To the Editor:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is an aggressive malignancy with poor long-term prognosis[1].Liver cancer stem cell(CSC)can drive the metastasis,drug resistance,and recurrence of HCC[2].The regulatory mechanisms about liver cancer stemness have been investigated,which encouraged the identification and characterization of novel prognostic and therapeutic strategies for HCC[3].

Exploring the expected quantizing scheme with suitable mixed-precision policy is the key to compress deep neural networks(DNNs)in high efficiency and accuracy.This exploration implies heavy workloads for domain experts,and an automatic compression method is needed.However,the huge search space of the automatic method introduces plenty of computing budgets that make the automatic process challenging to be applied in real scenarios.In this paper,we propose an end-to-end framework named AutoQNN,for automatically quantizing different layers utilizing different schemes and bitwidths without any human labor.AutoQNN can seek desirable quantizing schemes and mixed-precision policies for mainstream DNN models efficiently by involving three techniques:quantizing scheme search(QSS),quantizing precision learning(QPL),and quantized architecture generation(QAG).QSS introduces five quantizing schemes and defines three new schemes as a candidate set for scheme search,and then uses the Differentiable Neural Architecture Search(DNAS)algorithm to seek the layer-or model-desired scheme from the set.QPL is the first method to learn mixed-precision policies by reparameterizing the bitwidths of quantizing schemes,to the best of our knowledge.QPL optimizes both classification loss and precision loss of DNNs efficiently and obtains the relatively optimal mixed-precision model within limited model size and memory footprint.QAG is designed to convert arbitrary architectures into corresponding quantized ones without manual intervention,to facilitate end-to-end neural network quantization.We have implemented AutoQNN and integrated it into Keras.Extensive experiments demonstrate that AutoQNN can consistently outperform state-of-the-art quantization.For 2-bit weight and activation of AlexNet and ResNet18,AutoQNN can achieve the accuracy results of 59.75%and 68.86%,respectively,and obtain accuracy improvements by up to 1.65%and 1.74%,respectively,compared with state-of-the-art methods.Especially,compared with the full-precision AlexNet and ResN

Dear Editor,Equine piroplasmosis(EP)is an infectious,tick-borne dis-ease caused by the hemoprotozoan parasites Theileria equi(T.equi)and Babesia caballi(B.caballi).EP affects all wild and domestic equids,and clinical presentation is related to intravascular hemolysis and associated systemic illness(Scoles and Ueti,2015).This disease has considerable ve-terinary and economic impact on the equine industry worldwide,and is listed as a reportable disease by the World Organization for Animal Health(OIE).Importantly,a ne-gative EP test is mandatory for animals participating in equestrian sports and the horse trade.It is estimated that 90%of the global horse population resides in EP-endemic areas.Many risk factors are associated with the infection rate,in-cluding animal species,age,gender,breed,activities,and environmental factors(Onyiche et al.,2019).

The safe and efficient storage and release of hydrogen is one of the key technological challenges for the fuel cell-based hydrogen economy. Hydrazine monohydrate has attracted considerable attention as a safe and convent chemical hydrogen-storage material. Herein, we report the facile synthesis of NiPt-CeOx nanocomposites supported by three-dimensional nitrogen-doped graphene hydrogels （NGHs） via a simple one-step co-reduction synthesis method. These catalysts were composition-dependent for hydrogen generation from an alkaline solution of hydrazine. （NisPt5）I-（CeOx）0.B/NGH exhibited the highest catalytic activity, with 100% hydrogen selectivity and turnover frequencies of 408 h^-1 at 298 K and 3,064 h^-1 at 323 K. These superior catalytic performances are attributed to the electronic structure of the NiPt centers, which was modified by the electron interaction between NiPt and CeOx and the strong metal-support interaction between NiPt-CeOx and the NGH.

Real-life data introduce noise,uncertainty,and imprecision to statistical projects;it is advantageous to consider strategies to overcome these information expressions and processing problems.Neutrosophic(indeterminate)numbers can flexibly and conveniently represent the hybrid information of the partial determinacy and partial indeterminacy in an indeterminate setting,while a fuzzy multiset is a vital mathematical tool in the expression and processing of multi-valued fuzzy information with different and/or same fuzzy values.If neutrosophic numbers are introduced into fuzzy sequences in a fuzzy multiset,the introduced neutrosophic number sequences can be constructed as the neutrosophic number multiset or indeterminate fuzzy multiset.Motivated based on the idea,this study first proposes an indeterminate fuzzy multiset,where each element in a universe set can be repeated more than once with the different and/or identical indeterminate membership values.Then,we propose the parameterized correlation coefficients of indeterminate fuzzy multisets based on the de-neutrosophication of transforming indeterminate fuzzy multisets into the parameterized fuzzy multisets by a parameter(the parameterized de-neutrosophication method).Since indeterminate decision-making issues need to be handled by an indeterminate decision-making method,a group decision-making method using the weighted parameterized correlation coefficients of indeterminate fuzzy multisets is developed along with decision makers’different decision risks(small,moderate,and large risks)so as to handle multicriteria group decision-making problems in indeterminate fuzzy multiset setting.Finally,the developed group decision-making approach is used in an example on a selection problem of slope design schemes for an open-pit mine to demonstrate its usability and flexibility in the indeterminate group decision-making problem with indeterminate fuzzy multisets.

Morphological study of floral nectaries in Euonymus and the probable origin of the echinate fruit surface

A conspicuous nectary disk is common but has a distinguishing morphology in the cosmopolitan genus Euonymus. Our study focuses on the morphology of floral nectaries in 21 representatives of Euonymus and Glyptopetalum. Two main types of nectaries were documented: a mix of inter-and extrastaminal nectaries existed between the corolla and the stigma, while the intrastaminal nectaries were distributed between the stigma and the stamen bases. The main route of nectar release in Euonymus is via modified stomata, and different nectarostomata locations were observed: in depressions, slightly raised above the epidermal surface or at the same level as the epidermis. Floral nectaries in E. sect. Echinococcus species developed into the protrusions on the fruit surface at the later stage. The development of nectaries not only explained the mystery of the origin of the echinate fruit surface, but also showed that differences in fruit surface might be inappropriate for use in infrageneric classification. These discoveries inform morphological observations of floral nectaries in Euonymus.

Polar auxin transport,which depends on polarized subcellular distribution of AUXIN RESISTANT 1/LIKE AUX1（AUX1/LAX） influx carriers and PIN-FORMED（PIN） efflux carriers,mediates various processes of plant growth and development.Endosomal recycling of PIN1 is mediated by an adenosine diphosphate（ADP）ribosylation factor（ARF）-GTPase exchange factor protein,GNOM.However,the mediation of auxin influx carrier recycling is poorly understood.Here,we report that overexpression of OsAGAP,an ARF-GTPase-activating protein in rice,stimulates vesicle transport from the plasma membrane to the Golgi apparatus in protoplasts and transgenic plants and induces the accumulation of early endosomes and AUX1.AUX1 endosomes could partially colocalize with FM4-64 labeled early endosome after actin disruption.Furthermore,OsAGAP is involved in actin cytoskeletal organization,and its overexpression tends to reduce the thickness and bundling of actin filaments.Fluorescence recovery after photobleaching analysis revealed exocytosis of the AUX1 recycling endosome was not affected in the OsAGAP overexpression cells,and was only slightly promoted when the actin filaments were completely disrupted by Lat B.Thus,we propose that AUX1 accumulation in the OsAGAP overexpression and actin disrupted cells may be due to the fact that endocytosis of the auxin influx carrier AUX1 early endosome was greatly promoted by actin cytoskeleton disruption.
