Prediction and Output Estimation of Pattern Moving in Non-Newtonian Mechanical Systems Based on Probability Density Evolution

A prediction framework based on the evolution of pattern motion probability density is proposed for the output prediction and estimation problem of non-Newtonian mechanical systems,assuming that the system satisfies the generalized Lipschitz condition.As a complex nonlinear system primarily governed by statistical laws rather than Newtonian mechanics,the output of non-Newtonian mechanics systems is difficult to describe through deterministic variables such as state variables,which poses difficulties in predicting and estimating the system’s output.In this article,the temporal variation of the system is described by constructing pattern category variables,which are non-deterministic variables.Since pattern category variables have statistical attributes but not operational attributes,operational attributes are assigned to them by posterior probability density,and a method for analyzing their motion laws using probability density evolution is proposed.Furthermore,a data-driven form of pattern motion probabilistic density evolution prediction method is designed by combining pseudo partial derivative(PPD),achieving prediction of the probability density satisfying the system’s output uncertainty.Based on this,the final prediction estimation of the system’s output value is realized by minimum variance unbiased estimation.Finally,a corresponding PPD estimation algorithm is designed using an extended state observer(ESO)to estimate the parameters to be estimated in the proposed prediction method.The effectiveness of the parameter estimation algorithm and prediction method is demonstrated through theoretical analysis,and the accuracy of the algorithm is verified by two numerical simulation examples.

Online preparation of high-quality BN coatings with atomic diffusion based on carbon-free water-soluble precursor

Efficient and environmentally friendly production of high-quality continuous fiber coatings using current preparation methods is highly challenging due to issues such as scale and batch processing restrictions,low deposition rate,high energy consumption,and utilization of multiple environmentally hazardous steps.To address these challenges,we propose a stable and efficient wet chemical deposition coating method for high-throughput online continuous preparation of boron nitride(BN)coatings on ceramic fibers under an ambient environment.Our process involves surface modification,in-situ wet chemical deposition,and heat treatment,and all seamlessly connecting with the ceramic fiber preparation process through continuous stretching.Hydrophilic groups were introduced via surface modification enhancing wettability of the fiber surface with impregnating solution.An in-situ reaction and atom migration improve uniformity and binding of the coating.As a result,outstanding impregnation and adhesion properties are achieved.A comprehensive analysis to evaluate the impact of the BN coatings was conducted,which demonstrates that the BN-coated fibers exhibit a remarkable 36%increase in tensile strength,a 133%increase in fracture toughness,and enhanced temperature resistance of up to 1600℃.It provides a secure and efficient platform for cost-effective production of functional and high-quality coatings through targeted surface modification and rapid stretching impregnation.

Optimizing 2D-metal contact in layered Tin-selenide via native oxide modulation

The discovery of two-dimensional(2D)semiconductor has opened up new avenues for the development of short-channel field-effect transistors(FETs)with desired electrical performance.Among them,orthorhombic tin-selenide(SnSe)has garnered increasing attention due to its potential applications in a variety of electronic,optoelectronic,and thermoelectric devices.However,the realization of high-performance SnSe FETs with low contact resistance(Rc)remains a challenge.Herein,we systematically investigate the contact of few-layer SnSe FETs through the modulation of native oxide on SnSe by using different metals.It is found that chromium(Cr)-contacted devices possess the best FET performance,such as electron mobility up to 606 cm^(2)/(V·s)at 78 K,current on/off ratio exceeding 1010,and saturation current of~550μA/μm,where a negligible Schottky barrier(SB)of~30 meV and a low contact resistance of~425Ωμm are achieved.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and cross-sectional electron dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX)results further reveal that the improved contact arises from the Cr-induced reduction of native oxide(SnOx)to Sn,which thins the tunneling barrier for efficient electron injection.Our findings provide a deep insight into the 2D-metal contact of SnSe and pave the way for its applications in future nanoelectronics.

FeNi Prussian blue analogues on highly graphitized carbon nanosheets as efficient glucose sensors

Meeting the continuous glucose monitoring requirements of individuals necessitates the research and development of sensors with high sensitivity and stability.In this study,a straightforward strategy was proposed for synthesizing ultra-thin oxygen-rich graphitized carbon nanosheets（denoted as GCS-O）.These nanosheets are obtained by calcining a topologically two-dimensional indium-based coordination polymer.Subsequently,the growth of FeNi Prussian blue analogue（PBA） on GCS-O effectively introduces active sites and increases the nitrogen content within the carbonaceous matrix.The resulting FeNi-PBA/GCS-O composite exhibits excellent glucose sensing performance with a broad linear range of 1 to 1300μmol·L-1.Meanwhile,it also achieves a high sensitivity of 2496 μA·mmol-1·L·cm-2,a limit of detection of 100nmol·L-1（S/N=3）,and commendable long-term durability.The relatively simple synthesis process,exceptional sensitivity,and satisfactory electrochemical sensing performance of FeNi-PBA/GCS-O open up new directions for biosensor applications.

Lignocellulosic fraction-induced niche differentiation within dissimilatory iron reducing bacterial groups in a paddy soil

Responses of soil DIRB to lignocellulosic fractions during a 6-week microcosm incubation were investigated.Anaeromyxobacter,Bacillus,and Clostridium maintained their domi-nance throughout the incubation.Distinct DIRB groups proliferated under specific lignocellulosic fraction amendments.Limits of insufficient ferric iron on the proliferation varied by DIRB group.Dissimilatory iron reducing bacteria(DIRB)are phylogenetically and physi-ologically diverse in paddy soils,where iron reduction closely couples with the oxidation of rice straw-derived carbon in the straw returning scenarios.However,few studies have addressed the niche differentiation within DIRB groups during the degradation of lignocellulosic fractions of rice straw.This study conducted a 6-week microcosm incubation experiment to reveal the distinct responses of DIRB groups under specific lignocellulosic fraction amendments with and without ferrihydrite(Fh)addition in a flooded paddy Ultisol.Results showed that the total absolute abundance of the 19 detected DIRB groups did not vary significantly during the incubation.Anaeromyxobacter,Bacillus,and Clostridium were the dominant DIRB groups for all lignocellulosic treatments whereas Thermincola was dominant but only under xylan amendment with Fh addition.DIRB-nodes in the co-occurrence networks of bacterial community mainly belonged to Anaeromyxobacter and Bacillus.Clostridium and Thermincola,Alkaliphilus and Anaeromyxobacter,and Alicyclobacillus,Desulfobulbus,and Desulfosporosinus were specifically proliferated under xylan,cellulose,and lignin amendments,respectively.Whether the proliferation was limited by insufficient ferric iron varied by bacterial group.These findings suggested the lignocellulosic fraction-induced niche differentiation within DIRB groups,which advanced our understanding of the ecology of DIRB in paddy soils under straw returning.

Stacking single layers of atoms on top of each other provides a fundamental way to achieve novel material systems and engineer their physical properties,which offers opportunities for exploring fundamental physics and realizing next-generation optoelectronic devices.Among the two-dimensional(2D)-stacked systems,transition metal dichalcogenide(TMDC)heterostructures are particularly attractive because they host tightly-bonded interlayer excitons which possess various novel and appealing properties.These interlayer excitons have drawn significant research attention and hold high potential for the application in unique optoelectronic devices,such as polarization-and wavelength-tunable single photon emitters,valley Hall transistors,and possible high-temperature superconductors.The development of these devices requires a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental properties of these interlayer excitons and the impact of electric fields on their behaviors.In this review,we summarize the recent advances on the understanding of interlayer exciton dynamics under electric fields in TMDC heterostructures.We put emphasis on the electrical modulation of interlayer excitons’emission,the valley Hall transport of charge carriers after the separation of interlayer excitons by an electric field,and the correlation physics of interlayer excitons and charges under electrical doping and tuning.Challenges and perspectives are finally discussed for the application of TMDC heterostructures in future optoelectronics.

Comparison of cytokine levels in prostatic secretion between the Ⅲa and Ⅲb subtypes of prostatitis

Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CP/CPPS),also known as National Institutes of Health(NIH)type Ⅲ prostatitis,is a common disorder with an unclear etiology and no known curative treatments.Based on the presence or absence of leukocytes in expressed prostatic secretion(EPS),CP/CPPS is classifiedfurther into Illa(inflammatory)and Illb(noninflammatory)subtypes.However,the severity of symptoms is not entirely consistent with the white blood cell(WBC)count.Following the preliminary finding of a link between inflammatory cytokines and CP/CPPS,we performed this clinical study with the aim of identifying cytokines that are differentially expressed according to whether the prostatitis subtype is Ⅲa or Ⅲb.We found that granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF),interleukin-18(IL-18),and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)levels were significantly elevated and interferon-inducible protein-10(IP-10)and platelet-derived growth factor-BB(PDGF-BB)levels were downregulated in the EPS of patients with type Ⅲa prostatitis.In a word,it is a meaningful study in which we investigate the levels of various cytokines in EPS according to whether prostatitis is the Ⅲa or Ⅲb subtype.The combination of G-CSF,IL-18,MCP-1,IP-10,and PDGF-BB expression levels could form a basis for classification,diagnosis,and therapeutic targets in clinical P/CPPS.

Pattern-Moving-Based Parameter Identification of Output Error Models with Multi-Threshold Quantized Observations

This paper addresses a modified auxiliary model stochastic gradient recursive parameter identification algorithm(M-AM-SGRPIA)for a class of single input single output(SISO)linear output error models with multi-threshold quantized observations.It proves the convergence of the designed algorithm.A pattern-moving-based system dynamics description method with hybrid metrics is proposed for a kind of practical single input multiple output(SIMO)or SISO nonlinear systems,and a SISO linear output error model with multi-threshold quantized observations is adopted to approximate the unknown system.The system input design is accomplished using the measurement technology of random repeatability test,and the probabilistic characteristic of the explicit metric value is employed to estimate the implicit metric value of the pattern class variable.A modified auxiliary model stochastic gradient recursive algorithm(M-AM-SGRA)is designed to identify the model parameters,and the contraction mapping principle proves its convergence.Two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the achieved identification algorithm.

Engineering d-band center of nickel in nickel@nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes array for electrochemical reduction of CO_(2)to CO and Zn-CO_(2)batteries

Self-supported transition-metal single-atom catalysts(SACs)facilitate the industrialization of electrochemical CO_(2) reduction,but suffer from high structural heterogeneity with limited catalytic selectivity.Here we present a facile and scalable approach for the synthesis of self-supported nickel@nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes grown on carbon nanofiber membrane(Ni@NCNTs/CFM),where the Ni single atoms and nanoparticles(NPs)are anchored on the wall and inside of nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes,respectively.The side effect of Ni NPs was further effectively inhibited by alloying Ni with Cu atoms to alter their d-band center,which is theoretically predicted and experimentally proved.The optimal catalyst Ni_(9)Cu_(1)@NCNTs/CFM exhibits an ultrahigh CO Faradic efficiency over 97%at-0.7 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode.Additionally,this catalyst shows excellent mechanical strength which can be directly used as a self-supporting catalyst for Zn-CO_(2) battery with a peak power density of~0.65 mW/cm^(2)at2.25 mA/cm^(2) and a long-term stability for 150 cycles.This work opens up a general avenue to facilely prepare self-supported SACs with unitary single-atom site for CO_(2) utilization.
