Objective To evaluate the impact of hypertension on the clinical outcome of COVID-19 patients aged 60 years old and *** This single-center retrospective cohort study enrolled consecutive COVID-19 patients aged 60 years old and older,who were admitted to Liyuan Hospital from January 1,2020 to April 25,*** included patients were divided into two groups:hypertension and nonhypertension *** baseline demographic characteristics,laboratory test results,chest computed tomography(CT)images and clinical outcomes were collected and *** prognostic value of hypertension was determined using binary logistic *** Among the 232 patients included in the analysis,105(45.3%)patients had comorbid *** to the nonhypertension group,patients in the hypertension group had higher neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratios,red cell distribution widths,lactate dehydrogenase,high-sensitivity C-reactive protein,D-dimer and severity of lung lesion,and lower lymphocyte counts(all P<0.05).Furthermore,the hypertension group had a higher proportion of intensive care unit admissions[24(22.9%)vs.14(11.0%),P=0.02]and deaths[16(15.2%)vs.3(2.4%),P<0.001]and a significantly lower probability of survival(P<0.001)than the nonhypertension ***(OR:4.540,95%CI:1.203–17.129,P=0.026)was independently correlated with all-cause in-hospital death in elderly patients with *** The elderly COVID-19 patients with hypertension tend to have worse conditions at baseline than those without *** may be an independent prognostic factor of poor clinical outcome in elderly COVID-19 patients.

Covalent organic frameworks（COFs） are promising materials for mitigating polysulfide shuttling in lithium-sulfur（Li-S） batteries,but enhancing their ability to convert polysulfides across a wide temperature range remains a challenge,Herein,we introduce a redox-active COF（RaCOF） that functions as both a physical barrier and a kinetic enhancer to improve the temperature adaptability of Li-S batteries,The RaCOF constructed from redox-active anthraquinone units accelerates polysulfide conversion kinetics through reversible C=O/C-OLi transformations within a voltage range of 1,7 to 2.8 V（***+/Li）,optimizing sulfur redox reactions in ether-based *** conventional COFs,RaCOF provides bidentate trapping of polysulfides,increasing binding energy and facilitating more effective polysulfide ***-situ XRD and ToF-SIMS analyses confirm that RaCOF enhances polysulfide adsorption and promotes the transformation of lithium sulfide（Li2S）,leading to better sulfur cathode ***,RaCOF-modified Li-S batteries demonstrate low self-discharge（4.0% decay over a 7-day rest）,excellent wide-temperature performance（stable from-10 to+60℃）,and high-rate cycling stability（94% capacity retention over 500 cycles at 5.0 C）.This work offers valuable insights for designing COF structures aimed at achieving temperature-adaptive performance in rechargeable batteries.

Personal care products(PCPs)are a class of emerging pollutants that have attracted public concern owing to their harmful effects on humans and the *** data is valuable for insight the levels of PCPs in the human body and can be crucial for identifying potential health *** gain a better understanding of timely exposure profiles and health risk of reproductive-age population to PCPs,we determined six parabens,six benzophenone-type ultraviolet filters,and three disinfectants in 256 urine samples collected from young adults aged 18-44 years in Beijing,*** urinary levels of benzophenone-3(BP-3)and 4-hydroxybenzophenone(4-OHBP)were significantly higher in summer compared to winter,suggesting these compounds have different seasonal usage ***,the total concentration of 15 PCPs in female was 430 ng/mL,approximately two times higher than that in male.P-chloro-m-xylenol(PCMX),as a new type of antibacterial agent,has the greatest level among all target analytes,indicating the increasingly use of this antibacterial alternative *** potential influencing factors that lead to the elevated exposure level of PCPs were *** 19%of the target population had a high hazard index value(greater than 1)which was attributed to exposure to propyl paraben(PrP),benzophenone-1(BP-1),BP-3 and PCMX,indicating that PCPs may pose a relatively high exposure risk at environmental levels that should be a cause for concern.

Electronic-state modulation strategy offers great potential in designing RuO2-based bifunctionalelectrocatalysts for rechargeable Zn-air batteries（ZABs）.Various three-dimensional（3D） transition metal oxides are attempted to couple with RuO2for constructing an appropriate Ru—O—M *** work aims to construct Co3O4-RuO2heterostructures on carbon sheets（Co3O4/RuO2/NCNS） for boosting electronic transfer and *** and theoretical calculations identify the electronic transfer from Co3O4to RuO2that modulates the electronic structure of metal surfaces/***,it leads to the increase in Co3+content,electron-rich state at RuO2surface and electronic accumulation at ***,this electronic-state modulation optimizes the d-band center in Co3O4/RuO2that lowers the reaction barriers and endows interfaces as the biggest contributor to oxygen reduction reaction（ORR） and oxygen evolution reaction（OER） performance,The Co3O4/RuO2/NCNS shows a quite low potential difference of 0.62 V and remarkable durability for ORR/***3O4/RuO2/NCNS-assembled ZABs exhibit an excellent specific capacity of 818.3 mA h g-1and a superior lifespan over 750 h.

Mineral fulvic acid(MFA)was used as an eco-friendly pyrite depressant to recover chalcopyrite by flotation with the use of the butyl xanthate as a *** experiments showed that MFA produced a stronger inhibition effect on pyrite than on *** separation of chalcopyrite from pyrite was realized by introducing 150 mg/L MFA at a pulp pH of approximately *** copper grade,copper recovery,and separation efficiency were 28.03%,84.79%,and 71.66%,*** adsorption tests,zeta potential determinations,and localized electrochemical impedance spectroscopy tests showed that more MFA adsorbed on pyrite than on chalcopyrite,which weakened the subsequent interactions between pyrite and the *** force microscope imaging further confirmed the adsorption of MFA on pyrite,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results indicated that hydrophilic Fe-based species on the pyrite surfaces increased after exposure of pyrite to MFA,thereby decreasing the floatability of pyrite.

To monitor nuclear and radiation emergencies,it is crucial to obtain accurate in situ measurements of the environmentalγ radiation dose rate from key radionuclides,particularly for large radioactive surface *** methods currently used for measuring dose rates are inadequate for obtaining the dose rates of key radionuclides and have large angular response errors when monitoring surface *** address this practical problem,this study proposes three methods for measuring the dose rate:the weighted peak total ratio,mean value regression,and numerical integration *** methods are based on energy-spectrum measurement data,and they were theoretically derived and numerically ***,a 1-m-long hexagonal radioactive surface source was integrated into a larger surface *** situ measurement experiments were conducted on a large radioactive surface source using a dose-rate meter and a portable HPGespectrometer to analyze the errors of the three aforementioned methods and verify their validity.

Liquid-liquid transition in metallic melts is an intriguing phenomenon often confused with liquid-liquid separation, oxidation or precipitation. Here, we employ a state-of-the-art ultrafast chip-based differential scanning calorimeter to investigate the thermal behavior of six metallic melts, ranging from unary to quinary systems, at temperatures above their liquidus. Calorimetric signals of liquid-liquid transition vary across systems: Sn melts showed no direct endothermic or exothermic events, though liquid-liquid transition influenced solidification and melting temperatures, while Yb-Zn melts exhibited an exothermic peak during cooling,indicating liquid-liquid transition. Thermal signals in other systems including Li, Pd-Ni-P, Yb-Mg-Zn-Cu and Au-Ag-Pd-Cu-Si,are primarily driven by compositional changes. Our in-situ analysis provides new insights into the structural and compositional evolution of metallic melts, offering significant implications for the design and processing of novel materials.
