The use of nanosized titanium dioxide（TiO2） and zinc oxide（ZnO） in the suspension form during treatment makes the recovering and recycling of photocatalysts ***,supported photocatalysts are preferred for practical water treatment *** study was conducted to investigate the efficiency of calcium alginate（CaAlg） beads that were immobilized with hybrid photocatalysts,TiO2/ZnO to form TiO2/*** immobilized beads,with three different mass ratios of TiO2：ZnO（1：1,1：2,and 2：1） were used to remove Cu（Ⅱ） in aqueous solutions in the presence of ultraviolet *** beads were subjected to three cycles of photocatalytic treatment with different initial Cu（Ⅱ） concentrations（10-80 ppm）.EDX spectra have confirmed the inclusion of Ti and Zn on the surface of the CaAlg ***,the surface morphology of the beads as determined using SEM,has indicated differences of before and after the photocatalytic treatment of Cu（Ⅱ）.Among all three,the equivalent mass ratio TiO2/ZnO-CaAlg beads have shown the best performance in removing Cu（Ⅱ） during all three recycling *** TiO2/ZnO-CaAlg beads have also shown consistent removal of Cu,ranging from 7.14-52.0 ppm（first cycle） for initial concentrations of10-80 *** comparison,bare CaAlg was only able to remove 6.9-48 ppm of similar initial Cu ***,the potential use of TiO2/ZnO-CaAlg beads as environmentally friendly composite material can be further extended for heavy metal removal from contaminated water.

Geometry Design and Tooth Contact Analysis of Crossed Beveloid Gears for Marine Transmissions

Beveloid gears,also known as conical gears,gain more and more importance in industry practice due to their abilities for power transmission between parallel,intersected and crossed ***,this type of gearing with crossed axes has no common plane of action which results in a point contact and low tooth ***,a geometry design approach assuming line contact is developed to analyze the tooth engagement process of crossed beveloid gears with small shaft angle for marine transmission *** loaded gear tooth contact behavior is simulated by applying a quasi-static analysis to study the effects of gearing parameters on mesh *** the proposed method,a series of sensitivity analyses to examine the effects of critical gearing parameters such as shaft angle,cone angle,helix angle and profile-shift coefficient on the theoretical gear mesh is *** parametric analysis of pitch cone design shows that the dominant design parameters represented by the angle between the first principle directions（FPD） and normal angular factor are more sensitive to the shaft and cone angles than they are to the helix *** theoretical contact path is highly sensitive to the profile-shift coefficient,which is determined from the theoretical tooth contact *** FPD angle is found to change the distribution of contact pattern,contact pressure and root stress as well as the translational transmission error and the variation of the mesh stiffness *** contact pattern is clearly different between the drive and coast sides due to different designed FPD ***,a practical experimental setup for marine transmission is performed and tooth bearing test is conducted to demonstrate the proposed design *** experimental result compared well with the *** of this study yield a better understanding of the geometry design and loaded gear mesh characteristics for crossed beveloid gears used in marine trans

There are various applied electro-optical devices, which utilize light emitting didoe(LED) chip array for applications to displays and opto-electronic sensors. In those devices, it is the one of the critical technical issues to minimize uncertain fluctuations including optical power and optical density. Due to variation in operating environment of a device, those are not corrected precisely by controlling parameters based on simple relation between parameters and resultant abovementioned ***, there is essential need to correct outputs in real-time based on correction function generated from the consideration on various operation condition. In this article, we introduce an output correction method through reporting real-time image noise reduction in the application to electro-photography with LED print head. In the technology of LED print head, as differences in optical characteristics between each LED cause vertical image noise, it should be corrected in order to obtain images that are comparable or better in quality compared to those produced by the conventional laser scanning method. Even though it seems that the method used to obtain uniform light power from each LED can solve this problem, it does not work well for high-resolution printing. Therefore, a scan method involving correction by a printed and scanned pattern is introduced through this work. The scan method is composed of correction patterns to minimize printing noise by its shape, the correction algorithm to calculate the optimized value and the printing algorithm to control gray levels in real-time precisely. We believe that the developed correction method upgrades the printing quality of the LPH printer better than commercial printers. The developed correction method can also be applied to various application areas that use an array-type light source such as display systems and lighting systems.

The receiver is an important element in solar energy *** principal receiver’s tubes in power plants are devised to work under extremely severe conditions,including excessive heat *** of the tube’s circumference is heated whilst the other half is *** study aims to improve the heat transfer process and reinforce the tubes’structure by designing a new receiver;by including longitudinal fins of triangular,circular and square *** research is conducted experimentally using Reynolds numbers ranging from 28,000 to 78,*** fins have demonstrated the best improvement for heat *** Reynolds number value near 43,000 Nusselt number(Nu)is higher by 3.5%and 7.5%,sequentially,compared to circular and square tube fins,but varies up to 6.5%near Re=*** lowest friction factor is seen in a triangular fin receiver;where it deviates from circular fins by 4.6%,and square fin tubes by 3.2%.Adding fins makes the temperature decrease gradually,and in the case of no fins,the temperature gradient between the hot tube and water drops sharply in the planed tube by 7%.

Perovskite solar cells(PSCs) have raised research interest in scientific community because their power conversion efficiency is comparable to that of traditional commercial solar cells(i.e., amorphous Si, GaAs,and CdTe). Apart from that, PSCs are lightweight, are flexible, and have low production costs. Recently, graphene has been used as a novel material for PSC applications due to its excellent optical, electrical, and mechanical properties. The hydrophobic nature of graphene surface can provide protection against air moisture from the surrounding medium, which can improve the lifetime of devices. Herein, we review recent developments in the use of graphene for PSC applications as a conductive electrode,carrier transporting material, and stabilizer material. By exploring the application of graphene in PSCs, a new class of strategies can be developed to improve the device performance and stability before it can be commercialized in the photovoltaic market in the near future.

Objective:To examine the oral toxicity of repeated dosing of Strobilanthes crispus(***)ethanol leaves extract on the liver and kidney functions in Sprague Dawley ***:Young female rats aged between 8 and 12 week-old were randomly assigned into four groups with five animals each group(n=5).The first group served as control,while the second,third and fourth groups were orally treated with a single dose daily with 150 mg/kg,300 mg/kg,and600 mg/kg of *** ethanol leaves extract for 14 d ***-side observation was conducted for first 4h after each *** body weight changes,food consumptions and water intake were also *** biochemical parameters,i.e.,aspartate aminotransferase,alanine aminotransferase,alkaline phosphatase,creatinine and urea were determined at *** results were expressed as mean±SD and analysed using Dunnett's ***:It was obtained that 14-day oral administration of *** ethanol leaves extract did not cause any adverse effects or lethality to the female Sprague Dawley rats,No significant changes in serum biochemical parameters,relative organs weights,body weights,food intake and water consumptions were observed between the treatment groups and ***:In conclusion,14-day oral administration of *** ethanol leaves extract was safe to be consumed in female rats without affecting the liver and kidney Functions.

This paper presents an online AUV(autonomous underwater vehicle)path planner that employs path replanning approach and the SDEQPSO(selective differential evolution-hybridized quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization)algorithm to optimize an AUV mission conducted in an unknown,dynamic and cluttered ocean *** proposed path replanner considered the effect of ocean currents in path optimization to generate a Pareto-optimal path that guides the AUV to its target within minimum *** optimization was based on the onboard sensor data measured from the environment,which consists of a priori unknown dynamic obstacles and spatiotemporal *** sensor arrangements for the forward-looking sonar and horizontal acoustic Doppler current profiler(H-ADCP)were considered in 2D and 3D *** on the simulation results,the SDEQPSO path replanner was found to be capable of generating a time-optimal path that offered up to 13%reduction in travel time compared to the situation where the vehicle simply followed a path with the shortest *** proposed replanning technique also showed consistently better performance over a reactive path planner in terms of solution quality,stability,and computational *** of the replanner was verified under stochastic process using the Monte Carlo *** generated path fulfilled the vehicle’s safety and physical constraints,while intelligently exploiting ocean currents to improve the vehicle’s efficiency.

In general,as the radio frequency(RF)power increases in a capacitively coupled plasma(CCP),the power transfer efficiency decreases because the resistance of the CCP *** this work,a parallel resonance circuit is applied to improve the power transfer efficiency at high RF power,and the effect of the parallel resonance on the electron energy distribution function(EEDF)is investigated in a 60 MHz *** CCP consists of a power feed line,the electrodes,and *** reactance of the CCP is positive at 60 MHz and acts like an inductive load.A vacuum variable capacitor(VVC)is connected in parallel with the inductive load,and then the parallel resonance between the VVC and the inductive load can be *** the capacitance of the VVC approaches the parallel resonance condition,the equivalent resistance of the parallel circuit is considerably larger than that without the VVC,and the current flowing through the matching network is greatly ***,the power transfer efficiency of the discharge is improved from 76%,70%,and 68%to 81%,77%,and 76%at RF powers of 100 W,150 W,and 200 W,*** parallel resonance conditions,the electron heating in bulk plasma is enhanced,which cannot be achieved without the VVC even at the higher RF *** enhancement of electron heating results in the evolution of the shape of the EEDF from a biMaxwellian distribution to a distribution with the smaller temperature difference between high-energy electrons and low-energy *** to the parallel resonance effect,the electron density increases by approximately 4%,18%,and 21%at RF powers of 100 W,150 W,and 200 W,respectively.

Spontaneous rectus sheath hematoma(SRSH) is a rare entity that mimics acute *** sheath hematoma is the accumulation of blood in rectus sheath due to muscle or epigastric vessel injury. However, SRSH without a trauma or anticoagulation is rare. It frequently mimics acute abdomen and it may lead to misdiagnosis and unnecessary laparotomy. In this article, we described two cases of SRSH with their diagnostic and therapeutic strategy. Both of our patients in report were neither consumed antiplatelet nor coagulopathy. They both had abdominal muscle straining before their symptoms presentation. We hypothesized that the SRSH may be induced by rectus muscle injury secondary to inappropriate straining or posture. To diagnose SRSH, clinical findings are important but radiologic imaging such as computed tomography, can be diagnostic. In expanding SRSH, percutaneous arterial embolization of epigastric artery is useful to secure the bleeding. If embolization is not feasible, surgical exploration hemostasis is curative. In non-expanding SRSH, it can be managed nonoperatively. SRSH is an important initial differential for acute abdomen. Radiologic imaging helps in *** SRSH can be managed conservatively with good outcome.
