BACKGROUND Multiple primary cancers are rare occurrences that can involve either metachronous or synchronous *** is particularly rare for an individual to have more than two primary *** this report,we present a case study of an elderly man who was diagnosed with three heterochronous cancers in the renal pelvis,bladder,and *** SUMMARY On December 30,2014,a 51-year-old Chinese man was admitted to our hospital with complaints of intermittent painless gross hematuria for the preceding week.A computed tomography(CT)scan revealed wall thickening in the left ureter’s upper segment,while a CT urography revealed a left renal pelvis tumor.A successful laparoscopic radical resection of the left renal pelvis tumor was subsequently performed at Shanghai zhongshan Hospital in January *** pathological findings after the surgery revealed a low-grade papillary urothelial carcinoma of the renal *** final pathological tumor stage was *** surgery,this patient received 6 cycles of intravenous chemotherapy with gemcitabine and carboplatin,as well as bladder infusion therapy with *** December 18,2017,the patient was admitted once again to our hospital with a one-day history of painless gross hematuria.A CT scan showed the presence of a space-occupying lesion on the posterior wall of *** examination revealed multiple tumors in the bladder and right cutaneous ureterostomy was performed under general anesthesia on December 29,*** postoperative pathological findings disclosed multifocal papillary urothelial carcinoma of the bladder(maximum size 3.7 cm×2.6 cm).The bladder cancer was considered a metastasis of the renal pelvis cancer after *** pathological tumor stage was *** patient refused chemotherapy after *** another six years,the patient returned on February 28,2023,complaining of periumbilical pain that had lasted six *** time,a CT scan of the abdomen showed a tumor in the ascen

BACKGROUND Spontaneous bladder rupture is relatively rare,and common causes of spontaneous bladder rupture include bladder diverticulum,neurogenic bladder dysfunction,gonorrhea infection,pelvic radiotherapy,*** bladder perforation caused by urinary catheterization mostly occurs during the intubation *** SUMMARY Here,we describe an 83-year-old male who was admitted with 26 h of middle and upper abdominal pain and a history of long-term *** examination and computed tomography of the abdomen supported the diagnosis of diffuse peritonitis,most likely from a perforated digestive tract *** exploration revealed a possible digestive tract ***,a perforation of approximately 5 mm in diameter was found in the bladder wall during *** reviewing the patient's previous medical records,we found that 1 year prior the patient underwent an ultrasound examination showing that the end of the catheter was embedded into the mucosal layer of the ***,the bladder perforation in this patient may have been caused by the chronic compression of the urinary catheter against the bladder *** For patients with long-term indwelling catheters,there is a possibility of bladder perforation,which needs to be dealt with quickly.

Non-linear Viscoelastic Rheological Properties of PCC/PEG Suspensions

The shear thinning and shear thickening rheological properties of PCC/PEG suspension were investigated with the increase of oscillatory amplitude stress at different constant frequencies. The results show that the complex viscosity was initially independent of stress amplitude and obvious shear thinning occurred, then dramatic shear thickening took place after reaching the minimum viscosity. Typically, in a constant frequency of 5 rad/s, the elastic modulus, viscous modulus, and tanδ （δ is the out-of-phase angle） vs. the stress amplitude was investigated. It is found that the elastic modulus initially appeared to be independent of stress amplitude and then exhibited a rapid decrease, but the viscous modulus was independent of amplitude stress at lower amplitude stress. After reaching the minimum value the viscous modulus showed a rapid increase. On the other hand, tanδ increased from 0.6 to 92, which indicates that the transition from elastic to viscous had taken place and tanδ showed a steep increase when shear thickening occurred. Lissajous plots are shown for the dissipated energy vs. different maximum stress amplitude in the shear thinning and shear thickening regions. The relationship of dissipated energy vs. maximum stress amplitude was determined, which follows a power law. In the shear thinning region the exponent was 1.91, but it steeply increases to 3.97 in the shear thickening region.

Market participants can only bid with lagged information disclosure under the existing market mechanism,which can lead to information asymmetry and irrational market behavior,thus influencing market *** promote rational bidding behavior of market participants and improve market efficiency,a novel electricity market mechanism based on cloudedge collaboration is proposed in this *** market information,called residual demand curve,is published to market participants in real-time on the cloud side,while participants on the edge side are allowed to adjust their bids according to the information disclosure prior to closure *** proposed mechanism can encourage rational bids in an incentive-compatible way through the process of dynamic equilibrium while protecting participants’*** paper further formulates the mathematical model of market equilibrium to simulate the process of each market participant’s strategic bidding behavior towards equilibrium.A case study based on the IEEE 30-bus system shows the proposed market mechanism can effectively guide bidding behavior of market participants,while condensing exchanged information and protecting privacy of participants.

Miniaturized power detection module operating in millimeter wave band

Multiple Soliton Asymptotics in a Spin-1 Bose–Einstein Condensate

Spinor Bose–Einstein condensates(BECs)are formed when atoms in the multi-component BECs possess single hyperfine spin states but retain internal spin degrees of *** study concentrates on a(1+1)-dimensional three-couple Gross–Pitaevskii system to depict the macroscopic spinor BEC waves within the meanfield *** the distribution of the atoms corresponding to the three vertical spin projections,a known binary Darboux transformation is utilized to derive the𝑁matter-wave soliton solutions and triple-pole matter-wave soliton solutions on the zero background,where𝑁is a positive *** those multiple matterwave solitons,the asymptotic analysis is performed to obtain the algebraic expressions of the soliton components in the𝑁matter-wave solitons and triple-pole matter-wave *** asymptotic results indicate that the matter-wave solitons in the spinor BECs possess the property of maintaining their energy content and coherence during the propagation and ***,in the𝑁matter-wave solitons,each soliton component contributes to the phase shifts of the other soliton components;and in the triple-pole matter-wave solitons,stable attractive forces exist between the different matter-wave soliton *** multiple matter-wave solitons are graphically illustrated through three-dimensional plots,density plot and contour plot,which are consistent with the asymptotic analysis *** present analysis may provide the explanations for the complex natural mechanisms of the matter waves in the spinor BECs,and may have potential applications in designs of atom lasers,atom interferometry and coherent atom transport.

Efficient generation of spin polarization is very important for spintronics and quantum computation. In chiral materials without magnetic order nor spin-orbit coupling, we find a new spin selectivity effect—chiral phonon activated spin Seebeck(CPASS)effect. Starting with the nonequilibrium distribution of chiral phonons under a temperature gradient, the CPASS coefficients are computed based on the Boltzmann transport theory. With both the phonon-drag and band transport contributions, the spin accumulations generated by the CPASS effect exhibit quadratic dependence on the temperature gradient. The strength of the CPASS effect and the relative magnitude of both contributions are tunable by the chemical potential modulation. The CPASS effect, which gives a promising explanation on the traditional chiral-induced spin selectivity effect, provides opportunities for the exploration of advanced spintronic devices based on chiral materials even in the absence of any magnetic order and spin-orbit coupling.
