that each Sb2.3 nanowire is a single-crystal along the [001] *** possible formation mechanism of the nanowires was *** effects of volume ratio of ethylene glycol/water on the morphology of Sb2.3 nanowires were also *** reflectance spectrum result shows that the final products have an apparent blue shift by quantum size effect.

Parentage determination of an isolated Yangtze finless porpoise population Neophocaena phocaenoides asiaeorientalis in the Yangtze Tian-e-Zhou Baiji National Natural Reserve based on molecular data

Reproductive behaviors are poorly known for the Yangtze finless porpoise Neophocaena phocaenoides asiaeorientalis. In this study, the parentage of an isolated Yangtze finless porpoise population inhabiting the Yangtze Tian-e-Zhou Baiji National Natural Reserve is determined by analysis of microsatellite loci and mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) control region sequences, and the porpoise's reproductive behaviors are studied. Overall 4 full parentage assignments and additional 3 single parentage assignments were determined for the population of 2. individuals. The analysis shows that their estimated reproductive cycle is shorter than that reported previously and there probably exists an overlapping between gestation and lactation period. The study also shows that the female does not show fidelity to a particular male for breeding and vice versa, the oldest males did not monopolize mating and the dominance rank could not be so strict for the porpoise society. Moreover, the porpoise's mating pattern and relatedness among candidate parents are discussed here. These results provide important information for making guidelines of management and conservation for this protected population.

The effect of Dzialoshiski-Moriya (DM) interaction on the violation of Bell inequality for thermal states of interacting qubits via a two-qubit XXZ spin chain is *** results imply that the DM interaction and anisotropy taking a large positive value can enhance the Bell violation and improve the threshold temperatures of *** the comparison between the Bell violation and thermal entanglement,we find that the threshold temperatures of thermal entanglement are higher than those of the Bell *** implies that some states are entangled but the Bell inequality is not violated.

This paper focuses on interpreting the different spatial relationships between NDVI and Ts, a triangular or a trapezoid, and on analyzing transformation conditions, the physical and ecological meanings of the vegetation index-surface temperature space as well. Further, we use the Tempera-ture-Vegetation Dryness Index (TVDI) to explain the existent meaning of a triangular space after NDVI reaches its saturated state by employing the relationships between NDVI, LAI and evapotranspiration. The specific relations between NDVI and Ts are useful for describing, validating and updating land surface models.
