Diffusion Equations of the Electric Charges and Magnetic Flux

Innovative definitions of the electric and magnetic diffusivities through conducting mediums and innovative diffusion equations of the electric charges and magnetic flux are verified in this article. Such innovations depend on the analogy of the governing laws of diffusion of the thermal, electrical, and magnetic energies and newly defined natures of the electric charges and magnetic flux as energy, or as electromagnetic waves, that have electric and magnetic potentials. The introduced diffusion equations of the electric charges and magnetic flux involve Laplacian operator and the introduced diffusivities. Both equations are applied to determine the electric and magnetic fields in conductors as the heat diffusion equation which is applied to determine the thermal field in steady and unsteady heat diffusion conditions. The use of electric networks for experimental modeling of thermal networks represents sufficient proof of similarity of the diffusion equations of both fields. By analysis of the diffusion phenomena of the three considered modes of energy transfer;the rates of flow of these energies are found to be directly proportional to the gradient of their volumetric concentration, or density, and the proportionality constants in such relations are the diffusivity of each energy. Such analysis leads also to find proportionality relations between the potentials of such energies and their volumetric concentrations. Validity of the introduced diffusion equations is verified by correspondence their solutions to the measurement results of the electric and magnetic fields in microwave ovens.

Cross-domain diagnosis for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell based on digital twins and transfer learning network

Existing research on fault diagnosis for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells(PEMFC)has advanced significantly,yet performance is hindered by variations in data distributions and the requirement for extensive fault *** this study,a cross-domain adaptive health diagnosis method for PEMFC is proposed,integrating the digital twin model and transfer convolutional diagnosis model.A physical-based high-fidelity digital twin model is developed to obtain diverse and high-quality datasets for training diagnosis *** extract long-term time series features from the data,a temporal convolutional network(TCN)is proposed as a pre-trained diagnosis model for the source domain,with feature extraction layers that can be reused to the transfer learning *** is demonstrated that the proposed pre-trained model can hold the ability to accurately diagnose the various fuel cell faults,including pressure,drying,flow,and flooding faults,with 99.92%accuracy,through the effective capture of the long-term dependencies in time series ***,a domain adaptive transfer convolutional network(DATCN)is established to improve the diagnosis accuracy across diverse fuel cells by learning domain-invariant *** results show that the DATCN model,tested on three different target domain devices with adversarial training using only 10%normal data,can achieve an average accuracy of 98.5%(30%improved over traditional diagnosis models).This proposed method provides an effective solution for accurate cross-domain diagnosis of PEMFC devices,significantly reducing the reliance on extensive fault data.

Advancing Early Detection of Colorectal Adenomatous Polyps via Genetic Data Analysis: A Hybrid Machine Learning Approach

In this study, a hybrid machine learning (HML)-based approach, incorporating Genetic data analysis (GDA), is proposed to accurately identify the presence of adenomatous colorectal polyps (ACRP) which is a crucial early detector of colorectal cancer (CRC). The present study develops a classification ensemble model based on tuned hyperparameters. Surpassing accuracy percentages of early detection approaches used in previous studies, the current method exhibits exceptional performance in identifying ACRP and diagnosing CRC, overcoming limitations of CRC traditional methods that are based on error-prone manual examination. Particularly, the method demonstrates the following CRP identification accuracy data: 97.7 ± 1.1, precision: 94.3 ± 5, recall: 96.0 ± 3, F1-score: 95.7 ± 4, specificity: 97.3 ± 1.2, average AUC: 0.97.3 ± 0.02, and average p-value: 0.0425 ± 0.07. The findings underscore the potential of this method for early detection of ACRP as well as clinical use in the development of CRC treatment planning strategies. The advantages of this approach are highly expected to contribute to the prevention and reduction of CRC mortality.

Utero-Cutaneous Fistula after Caesarean Section Delivery: Diagnosis and Management of a Rare Complication

Utero-cutaneous fistula following cesarean section is a rare occurrence. We present the case of a 34-year-old woman who presented to our department four years after her second cesarean section with a history of pain and blood discharge from a previous Pfannenstiel incision, during menstruation, with an absence of vaginal menstrual flow. Despite a prior surgical repair operation, her symptoms persisted. A pelvic MRI was done to confirm the diagnosis of utero-cutaneous fistula, and surgical management was pursued. This case report aims to contribute to the existing literature on utero-cutaneous fistula and provide insights into the diagnostic considerations and management strategies for this rare complication.

目的模拟训练(simulation-based training,SBT)是一种有效的教育方法,广泛应用于包括肿瘤学在内的多种临床环境中。该文对肿瘤学中与SBT相关的研究进行了范围综述,全面了解SBT在提高医护人员技能方面的作用,从而提高护理质量和患者安全。方法根据Arksey和O’Malley提出的范围综述方法框架,在Medline、Scopus和Web of Science数据库中检索于2012年至2022年发表的,与SBT在提高肿瘤科医护人员技能方面的相关研究文献,仅纳入经过同行评审的英文或法语文献。由2名研究员独立进行文献的筛选、提取和分析。结果检索出1013篇文章,共纳入29篇文献。其中25篇文献侧重于非技术技能,如决策技能、沟通和团队合作技能以及认知能力;13篇文献侧重于技术技能。纳入文献研究结果表明,通过SBT项目,肿瘤科医护人员的技能得到了显著提高。其中14篇文献对SBT的应用进行了主观评估,9篇文献对其进行了客观评估,6篇文献采用了主观和客观相结合的评估方法。结论SBT是提高肿瘤科医护人员技能的有效方法,支持和推广SBT对提供高质量的医疗服务和确保患者安全至关重要。

Novel brominated flame retardants(NBFRs)are a group of chemicals applied mainly as alternatives to the phased-out polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs).However,toxicological studies show that NBFRs may pose health risks similar to *** present study reviews available information on the biomonitoring of NBFRs and their metabolites in humans through invasive and non-invasive biomarkers,as well as the toxicological effects of these chemicals both in vivo and in *** general,higher concentrations of NBFRs were reported in tissues of occupationally exposed adults from NBFR production facilities,e-waste recycling facilities and inhabitants living close to these areas,compared to the general *** is worth noting that NBFR human biomonitoring data are limited to few countries located in North America,Europe and Asia,while data from developing countries are *** from in vivo and in vitro toxicity studies show that several NBFRs can cause adverse health effects through various modes of action,mainly:hormone disruption,genotoxicity,endocrine disruption,and behavioural *** few studies have investigated the biotransformation of NBFRs in humans,evidence suggests that the toxicity of some NBFRs may be augmented through their metabolites,as in the case of 2,3,4,5-tetrabromobenzoic acid(TBBA),which may exhibit higher toxicity than its parent compound 2-ethylhexyl-2,3,4,5-tetrabromobenzoate(EH-TBB).More research is required to assess toxicity thresholds,toxic endpoints,and tolerable intakes for various NBFRs,and their metabolites in *** epidemiological studies are highly recommended to further understand the risk arising from human exposure to different NBFRs,particularly in occupational settings.

The impact of chemotherapy-naïve open radical cystectomy delay and perioperative transfusion on the recurrence-free survival: A perioperative parameters-based nomogram

Objective: To develop and internally validate a nomogram to predict recurrence-free survival (RFS) including the time to radical cystectomy (RC) and perioperative blood transfusion (PBT) as potential ***: Patients who underwent open RC and ileal conduit between January 1996 to December 2016 were split into developing (n=948) and validating (n=237) cohorts. The time to radical cystectomy (TTC) was defined as the interval between the onset of symptoms and RC. The regression coefficients of the independent predictors obtained by Cox regression were used to construct the nomogram. Discrimination, validation, and clinical usefulness in the validation cohort were assessed by the area under the curve, the calibration plot, and decision curve ***: In the developing dataset, the 1-, 5-, and 10-year RFS were 83.0%, 47.2%, and 44.4%, respectively. On multivariate analysis, independent predictors were TTC (hazards ratio [HR] 1.07, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.05-1.08, p<0.001), PBT (one unit: HR 1.40, 95% CI 1.03-1.90, p=0.03;two or more units: HR 1.72, 95% CI 1.29-2.29, p<0.001), bilateral hydronephrosis (HR 1.54, 95% CI 1.21-1.97, p<0.001), squamous cell carcinoma (HR 0.60, 95% CI 0.45-0.81, p=0.001), pT3-T4 (HR 1.77, 95% CI 1.41-2.22, p<0.001), lymph node status (HR 1.53, 95% CI 1.21-1.95, p<0.001), and lymphovascular invasion (HR 1.28, 95% CI 1.01-1.62, p=0.044). The areas under the curve in the validation dataset were 79.3%, 69.6%, and 76.2%, for 1-, 5-, and 10-year RFS, respectively. Calibration plots showed considerable correspondence between predicted and actual survival probabilities. The decision curve analysis revealed a better net benefit of the ***: A nomogram with good discrimination, validation, and clinical utility was constructed utilizing TTC and PBT in addition to standard pathological criteria.
