Mutation analysis of 13 driver genes of colorectalcancer-related pathways in Taiwan Residents patients

AIM To investigate the driver gene mutations associatedwith colorectal cancer （CRC） in the Taiwan ***： In this study, 103 patients with CRCwere evaluated. The samples consisted of 66 menand 37 women with a median age of 59 years and anage range of 26-86 years. We used high-resolutionmelting analysis （HRM） and direct DNA sequencing tocharacterize the mutations in 13 driver genes of CRCrelatedpathways. The HRM assays were conductedusing the LightCycler？ 480 Instrument provided with the software LightCycler 480 Gene Scanning SoftwareVersion 1.5. We also compared the clinicopathologicaldata of CRC patients with the driver gene ***： Of the 103 patients evaluated, 73.79%had mutations in one of the 13 driver genes. Wediscovered 18 novel mutations in APC , MLH1 , MSH2 ,PMS2 , SMAD4 and TP53 that have not been previouslyreported. Additionally, we found 16 de novo mutationsin APC , BMPR1A , MLH1 , MSH2 , MSH6 , MUTYH andPMS2 in cancerous tissues previously reported in thedbSNP database; however, these mutations couldnot be detected in peripheral blood cells. The APCmutation correlates with lymph node metastasis（34.69% vs 12.96%, P = 0.009） and cancer stage（34.78% vs 14.04%, P = 0.013）. No association wasobserved between other driver gene mutations andclinicopathological features. Furthermore, having twoor more driver gene mutations correlates with thedegree of lymph node metastasis （42.86% vs 24.07%,P = 0.043）.CONCLUSION： Our findings confirm the importanceof 13 CRC-related pathway driver genes in the developmentof CRC in Taiwan Residents patients.

Experimental study of dual nano-network, high-temperature resistant aerogel material as an integration of thermal management functions

Thermal management system is highly desirable to guarantee the performance and thermal safety of lithium-ion batteries,but it reduces the energy density of battery modules and even is unable to provide highly effective ***,a thermal management function integrated material is presented based on high-temperature resistant aerogel and phase change material and is applied at both charge–discharge process and thermal runaway *** this sandwich structure Paraffin@SiC nanowire/Aerogel sheet (denoted as PA@SAS) system,SiC nanowires endow the middle aerogel sheet (SAS) a dual nano-network *** enhanced mechanical properties of SAS were studied by compressive tests and dynamic mechanical ***,the thermal conductivity of SAS at 600°C is only 0.042 W/(m K).The surface phase change material layers facilitate temperature uniformity of batteries (surface temperature difference less than 1.82°C) through latent ***,a large-format battery module with four 58 Ah LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2LIBs was ***@SAS successfully prevents thermal runaway propagation,yielding a temperature gap of 602°C through the 2 mm-thick cross ***@SAS also exhibits excellent performance in other safety issues such as temperature rise rate,flame heat flux,*** lightweight property and effective insulation performance achieves significant safety enhancement with mass and volume energy density reduction of only 0.79%and 5.4%,*** originality of the present research stems from the micro and macro structure design of the proposed thermal management material and the combination of intrinsic advantages of every *** work provides a reliable design of achieving the integration of thermal management functions into an aerogel composite and improves the thermal safety of lithium-ion batteries.

Enhanced rate capability and cycle stability of Ti2C MXene for sodium storage through an aniline molecules welding strategy

MXenes obtained significant attention in the field of energy storage devices due to their characteristic layered structure,modifiable surface functional groups,large electrochemically active surface,and regulable interlayer ***,the self-restacking and sluggish ions diffusion kinetics performance of MXenes during the alkali metal ions insertion/extraction process severely impedes their cycle stability and rate *** paper proposes an aniline molecule welding strategy for welding p-phenylenediamine（PPDA） into the interlayers of Ti2C through a dehydration condensation *** welded PPDA molecules can contribute pillar effect to the layered structure of *** pillar effect effectively maintains the structural stability during the sodium ions insertion/extraction process and effectively expands the interlayer spacing of Ti2C from 1.16 to 1.38 nm,thereby enhancing ions diffusion kinetics performance and improving the long-term cycle *** Ti2C-PPDA demonstrates outstanding Na+storage capability,exhibiting a specific capacity of 100.2 mAh·g-1at a current density of 0.1 A·g-1over 960 cycles and delivering a remarkable rate capability 81.2 mAh·g-1at a current density of 5 A·*** study demonstrates that expanding interlayer spacing is a promising strategy to enhance the Na+storage capacity and improve long-term cycling stability,which provides significant guidance for the design of two-dimensional Na+storage materials with high-rate capability and cycle stability.

Extended observer-based consensus tracking control for MASs with external disturbance and dynamic event-triggered strategy

This article explores the leader-following consensus tracking(LFCK) control issues of multi-agent systems(MASs)in the presence of external disturbances and general directed fixed communication topology. Its purpose is to enable all follower agents to achieve consensus tracking for the leader agent. Firstly, this article introduces an extended state observer for estimating each follower agent's unknown state and external disturbance. Subsequently, on the basis of the above-extended state observer and a dynamic event-triggered strategy, a distributed consensus tracking control protocol with disturbances restraint is developed,which can reduce the MAS's update frequency on the premise of ensuring the control protocol's effectiveness. Furthermore,the MAS's stability and the absence of Zeno behavior are analyzed and proved by the established Lyapunov functional and linear matrix inequality theory. Finally, the validity and feasibility of the proposed approach are validated through a group of comparative numerical simulation experiments.

The hot deformation behavior of Pt−10Ir alloy was studied under a wide range of deformation *** a low deformation temperature(950−1150℃),the softening mechanism is primarily dynamic *** addition,dynamic recrystallization by progressive lattice rotation near grain boundaries(DRX by LRGBs)and microshear bands assisted dynamic recrystallization(MSBs assisted DRX)coordinate the ***,it is difficult for the dynamic softening to offset the stain hardening due to a limited amount of DRXed *** a high deformation temperature(1250−1350℃),three main DRX mechanisms associated with strain rates occur:DRX by LRGBs,DRX by a homogeneous increase in misorientation(HIM)and geometric DRX(GDRX).With increasing strain,DRX by LRGBs is enhanced gradually under high strain rates;the“pinch-off”effect is enhanced at low strain rates,which was conducive to the formation of a uniform and fine microstructure.

Cerium Oxide Nanoparticles Alleviate Enhanced UV-B Radiation-Induced Stress in Wheat Seedling Roots by Regulating Reactive Oxygen Species

Enhanced UV-B radiation represents a major environmental factor impacting global cereal *** have explored various approaches to reduce the detrimental impact of UV-B radiation on ***,engineered nanoparticles,particularly cerium oxide nanoparticles(CeO_(2)-NPs),have attracted widespread interest for their ability to boost plant tolerance to a range of abiotic *** study investigates how CeO_(2)-NPs application affects the morphology,physiology,biochemistry,and transcriptomics profiles of wheat seedling roots subjected to enhanced UV-B *** findings demonstrate that CeO_(2)-NPs notably promoted root length,fresh and dry weights,and root activity(p<0.05)under enhanced UV-B ***_(2)-NP treatment reduced the content of hydrogen peroxide<(H_(2)O_(2))and malondialdehyde(MDA)in wheat,alleviating oxidative damage in seedling roots and partially restoring the root *** non-UV-B stress conditions,CeO_(2)-NP treatment triggered the difference of 237 transcripts in plants relative to the control *** enhanced UV-B stress,CeO_(2)-NP treatment exhibited differentially expressed genes(DEGs)linked to the antioxidant defense mechanism responsible for reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging,compared to the non-nanoparticle *** suggests that ROS scavenging may be a key mechanism by which CeO_(2)-NPs enhance wheat resistance to enhanced UV-B *** study elucidates a potential molecular mechanism through which CeO_(2)nanoparticles may enhance wheat tolerance to UV-B stress.

An Additional Harmonic Current Based Line Protection Method of Active Distribution Network

With the penetration of inverter-interfaced distributed generators (IIDGs) raised, the fault characteristics of distributed network have also changed. Affected by the current limiting of power electronics and converter control strategies, the amplitude of fault current is weakened and the characteristics of fault become complex, rendering traditional protection schemes potentially. Hence, this paper proposes a line protection scheme of distribution network based on additional harmonic current. Based on the flexible and controllable characteristics of the IIDGs, the proposed method actively injects a harmonic current signal into the protection system after a fault by changing the amplitude limiting control of IIDG. Meanwhile, considering the influence of this harmonic signal on the control of IIDG, a corresponding filter is designed. Further, a new protection criterion is constructed based on the amplitude of this harmonic current signal and its phase relationship with the protection positive sequence measurement voltage. A 10 kV active distribution network case study is simulated in PSCAD/EMTDC, and the results verify that the proposed protection scheme can operate correctly and rapidly under both symmetrical and asymmetrical faults. ©2025 *** ***. 1409.

Humic acid(HA),a principal constituent of natural organic matter(NOM),manifests ubiquitously across diverse ecosystems and can significantly influence the environmental behaviors of Cd(II)in aquatic *** studies on NOM-Cd(II)interactions have primarily focused on the immobilization of Cd(II)solids,but little is known about the colloidal stability of organically complexed Cd(II)particles in the *** this study,we investigated the formation of HA-Cd(II)colloids and quantified their aggregation,stability,and transport behaviors in a saturated porous media representative of typical subsurface *** from batch experiments indicated that the relative quantity of HA-Cd(II)colloids increased with increasing C/Cd molar ratio and that the carboxyl functional groups of HA dominated the stability of HA-Cd(II)*** results of correlation analysis between particle size,critical aggregation concentration(CCC),and zeta potential indicated that both Derjaguin-Landau-Verwey-Overbeek(DLVO)and non-DLVO interactions contributed to the enhanced colloidal stability of HA-Cd(II)*** results further confirmed that the stable HA-Cd(II)colloid can transport fast in a saturated media composed of clean ***,this study provides newknowledge of the colloidal behaviors of NOM-Cd(II)nanoparticles,which is important for better understanding the ultimate cycling of Cd(II)in aquatic systems.

Enhancing Security in Distributed Drone-Based Litchi Fruit Recognition and Localization Systems

This paper introduces an advanced and efficient method for distributed drone-based fruit recognition and localization, tailored to satisfy the precision and security requirements of autonomous agricultural operations. Our method incorporates depth information to ensure precise localization and utilizes a streamlined detection network centered on the RepVGG module. This module replaces the traditional C2f module, enhancing detection performance while maintaining speed. To bolster the detection of small, distant fruits in complex settings, we integrate Selective Kernel Attention (SKAttention) and a specialized small-target detection layer. This adaptation allows the system to manage difficult conditions, such as variable lighting and obstructive foliage. To reinforce security, the tasks of recognition and localization are distributed among multiple drones, enhancing resilience against tampering and data manipulation. This distribution also optimizes resource allocation through collaborative processing. The model remains lightweight and is optimized for rapid and accurate detection, which is essential for real-time applications. Our proposed system, validated with a D435 depth camera, achieves a mean Average Precision (mAP) of 0.943 and a frame rate of 169 FPS, which represents a significant improvement over the baseline by 0.039 percentage points and 25 FPS, respectively. Additionally, the average localization error is reduced to 0.82 cm, highlighting the model’s high precision. These enhancements render our system highly effective for secure, autonomous fruit-picking operations, effectively addressing significant performance and cybersecurity challenges in agriculture. This approach establishes a foundation for reliable, efficient, and secure distributed fruit-picking applications, facilitating the advancement of autonomous systems in contemporary agricultural practices.
