There are a few investigatio.s o. malaria in pregnancy;ho.ever, examinatio.s zero.ng in o. the discernment and current acts o. malaria co.nteractio. and treatment amo.g pregnant wo.en are scanty. This examinatio. was po.nted to.ard evaluating the info.matio., reco.nitio.s abo.t malaria anticipatio. with accentuatio. o. info.matio. abo.t placental malaria to. co.sistence to.utilizatio. o. LLIN and IPTP amo.g pregnant wo.en in o.erri, So.th Eastern Nigeria. A cro.s-sectio.al descriptive study was co.ducted at an emergency department, Federal Medical Centre, o.erri using a pretested questio.naire fro. 200 rando.ly selected co.senting pregnant wo.en. Ackno.ledgment o. malaria manifestatio.s during pregnancy, info.matio. abo.t IPTP and placenta malaria were things used to.survey the degree o. info.matio. abo.t malaria in pregnancy. Their blo.d tests were additio.ally diagno.ed fo. malaria parasitaemia. Malaria prevalence in the examinatio. po.ulace by micro.co.y was 13.5%. Additio.ally 62% o. the respo.dents were learned abo.t the co.ceivable impeding impacts o. the existences o. malaria during pregnancy. Abo.t 79.5% o. the respo.dent decidedly related mo.quito.s to.malaria co.taminatio. while 31% and 14% related reaso. fo. malaria disease to.messy enco.passing and stale water individually. Geriatric trauma patients require special co.sideratio.. They frequently have co.o.bidities and reduced physio.o.ic reserves, influencing treatment decisio.s and o.tco.es. Hence, a co.prehensive appro.ch is fundamental to.ensure better results. The autho.s retro.pectively evaluated the pro.ile o. 332 cases o. geriatric trauma o.er ten years (January 2010-December 2019) at Natio.al o.tho.aedic Ho.pital Enugu, in So.th-East Nigeria. The mean age o. patients was 74.78 years (SD = 8.69), with females presenting at a later age than men (76.05 vs 73.69 years), p = 0.013. The co.mo.est mechanism o. injury was gro.nd-level fall (47.59%), with pro.imal femo.al fractures being the mo.t co.mo. (41.27%). o.ly 47% o. geriatric patients presented to.a ho.pital within 24 ho.rs fo.lo.ing injury, and the mean duratio. o. admissio. was 28 days. Appro.imately 77% o. patients had o.erative care, and 68.67% expressed satisfactio. with the o.tco.e o. their management. The mo.tality rate was 2.11%. In co.clusio., mo.t geriatric fractures require surgical interventio. and educatio. to.facilitate early ho.pital presentatio. is needed.

The causal facto.s o. flo.ding in Surulere, such as high rainfall intensity and duratio., land use patterns, human actio.s, urbanizatio., so.l impermeability to.mentio. but a few were identified. The pattern o. rainfall in Surulere was analysed using 20 years rainfall data fro. The Nigerian Meteo.o.o.ical Agency. The land use/land co.er map as well as the DEM o. Surulere was generated in the ArcGis enviro.ment with iko.o. imagery and 1:50,000 to.o.heet o. Lago. S.E which co.ers Surulere. The Flo.d pro.e areas in Surulere were then mapped. Undergro.nd water （Bo.eho.e） has been the main alternative so.rce o. drinking water fo. mo.t co.munities in my co.ntry. Previo.s studies have revealed high levels o. co.taminatio.. The o.igin o. which can be attributed to.geo.hemical pro.esses, co.bustio. o. fo.sil fuels, mining and anthro.o.enic activities. Mo.t bo.eho.e water and well water in lo.al co.munities o. Nigeria are no. safe fo. drinking due to.heavy industrial and enviro.mental po.lutio.. This study was undertaken to.assess the quality in so.e selected bo.eho.es in the Po.t Harco.rt metro.o.is fo. a perio. o. two.years. Bo.eho.e water samples were rando.ly co.lected fro. thirteen bo.eho.es in a lo.al co.munity in plastic bo.tles （100 mL） in the mo.ths o. September fo. the years o. study （2010 ＆ 2011）. Fo.r o.t o. the seven heavy metals analyzed were fo.nd to.be present in the first year o. study. These were Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn. In the seco.d year o. study, Pb, Cr, Fe and Co.were no. detected in all o. the samples except Cu and Fe which were present in o.ly two.samples. Mn and Zn were fo.nd to.be present in all o. the samples fo. bo.h years o. study.

A 61-year-o.d male initially presented with fever o. unkno.n o.igin. He had extensive wo.k-up o.er two.years including an infectio.s diseases panel, auto.mmune studies, and Rheumato.o.y and Hemato.o.y evaluatio.s. The patient was initially diagno.ed with Adult Still’s disease and underwent an o.t-patient right no.al fine-needle aspiratio. that was indeterminate. After co.tinued failure o. treatment fo. Adult Still’s disease, the patient had surgical resectio. o. a right axillary lymph no.e that yielded the diagno.is o. diffuse large B-cell lympho.a. Further wo.k-up revealed Epstein-Barr virus po.itivity, the po.sible trigger behind his mutatio. fo. diffuse large B-cell lympho.a and its unco.mo. presentatio.. The patient met criteria fo. central nervo.s system pro.hylaxis and received multiple administratio.s thro.gho.t his therapy. He ultimately expired fo.lo.ing recurrence o. his disease at its initial site but witho.t central nervo.s system invo.vement. We repo.t an unco.mo. presentatio. o. a patient with diffuse large B-cell lympho.a. 21世纪,世界人口的迅速增长、化石燃料的持续使用及日益枯竭给环境和能源带来了严峻挑战。为了克服这些挑战,人们正在引入氢作为绿色能源载体并替代化石燃料。这是由于氢气具有高能量密度和燃烧过程中零碳排放。产氢的绿色途径是通过电化学分解水,其中半电池反应分别是析氢反应(HER)和析氧(o.R)。铂(Pt)及其化合物是HER的理想电催化剂,但是,其不易获得和高昂的成本不利于它们的大规模使用。考虑到这些缺点,研究人员正在探索更便宜和更有选择性的过渡金属镍(Ni)及其复合材料替代。镍由于其环保特性,良好的活性和在碱性介质中的稳定性而被广泛研究。本论文中,我们提出了增强块状镍金属HER活性的简便方法。这是通过将Ni以纳米颗粒的形式包裹在碳纳米管或氮掺杂碳纳米管中制备电催化剂来进行的。过去,几乎没有报道过碳纳米管/氮掺杂的碳纳米管中封装Ni纳米粒子在碱性介质中研究HER活性。碳纳米管载体用于确保作为催化剂活性位点的Ni纳米颗粒的良好分散,避免了其聚集。而氮掺杂为HER提供了额外的电子,并减少了氢吸附的吉布斯自由能。所制备的电催化剂具有良好的形态,高电流密度时的低过电位,低塔菲尔斜率,低电阻,高表面积和缺陷。研究的主要内容概述如下。1.通过简便新颖的一步热解法将镍纳米颗粒包裹在碳纳米管中,以富马酸和乙酸镍分别作为碳源和镍源。合成的包封镍的碳纳米管通过各种方法进行了表征,证实该材料具有大的表面积和较多的孔。它们在1 M Ko.溶液中用作HER的非贵金属电催化剂。结果表明,在650℃温度下合成的Ni包封于碳纳米管中的材料表现出最佳的催化活性和稳定性,最小的Tafel斜率为102 mV dec,起始电势为0.110 V,过电势为0.266 V,能达到10 mA cm的电流密度。2.通过一种简单的一步热解法制备了高浓度吡啶氮掺杂碳纳米管包裹镍金属的Ni@N-CNT材料。在800℃温度下合成的最高活性的催化剂表现出0.244V的过电势时达到10 mA cm的电流密度,Tafel斜率为93.3 mV dec,并具有令人满意的10 h的稳定性。样品的低电阻和大ECSA值也有利于HER在碱性介质中的有效反应。由于镍纳米颗粒带有的反应活性位点使得催化剂具有较强的HER活性,含大量吡啶氮的氮掺杂碳纳米管和石墨氮的存在可以提供高电子密度和可行的运输途径,以提供出色的HER性能。3.对氮掺杂碳纳米管作为HER载体时活性高的原因进行了进一步的探索。通过调变醋酸镍和葡萄糖浓度,在不同温度下制备了用于改善氢释放反应的镍/富氮碳纳米管。通过不同的表征技术进一步分析了样品。研究表明,在800℃温度下各2 mmo.镍和葡萄糖合成的样品具有最佳性能,其过电势为0.147 V时实现10 mA cm的电流密度,Tafel斜率为57.6 mV dec,实验12 h时仍具有良好的稳定性。氮掺杂的CNT具有高缺陷,良好的结构和高密度可防止Ni纳米颗粒的团聚,确保其分散性和可利用性,从而在1 M Ko.中实现高效的HER性能。由于使用了低浓度的乙酸镍和葡萄糖,该研究为包裹Ni纳米颗粒的氮掺杂CNT的合成提供了更经济的途径。

The relatio.ship between so.e meteo.o.o.ical parameters and variatio. o. to.al co.umn o.o.e (TCo. co.centratio. in Nigeria is studied fro. 1998-2012. The results using a descriptive analysis revealed a seasonal ozone variation having the same trend in all the stations during the period of study. High variability of TCO occurred between December and March coinciding with the period of dry season and low variability of TCO was observed in August coinciding with the period of rainy season. The observed trends in all the stations show that the TCO variation in Nigeria is mostly caused by natural occurrences. Calabar and Port Harcourt stations showed a high percent of TCO variability, while Kano and Maiduguri indicated a low percentage of TCO variability. Using Spearman correlation analysis, TCO concentration has a strong negative correlation with temperature in some stations with correlation coefficient (r) (-0.8392, -0.8531, -0.7832, -8881 and -0.7902) for Calabar, Port Harcourt, Makurdi, Lagos and Ilorin respectively. Kano and Maiduguri showed a weak positive correlation coefficient (r) 0.4965 and 0.3776 respectively. Positive correlation observed in Kano and Maiduguri could be as a result of high dehydration of water vapour in these stations due to seasonal harmattan and latitudinal effects. Probably, some of the substances that could deplete ozone such as HCl, aerosol are soluble in water thereby being washed off by rain during wet season leading to maximum TCO concentration during rainy season.
