AIM: To explore the distribution and metabolism of 131 I-gelatin microspheres ( 131 I-GMSs) in rabbits after direct injection into rabbits’ ***: Twenty-eight healthy New Zealand rabbits were divided into seven groups,with four rabbits per *** rabbit’s hepatic lobes were directly injected with 41.336 ± 5.106 MBq 131 *** day after 131 I-GMSs administration,4 rabbits were randomly selected,and 250 μL of serum was collected for γ *** and thyroid functions were tested on days 1,4,8,16,24,32,48 and 64 after 131 I-GMSs ***-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) was taken for each group on days 0,1,4,8,16,24,32,48,64 after 131 I-GMSs administration.A group of rabbits were sacrificed respectively on days 1,4,16,24,32,48,64 after 131 I-GMSs *** livers were taken out for histological ***: After 131 I-GMSs administration,the nuclide was collected in the hepatic area with *** radiation could be detected on day 48 after 131 IGMSs administration,and radiography could be seen in thyroid areas in SPECT on days 4,8,16 and *** day after 131 I-GMSs administration,the liver function was damaged but recovered 4 d *** days after 131 I-GMSs administration,the levels of free triiodothyronine and free thyroxin were reduced,which restored to normal levels on day *** examination showed that the microspheres were degraded to different degrees at 24,32 and 48 d after 131 I-GMSs *** surrounding parts of injection points were in fibrous *** microspheres were detected in histological examination on day 64 after 131 I-GMSs ***: Direct in vivo injection of 131 I-GMSs is safe in *** may be a promising method for treatment of malignant tumors.

Land Use of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area and the Effect on Its Landscape Pattern in the Recent 50 Years

The paper makes detailed analysis on the changing processes of the main types of land use in Three Gorges Reservoir Area through the techniques of RS （Remote Sense） and GIS （Geography Information System）. Based on the theory of landscape ecology, many types of landscape pattern indexes are calculated and made correlation analysis. The results indicate that： in 1995 the ecological environment of Three Gorges Reservoir Area was the most vulnerable in the recent 50 years, but resumed in 2002; the landscape pattern diversity index, fractal dimension index and fragmentation index has close correlation with the area of land use/cover change （LUCC）. The research also releases that the increase of the cultivated land, grassland and construction land deteriorates the landscape ecological pattern, while the increase of forest land area will help restore the landscape ecological pattern to its original state. The rapid change of grassland is an important index of the change of landscape pattern, because it has the most effect on change of landscape pattern index.

By means of combining auto-extraction with manual interpretation, the current distribution information about cultivated land is obtained. The distribution information of 1992 is extracted from the dynamic polygons of 2002. The monitoring mini-system of the cultivated slope land is established. In the system, detailed surveys, focused on the resources of cultivated slope land, are carried out. The results indicate that the area of the cultivated slope land is very large. Meanwhile, there are lots of cultivated steep slopes with gradient above 35°. The areas of steep land cultivated had been slowly reduced from 1992 to 2002. At the same time, the pressures of returning farm land to forestry are great in all counties. The conflicts between population growth, insufficient grain supply and stagnant economic development sharpen increasingly. It is inevitable to improve the agricultural structure.

This paper established sustainable land resources evaluating indicators fit for hilly area in sichuan Basin, Southwest of china, and evaluated the case of sustainable land management of Lezhi County from 1990 to 2001. The result showed that the land resource sustainable utilization ability in Lezhi County is belong to Second level （better sustainable）. Secondly, this paper diagnosed some years obstacles of sustainable land management of Lezhi County from base period to goal period and compared the obstacles factors in the indicators system. There were 16 indexes orderly become major affect factor to land sustainable utilization of Lezhi county in indicator system, of which there are 8 obstacles indexes exist both in 1990 and 2001. The value of obstacles degree of five indicators exceeded 5 in 1990, but in 2001, only two indicators＇ values were more than 5.

AIM: Hepatic stellate cell (HSC) plays a pivotal role inliver fibrosis and is considered as the therapeutic targetfor the treatment of hepatic fibrosis. Tyrosine proteinkinase plays an important role in the proliferation,activation of HSC. The purpose of the study is toinvestigate the effects of the tyrosine protein kinaseinhibitor genistein onthe proliferation and activationof cultured rat HscMETHODS: Rat HSC were isolated from Wistar rats by insitu perfusion of collagenase and pronase and single-stepdensity Nycodenz gradient. Culture-activated HSC wereserum-starved and incubated with 10-3 to 10-5 mol/Lconcentration of genistein for 24, 48 or 72 h. In PDGF-induced HSC proliferation, HSC were stimulatel with L0μg@L-1PDGF-BB for 15 min, and then treaeed with genisteinfor the same time. Cell proliferation was measured byMTr assay and based on flow cytometric analysis of cellcycle. The a-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) expression inHSC was studied with confocal laser microscopy and flowcytometry. c-fos c-jun and cyclin D1 expression in HSCwas also detected by flow ***: Genistein inhibited basal and PDGF-inducedproliferation of HSC at the concentration of 10-8 to 10-5mol/L, and treatment with 10-7 mol/L concentration ofgenistein for 48 h inhibited the HSC proliferationsignificantly (the inhibition rate was 70.3 %, P＜0.05).Immunofluorescence detected by confocal lasermicroscopy and flow cytometry showed that treatmentwith 10-7 mol/L genistein for 48 h suppressed theexpression of α-SMA significantly in HSC (the specificfluorescence intensity were 60.2±21.5 vs 35.3±11.6and 12.8± 10.4 vs9.54±6.39, respectively, both P＜0.05).The intensity of c-fos, c-jun and cydin D1 expression ofHSCs treated with 10-7 mol/L genistein for 48 h wasalso significantly decreased compared with the ***: Genistein influences proliferation of HSC,suppresses the expression of α-SMA in HSC and tinhibits the intensity of c-fos, c-jun and cyclin D1expression of HSCs. By using red yeast (Rhodotorula rubra AS 2.166) resting cells which possess the phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL, EC 4.***.1.5) activity as biocataiyst, enantiomerically pure S-3-(2-chloro-phenyl) alanine (2a) and S-3-(3-hydroxyphenyl) alanine (2d) have been synthesized from the corresponding 3-aryl substituted acrylic acid (1a and 1d) and ammonia.

Synthesis of an enzyme-dependent prodrug and evaluation of its potential for colon targeting

AIM: To synthesize dexamethasone-succinate-dextran(DSD) conjugate and to evaluate the potentiality of DSD forthe treatment of inflammatory bowel ***: Dexamethasone was attached to dextran(average molecular weight＝70 400 Dalton) using succinateanhydride in an anhydrous environment catalyzed by 4-dimethylaminopyridine and 1, 1′-carbonyldiimidazole. Thechemical structure of DSD was identified by UV, IR and NMR,and the in vivo drug release behavior of this prodrug wasinvestigated after oral administration of DSD ***: The DSD conjugate was obtained in two stepsand the content of dexamethasone in DSD was 11.28 %.The dextran prodrug was stable in rat stomach and smallintestine and negligibly absorbed from these tracts. Four tonine hours after the oral administration, most of the prodrug(＞95 %) had moved to the cecum and colon, and was easilyhydrolyzed by an endodextranase. Recover ofdexamethasone from colon and cecum after administrationof DSD conjugate was 6-12 folds higher than the recoveryafter administration of unmodified dexamethasone(t＝2.74,P＜0.05). The preferential release of free dexamethasone incecum and colon over that in the small intestine wasstatistically significant (t＝2.27, P＜0.05).CONCLUSION: The results of this study indicate thatdextran conjugates may be useful in selectively deliveringglucocorticoids to the colon.

Assessing the Carrying Capacity of Tourist Resorts: An Application of Tourists’ Spatial Behavior Simulator Based on GIS and Multi-Agent System

Based on the study of visitors' individual spatial behaviors, a tourists'spatial behavior simulator (TSBS) to assess the carrying capacity of tourist resorts was developed,TSBS employs GIS (Geographic Information System) to manage the spatial data,and Multi-Agent systemto simulate the actions of individual visitors. By utilizing TSBS, visitors' travel patterns such aslocation, cost, and state can be analyzed and predicted. Based on this analysis and prediction, themodel of assessing the carrying capacity of resorts is built. Our results show that TSBS will be aneffective tool to accurately assess the carrying capacity of tourist resorts.

Ecological Footprint and Ecological Security Evaluation in the Upper Min River Basin

On the basis of the ecological footprint (EF) model, this paper studied theecological security in the Upper Min River Basin ecosystem. The result shows that with 2. 038 2 hm^2per capita ecological capacity (0. 422 2 hm^2 higher than per capita EF) ,and 165 825 hm^2 ecologysurplus , the ecosystem in Upper Min River is generally secure at present. But the arable land isoverweighed and omens an eco-security crisis. Meanwhile, problems such as low forest coverage rate,severe loss of water and soil,enlargement of arid-valley area, frequent occurrence of mountainhazards and degradation of pastures have been major threats to the eco-security of this region. Thecalculation result of ten-thousand-yuan ( RMB) GDP shows that the use of natural resources isextensive, and there will be a rapid increase tendency of EF in the future. In order to maintain thepresent eco-security, the ways of use natural resources must be improved in the Upper Min RiverBasin.

川东北地区礁滩储层埋深大,空间展布复杂多变,因针对深层复杂礁滩储层的地震预测技术还不够完善,一直制约着该区的勘探发展。为此,以川东北元坝地区长兴组礁滩储层为研究对象,对礁滩储层预测技术进行了探索和总结,形成一套以礁滩储层数值模拟技术、小波多尺度边缘检测技术、基于波形复杂程度的储层检测技术、礁滩复合体空间分布预测技术、地震属性分析技术、地震相分析及沉积相解释技术、低频伴影技术以及"相控法"精细储层描述技术等为核心的多尺度地震识别方法,并在元坝地区获得了良好的应用效果,落实了元坝地区长兴组台缘礁滩复合体、礁后浅滩、礁间滩、台内滩4种类型7个勘探目标,已完钻的井均钻遇白云岩储层,并均获得工业气流,表明该技术方法具有推广应用的价值。
