Bio-inspired adhesive porous particles with human MSCs encapsulation for systemic lupus erythematosus treatment

Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)therapy is a promising treatment for Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)***,this method is encumbered by suboptimal phenotype of MSCs used in clinical settings,and a short in vivo persistence ***,inspired by the natural microstructure of the sand tower worm nest,we proposed novel adhesive porous particles with human MSCs encapsulation via microfluidic electrospray technology for SLE *** porous microparticles were formed by immediate gelation reaction between sodium alginate(ALG)and poly-D-lysine(PDL),and then sacrificed polyethylene oxide(PEO)to form the *** resultant microparticles could protect MSCs from immune cells while maintain their immune modulating functions,and achieve rapid exchange of nutrients from the *** addition,owing to the electrostatic adsorption and covalent bonding between PDL and tissues,the porous microparticles could adhere to the bowel surfaces tightly after intraperitoneal *** in vivo imaging system(IVIS)methods and in vivo study,it was demonstrated that the MSCs-encapsulated porous adhesive microparticles could significantly increase the cellular half-life,turn activated inflammatory macrophages into an anti-inflammatory profile,and ameliorate disease progression in MRL/lpr ***,the MSCs-encapsulated porous microparticles showed distinctive functions in chronic SLE treatment,with additional potential to be used in a variety of biomedical applications.

In this study,a decentralized PID controller is proposed to solve the tracking problem for a class of multi-agents systems,where each agent is described by a second order nonlinear uncertain dynamical system,which only has access to its own tracking error information and does not need to communicate with *** will show that a 3-dimensional manifold can be constructed based on the information about all the Lipschitz constants of the multi-agent systems,such that whenever the three parameters of each PID controller are chosen from this manifold,the whole system can be stabilized globally and the tracking error of each agent approaches to zero asymptotically.A simulation example is given to illustrate the theoretical results.

High-entropy alloys are suitable for use as a binder for cemented carbides duo to outstanding mechanical, oxidation and wear behavior. Therefore, high-entropy alloy was selected to replace Co and Ni metal bond in this study. The results of X-ray diffraction analysis show that CoCrNiCuMn high-entropy alloy is stabilized in the cemented carbide system. Scanning electron microscope（SEM） fractural morphologies of the cemented carbides added with CoCrNiCuMn show that CoCrNiCuMn distributes in grain boundaries, and the grains are bound tightly together. Furthermore, SEM fractural morphologies of the cemented carbides with 5 wt%, 7 wt%, and 10 wt% CoCrNiCuMn show that CoCrNiCuMn slows the growth of grains, which effectively binders the grains, prevents the generation and propagation of cracks, and finally, greatly improves the toughness of the cemented *** to the results observed in the cemented carbides containing different amounts of CoCrNiCuMn, the hardness level gradually increases with the amount of CoCrNiCuMn; however, a reverse trend is seen in the toughness level. The cemented carbide with 10 wt% CoCrNiCuMn shows the highest toughness value of 7.05 MPa·m^1/2.

By using 1-methyl-2-formyl-5-substituted pyrroles (1-Y), 1-methyl-2-formyl-5-substituted pyrrole phenylhydrazones (2-Y) and 1-methyl-2-formyl-5-substituted pyrrole (4-nitrophenyl)-hydrazones (3-Y) as model structures for nitrogen-containing heterocyclic aromatic compounds, correlation analysis of their redox potential data show that the transition states (TS) of the polarographic process are mainly affected by the polar effects, but spin-delocalizatin effects also exist.

Carbon ions,commonly referred to as particle therapy,have become increasingly popular in the last *** predicting the range of ions in tissues is important for the precise delivery of doses in heavy-ion *** uncertainty is currently the largest contributor to dose uncertainty in normal tissues,leading to the use of safety margins in treatment *** potential method is the direct relative stopping measurement(RSP)with ***-ion CT(Hi′CT),a compact segmented full digital tomography detector using monolithic active pixel sensors,was designed and evaluated using a 430 MeV/u high-energy carbon ion pencil beam in *** precise position of the individual carbon ion track can be recorded and reconstructed using a 30μm×30μm small pixel pitch *** types of customized image reconstruction algorithms were developed,and their performances were evaluated using three different modules of CAT-PHAN 600-series *** RSP measurement accuracy of the tracking algorithm for different types of materials in the CTP404 module was less than 1%.In terms of spatial resolution,the tracking algorithm could achieve a 20%modulation transfer function normalization value of CTP528 imaging results at 5 lp/cm,which is significantly better than that of the fast imaging algorithm(3 lp/cm).The density resolution obtained using the tracking algorithm of the customized CTP515 was approximately 10.5%.In conclusion,a compact digital Hi'CT system was designed,and its nominal performance was evaluated in a *** RSP resolution and image quality provide potential feasibility for scanning most parts of an adult body or pediatric patient,particularly for head and neck tumor treatment.

In this paper,we propose Hformer,a novel supervised learning model for low-dose computer tomography(LDCT)*** combines the strengths of convolutional neural networks for local feature extraction and transformer models for global feature *** performance of Hformer was verified and evaluated based on the AAPM-Mayo Clinic LDCT Grand Challenge *** with the former representative state-of-the-art(SOTA)model designs under different architectures,Hformer achieved optimal metrics without requiring a large number of learning parameters,with metrics of33.4405 PSNR,8.6956 RMSE,and 0.9163 *** experiments demonstrated designed Hformer is a SOTA model for noise suppression,structure preservation,and lesion detection.

BACKGROUND: Many diseases can cause obstructive jaundice and then lead to a series of pathologic disorders. Thus preoperative assessment of liver function is of utmost importance. Traditional assessment is to monitor related indicators of liver function, but it is invasive and needs to be performed repeatedly. Color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI) was used to monitor blood flow of the hepatic artery and portal vein, a non-invasive method which can be used repeatedly. METHODS: Twenty cases of obstructive jaundice were detected by CDFI and changes of liver function were measured after operation. The variables of hemodynamic monitoring included peak flow rate and mean blood flow in the hepatic artery proper at the peak of the contraction period; the inner diameter of blood vessels, the peak flow rate, and the congestion index, the blood flow in the main portal vein. RESULTS: The average peak flow rate in the hepatic artery of patients with obstructive jaundice was significantly higher than that of normal people; both the inner diameter and congestive index of the portal vein were significantly larger than those of normal people. But the mean blood flow and peak flow rate in the portal vein were lower than those of normal people. CONCLUSIONS: CDFI is an ideal and non-invasive method for evaluating liver hemodynamics in obstructive jaundice. If the increase of hepatic arterial flow is more significant than the decrease of the blood flow in the portal vein, hepatic functional recovery after operation is smoother, suggesting a better prognosis. If the increase of the hepatic arterial flow is less significant than the decrease of the blood flow in the portal vein, hepatic functional recovery after operation may not be smooth, suggesting a worse prognosis.
