Tremendous progress in nanomaterial and nanotechnology has been made in recent years,which greatly contributes to the development of inorganic nanoparticles(NPs)as luminescent probes in diverse biomedical applications.In particular,these luminescent nanoprobes are widely employed for sensitive assays of biomarkers like disease markers.Generally,the luminescent bioassay technologies mainly rely on conventional molecular probes such as lanthanide(Ln3+)chelates or organic dyes,which suffer from inferior photochemical stability,low photobleaching,potential long-term toxicity,or high background noise.In contrast,Ln3+-doped NPs possess distinct physicochemical properties including better photostability,lower toxicity,and superior optical properties like long photoluminescent(PL)lifetime,narrow emission band,and tunable spectral range from the ultraviolet to the second near-infrared(NIR-II),which make them extremely ideal as luminescent nanoprobes.As such,enormous research enthusiasm has been invested in this fascinating field of Ln3+-doped luminescent nanoprobes in recent years.Accordingly,background-free luminescent bioassays with high signal-to-noise have been achieved by employing Ln3+-doped NPs on the basis of their downshifting luminescence(DSL)with a long PL lifetime,NIR-II luminescence with long-wavelength emissions,or upconverting luminescence(UCL)upon NIR excitation.However,there are still key challenges for Ln3+-doped nanoprobes owing to their low brightness and quantum yield,which restrict their biomedical applications.During the past decade,we have explored efficient approaches for the synthesis and design of highly efficient Ln3+-doped nanoprobes toward ultrasensitive luminescent bioassay of disease markers.In this Account,we summarize our most recent endeavors toward the development of inorganic Ln3+-doped NPs as sensitive nanoprobes for luminescent bioassays.First,we overview the approaches of controlled synthesis and optical manipulation to obtain highly efficient Ln3+-doped NPs with desirable optical p

A New Extrapolation Economy Cascadic Multigrid Method for Image Restoration Problems

In this paper, a new extrapolation economy cascadic multigrid method is proposed to solve the image restoration model. The new method combines the new extrapolation formula and quadratic interpolation to design a nonlinear prolongation operator, which provides more accurate initial values for the fine grid level. An edge preserving denoising operator is constructed to remove noise and preserve image edges. The local smoothing operator reduces the influence of staircase effect. The experiment results show that the new method not only improves the computational efficiency but also ensures good recovery quality.

A Class of Smoothing Modulus-Based Iterative Method for Solving Implicit Complementarity Problems

In this paper, a class of smoothing modulus-based iterative method was presented for solving implicit complementarity problems. The main idea was to transform the implicit complementarity problem into an equivalent implicit fixed-point equation, then introduces a smoothing function to obtain its approximation solutions. The convergence analysis of the algorithm was given, and the efficiency of the algorithms was verified by numerical experiments.

NEXT:a neural network framework for next POI recommendation

The task of next POI recommendations has been studied extensively in recent years.However,developing a unified recommendation framework to incorporate multiple factors associated with both POIs and users remains challenging,because of the heterogeneity nature of these information.Further,effective mechanisms to smoothly handle cold-start cases are also a difficult topic.Inspired by the recent success of neural networks in many areas,in this paper,we propose a simple yet effective neural network framework,named NEXT,for next POI recommendations.NEXT is a unified framework to learn the hidden intent regarding user's next move,by incorporating different factors in a unified manner.Specifically,in NEXT,we incorporate meta-data information,e.g.,user friendship and textual descriptions of POIs,and two kinds of temporal contexts(i.e.,time interval and visit time).To leverage sequential relations and geographical influence,we propose to adopt DeepWalk,a network representation learning technique,to encode such knowledge.We evaluate the effectiveness of NEXT against other state-of-the-art alternatives and neural networks based solutions.Experimental results on three publicly available datasets demonstrate that NEXT significantly outperforms baselines in real-time next POI recommendations.Further experiments show inherent ability of NEXT in handling cold-start.

目的探究大麻二酚对咪喹莫特诱导的小鼠银屑病炎症反应和氧化应激指标的改善作用。方法将BALB/c小鼠随机对照组、模型组、他克莫司组、大麻二酚（50、100、150 mg/kg）组，每组8只。除对照组小鼠外，其他组小鼠背部每日均匀涂抹62.5 mg的5%咪喹莫特诱导银屑病模型，造模4 h后，他克莫司组小鼠背部均匀涂抹他克莫司乳膏、大麻二酚组均匀涂抹50、100、150 mg/kg大麻二酚醇溶液，对照组、模型组背部均匀涂抹凡士林，1次/d，连续7 d每天拍照记录PASI评分。末次给药24 h后用酶联免疫吸附法检测皮肤组织中白细胞介素-6(IL-6)和肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)的含量；苏木精–伊红染色（HE）皮损组织；对小鼠脾脏就进行称量，并计算脾脏指数。检测小鼠的皮肤组织中超氧化物歧化酶（SOD）活性及谷胱甘肽（GSH）、丙二醛（MDA）含量。结果 PASI评分及HE染色结果显示，与模型组比较，大麻二酚组可显著改善小鼠背部皮肤发红、增厚、皮屑增多等银屑病特征，小鼠背部皮肤表皮增厚现象明显减轻；脾脏指数显著降低（P<0.05、0.01）。在皮肤组织样本中，与模型组相比，大麻二酚组IL-6、TNF-α含量均明显降低（P<0.01、0.001）；大麻二酚组能显著提高银屑病小鼠背部皮肤组织中SOD活力和GSH含量，降低MDA的含量（P<0.01、0.001）。结论大麻二酚对咪喹莫特引发的小鼠银屑病样炎症具有显著的抑制作用，并对炎症细胞的浸润和氧化应激状态等细胞因子的产生具有抑制作用。

The Effect of Attendance Patterns on the Lek Mating System in the Omei Treefrog(Rhacophorus omeimontis)

Attendance patterns are a key factor affecting sexual selection and mating systems in lekbreeding species.However,there are few systematic studies on attendance patterns in lek-breeding anurans.In this study,we monitored a population of Omei treefrogs(Rhacophorus omeimontis) for four consecutive years to reveal in detail the effects of attendance patterns on mating systems.We found that(1) female nightly attendance was affected by male nightly attendance,and operational sex ratios(determined by male and female nightly attendance) ultimately determined the extent of female polyandry;(2) males surviving more than one breeding season maintained high chorus attendance and mating success,suggesting that male chorus attendance is a good predictor of male genetic quality;(3) the distributions of male mating success were not significantly different from a Poisson distribution,indicating a random mating pattern;and male mating success was not related to body size(size-assortative mating was not evident) but was significantly correlated with chorus attendance.Since the chorus attendance is a predictor of male genetic quality,females performing random mating were more likely to mate with more frequently present males and could therefore gain indirect benefits from mating with higher-than-average quality males,thereby producing good offspring without incurring the significant costs involved in prolonged searching for,and assessing males.Our systematic survey on the relationship between attendance patterns and the lek mating system in R.omeimontis could help us better understand in-depth anuran lek mating systems.

Mutual mate choice in the Asiatic toad, Bufo gargarizans,exerts stabilizing selection on body size

Sexual selection is critical to both reproduction and evolution.The effects of male–male competition and female choice regarding body size have been examined in a large number of taxa,including toad species.Males and females have different optimal reproductive strategies,achieving breeding advantages in discrepant ways.Further,the relative contributions of intra-and inter-sexual size selection vary among species.Thus,to understand the mechanisms affecting mating success,it is important to consider both male–male and male–female interactions simultaneously and elucidate their interrelationship.In this study,we measured body sizes of all mated and unmated individuals in a population of Asiatic toad(Bufo gargarizans)and counted fertilized eggs of several clutches.Based on correlation and regression techniques,we tested for female choice and intra-sexual competition among males relative to body size gradients,and we compared the relative importance of these two processes for mating success.Our results reveal that male–male competition and female choice simultaneously contribute to sexual selection in toads.Furthermore,both interactions are most intense among smaller toads.The synergistic trends of male–male competition and female choice support the mutual mate choice hypothesis and works to stabilize body size in B.gargarizans.Normal distributions of breeding success relative to body size were detected for both sexes,suggesting that medium-sized individuals enjoy a reproductive advantage in the population studied.

课程是人才培养的核心要素,课程的建设水平决定人才培养的质量。为了带动高校微生物学实验教学水平的不断提升,文中以生物学基础实验课程虚拟教研室开展的课程交流计划为主要数据来源,对国内11所高校的“微生物学实验”课程的教学改革情况进行了总结分析。通过对比发现:在课程内容和教学模式上呈现出与高校类型相关的差异,部属高校普遍能够为学生开设高水平研究型实验并采用线上线下混合式教学模式来增强教学效果;在教学方法和教学评价方式上呈现出“百家争鸣”的态势,各具特色。本文所归纳的“微生物学实验”课程的特色改革方法可作为高校相关课程实施改革的参考。

Modulus-Based Matrix Splitting Iteration Methods for a Class of Stochastic linear Complementarity Problem

For the expected value formulation of stochastic linear complementarity problem, we establish modulus-based matrix splitting iteration methods. The convergence of the new methods is discussed when the coefficient matrix is a positive definite matrix or a positive semi-definite matrix, respectively. The advantages of the new methods are that they can solve the large scale stochastic linear complementarity problem, and spend less computational time. Numerical results show that the new methods are efficient and suitable for solving the large scale problems.
