Degradation of tetracycline in water by gas-liquid plasma in conjunction with rGO-TiO_(2) nanocomposite

Tetracycline(TC)is an antibiotic mainly used in livestock production and respiratory *** methods are not effective in removing TC from *** this study,TC was degraded by gas–liquid plasma in the presence of rGO-TiO_(2)in *** rGO-TiO_(2)was prepared by modified hummers and hydrothermal *** electrical and optical properties of the gas–liquid discharge plasma were studied and the produced long-lived reactive species were analyzed by *** degradation efficiency of TC was improved by 41.4%after plasma treatment for 12 min in presence of 30 mg l-1 r GO-TiO_(2)compared to that with plasma *** degradation efficiency increased with increasing discharge power,but as the initial concentration was increased from 20 to 80 mg l-1,the degradation efficiency of TC *** initial p H had no significant effect on the degradation of *** intermediate products were determined by UV–vis spectrophotometry and ESI(+)–MS,and the degradation mechanism was *** reactive species,including O_(3),·OH,and H_(2)O_(2),etc.,produced in the plasma/catalyst system attracted electron-rich functional groups(amino group,aromatic ring,and double bond).Therefore,the gas–liquid plasma/catalyst system could be an effective and promising method for pharmaceutical wastewater treatment in future.

In this paper, we consider solving the Helmholtz equation in the Cartesian domain , subject to homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition, discretized with the Chebyshev pseudo-spectral method. The main purpose of this paper is to present the formulation of a two-level decomposition scheme for decoupling the linear system obtained from the discretization into independent subsystems. This scheme takes advantage of the homogeneity property of the physical problem along one direction to reduce a 2D problem to several 1D problems via a block diagonalization approach and the reflexivity property along the second direction to decompose each of the 1D problems to two independent subproblems using a reflexive decomposition, effectively doubling the number of subproblems. Based on the special structure of the coefficient matrix of the linear system derived from the discretization and a reflexivity property of the second-order Chebyshev differentiation matrix, we show that the decomposed submatrices exhibits a similar property, enabling the system to be decomposed using reflexive decompositions. Explicit forms of the decomposed submatrices are derived. The decomposition not only yields more efficient algorithm but introduces coarse-grain parallelism. Furthermore, it preserves all eigenvalues of the original matrix.

Drug-induced liver injury(DILI)is caused by various drugs with complex pathogenesis,and diverse clinical and pathological *** damage the liver directly through drug hepatotoxicity,or indirectly through drug-mediated oxidative stress,immune injury and inflammatory insult,which eventually lead to hepatocyte *** studies have found that the composition,relative content and distribution of gut microbiota in patients and animal models of DILI have changed *** has been confirmed that gut microbial dysbiosis brings about intestinal barrier destruction and microorganisms translocation,and the alteration of microbial metabolites may cause or aggravate *** addition,antibiotics,probiotics,and fecal microbiota transplantation are all emerging as prospective therapeutic methods for DILI by regulating the gut *** this review,we discussed how the altered gut microbiota participates in DILI.

Seeds,the reproductive organs of plants,are common as trace evidence from crime *** evidence could be grouped into several categories based on the types of crimes they are associated with,including child abuse,homicides and *** commonly,seeds are examined microscopically and identified to the plant species level to show a linkage between persons and *** recently,forensic researchers have evaluated the poten-tial for extracting and typing DNA from seeds to further individualize the *** a model system,tomato seeds were examined microscopically after different cooking treat-ments and assessed for the potential to DNA type seeds for variety identification.A sufficient quantity and quality of DNA were recovered from uncooked,digested and undigested tomato seeds for amplified fragment length polymorphism(AFLP)analysis;however,any form of cooking destroyed the seed DNA.A simple microscopic analysis was able to distin-guish between a cooked tomato seed versus an uncooked *** article is intended to provide an overview of case examples and current techniques for the forensic examination of seeds as plant-derived evidence.

Magnetoresistance (MR) is a fundamental transport phenomenon crucial for reading magnetic states. It also plays a key role in understanding how time-reversal symmetry breaking affects electrical resistance. Landmark discoveries of anisotropic MR [1], giant MR [2], tunneling MR [3], and spin Hall magnetoresistance [4] have driven the development of diverse spintronic devices used in data storage, computing, and sensing technologies. Typically, these MR effects do not scale linearly with the electric field (and thus, electric current). Recently,nonlinear MR, which scales specifically with the electric current(Ic), has been demonstrated. In magnetic/non-magnetic bilayers,unidirectional spin Hall magnetoresistance (USMR)[5] shows a linear dependence on Ic, with voltage scaling quadratically with the applied electric field, due to interfacial spin-dependent and electron-magnon scattering mechanisms.

Diamond reinforced copper（Cu/diamond） composites were prepared by pressure infiltration for their application in thermal management where both high thermal conductivity and low coefficient of thermal expansion（CTE） are *** were characterized by the microstructure and thermal properties as a function of boron content,which is used for matrix-alloying to increase the interfacial bonding between the diamond and *** obtained composites show high thermal conductivity（660 W/（m·K）） and low CET（7.4×10-6 K-1） due to the formation of the B13C2 layer at the diamond-copper interface,which greatly strengthens the interfacial *** property measurements indicate that in the Cu-B/diamond composites,the thermal conductivity and the CTE show a different variation trend as a function of boron content,which is attributed to the thickness and distribution of the interfacial carbide *** CTE behavior of the present composites can be well described by Kerner＇s model,especially for the composites with 0.5wt% B.
