· AIM: To explore the immunomodulatory effects of curdlan on innate immune responses against Aspergillus fumigatus(A. fumigatus) in cultured human corneal epithelial cells(HCECs), and whether C-type lectin receptor Dectin-1 mediates the immunomodulatory effects of curdlan.·METHODS: The HCECs were stimulated by curdlan in different concentrations(50, 100, 200, 400 μg/m L) for various time. Then HCECs pretreated with or without laminarin(Dectin-1 blocker, 0.3 mg/m L) and curdlan were stimulated by A. fumigatus hyphae. The m RNA and protein production of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-6(IL-6) were determined by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, respectively. The protein level of Dectin-1 was measured by Western blot.· RESULTS: Curdlan stimulated m RNA expression of TNF-α and IL-6 in a dose and time dependent manner in HCECs. Curdlan pretreatment before A. fumigatus hyphae stimulation significantly enhanced the expression of TNF-α and IL-6 at m RNA and protein levels compared with A. fumigatus hyphae stimulation group(P <0.05).Both curdlan and A. fumigatus hyphae up-regulated Dectin-1 protein expression in HCECs, and Dectin-1expression was elevated to 1.5- to 2-fold by curdlan pretreatment followed hyphae stimulation. The Dectin-1blocker laminarin suppressed the m RNA expression and protein production of TNF-α and IL-6 induced by curdlan and hyphae(P <0.05).· CONCLUSION: These findings demonstrated that curdlan pretreatment enhanced the inflammatory response induced by A. fumigatus hyphae in ***-1 is essential for the immunomodulatory effectsof curdlan. Curdlan may have high clinical application values in fungal keratitis treatment.

AIM: To review published clinical studies examining the effect of natamycin in the treatment of fungal ***: We selected the publications in CENTRAL,MEDLINE, EMBASE, CNKI, and CBM. This study systematically reviewed published randomized controlled trials(RCTs) that compared natamycin to other antifungal agents, and conducted feasible Meta-analysis of efficacy results using Revman 5.2 ***: We included seven trials which were mainly carried out in developing countries of Asia, with five trials conducted in India, one each in China and Bangladesh. A total of 804 participants were randomized to following comparisons: 2% econazole versus 5%natamycin showed little difference in the effects of treatment of fungal keratitis [RR =0.99, 95% confidence interval(CI), 0.8 to 1.21]; chlorhexidine gluconate versus5% natamycin indicated that the results on healing of the ulcer at 21 d was less conclusive(RR=0.77, 95% CI, 0.55 to 1.08; I2=0%); 1% voriconazole versus 5% natamycin suggested that natamycin treatment appeared to be significantly better outcomes than voriconazole(regression coefficient =-0.18 log MAR; 95% CI,-0.30 to-0.05; P =0.006), especially in Fusarium cases(regression coefficient=-0.41 log MAR; 95% CI,-0.61 to-0.20; P <0.001);natamycin versus fluconazole showed a significant difference in cure rate(χ2=5.048, P <0.05) and natamycin group was more effective than fluconazole in average period of therapy(t =7.94, P <0.01).CONCLUSION: Natamycin was a preferable choice in the treatment of fungal keratitis, especially in the early period of Fusarium cases.

Impact of Holocene climate change on the prehistoric cultures of Zhejiang region, East China

The temporal-spatial distribution features of prehistoric cultures since the Holocene in Zhejiang region were comparatively analyzed based on GIS spatial analysis. Results show that the prehistoric cultures expanded gradually in this region before 4000 cal. a BP. The notable expansions occurred twice, one in the Majiabang-Hemudu cultural period, the other in the Liangzhu cultural period. Meanwhile, the prehistoric cultures were disseminated from west to east coast along river valleys. After 4000 cal. a BP, as represented by the Maqiao Culture, the distributed area of each prehistoric culture contracted. This is obviously due to the termination of spreading trends to east coast, which was simultaneously accompanied by two different modes of production and economic transitions in the north and south Zhejiang region respectively. The distribution of prehistoric cultures was closely related with Holocene sea-level fluctuations, especially on the banks of Hangzhou Bay, where the distribution changes of prehistoric cultural sites were greatly affected by sea-level changes, with the closest relationships between them. After 7000 cal. a BP, the process of lowered sea-level and regression-epeirogenesis provided wider terrestrial living spaces for prehistoric inhabi- tants. Based on the comparative analyses of the changes of prehistoric cultures and the en- vironmental evolution information recorded in the Qianmutian subalpine peat of Mt. Tianmu and muddy area on the inner shelf of the East China Sea, it is indicated that the changes of prehistoric cultures were synchronized with environmental changes in Zhejiang region. Before 4000 cal. a BP, the eastward expansion of prehistoric cultures in Zhejiang occurred under the background of the Holocene Optimum, and was the expansion and extension under the joint influences of agricultural civilization and maritime civilization. Along the north bank of the Xuxi River, the sand-intercalated-muddy gravel layer from -3.7 - -5.8 m in the borehole 7508 at the East Dam and the middle, coarse and fine sand layer with a thickness of 4.5 m at the lower part of the borehole 8179 between the East Dam and the West Dam indicate that a large natural river was here before the Kingdom of Wu excavated the Xuxi Canal. The existence of Neolithic sites such as Xuecheng, Chaoduntou and Xiajiadang along the Xuxi River and the silt layer with dozens of meters archived under the earth＇s surface within a range of 1 km along both banks are the even more important evidences for the existence of the ancient Zhongjiang River. The floodgate of the East Dam nowadays makes against the communication between the Shuiyangjiang River and the Taihu Lake. The authors suggest the canal between Wuhu and Taihu Lake should be excavated as soon as possible, namely, the navigation channel from Wuhu through Guchenghu Lake, Xuxi River, East Dam, Liyang, Yixing to Taihu Lake should be further widen and the deposits composed of slope wash on the watershed between Shuiyangjiang River and Taihu Lake should be dredged away. Then, the channel journey can be shortened, the boats in ship transportation on the Yangtze River can be shunted to ensure the security of shipping, the resources of sand and gravel in the old river channel can be exploited and the dike of the Yangtze River can be reinforced. So, the problems of irrigation, flood diversion, pollution abatement and drainage of flooded fields in the lower Yangtze River will be resolved. Then, the above methods can impel the sustainable development of the Xuxi River and Taihu Lake area.

A sensitive and accurate method based on ion chromatography was established for determination of five lithium salts in lithium-ion batteries electrolytes. Chromatographic analyses were carried out on an anion exchange column at flow rate of 1 m L/min. Under the optimal conditions, five target anions（BF4^-,PF6^-, TFSI^-, BOB^-and FSI^-） exhibited satisfactory linearity with a correlation coefficient of 0.9996. The relative standard derivations of the target anions were less than less than 0.94%（n = 7）. The limits of detections were in the range of 0.068–0.29 mg/L with average spiked recoveries ranging from 96.8% to 105.1%.

目前修正的Jensen尾流模型均没有同时修正尾流初始半径和尾流初始风速,无法准确预测海上风电场的实际尾流风速。基于二次修正Jensen尾流模型基础上,提出三次修正Jensen尾流模型,并通过海上风电场风洞实验数据验证该修正尾流模型的正确性。其次,考虑全尾流及部分尾流面积,将该三次修正Jensen尾流模型应用到海上风电场的布局优化中,以风力机的坐标及数量为优化变量,以度电成本为优化目标函数,并利用樽海鞘算法对海上风电场的风力机布局进行优化设计。优化结果表明:对比采用改进Jensen模型指导风电场布局,采用三次修正Jensen模型时,风电场的布局更加均匀;对比考虑全尾流的布局,当考虑部分尾流布局时,度电成本降低了2.16%。
