circT P63-N suppresses the proliferation and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma via engaging with HSP90AB1 to modulate the YAP1/Hippo signaling pathway

Circular RNAs(circRNAs) play pivotal roles in the development and progression of various diseases, including malignant tumors. However,the biological functions and the underlying mechanisms of many circRNAs remain elusive. In this study, we identified a novel circRNA,circTP63-N, generated through the splicing of exons 2–4 of the TP63 gene in nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC). circTP63-N was found to be downregulated in clinical samples of NPC. Both in vitro and in vivo experiments unequivocally demonstrated that circTP63-N inhibits the proliferation and metastasis of NPC cells. Further investigations revealed that circTP63-N interacted with the HSP90AB1 protein, leading to the recruitment of LATS/YAP1 proteins. This, in turn, induced phosphorylation and ubiquitination-dependent degradation of YAP1, resulting in reduced nuclear translocation of YAP1 and inhibition of the transcriptional activation of downstream oncogenic genes, including INHBA, MMP3, and CCNE2. Our findings highlight the identification of circTP63-N, a novel circRNA encoded by an important tumor-relevant gene TP63 and elucidate its molecular mechanism as a tumor suppressor in NPC. These insights offer novel potential molecular markers and therapeutic targets for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of NPC.

pH-Sensitive Polymer Matrix with Immobilized Indicator Ion Pairs

A new sensor material for monitoring pH in aqueous solutions is described. It is based on lipophilic ion pairs consisting of an anionic pH indicator Bromocresol Green and a quaternary ammonium cation cetyltri-methylammonium. The ion pairs are homogeneously distributed inside the plasticized PVC membrane. The change of pH in an aqueous solution causes the change of optical property of the indicator immobilized on the plasticized PVC membrane. The plasticized PVC membrane is sensitive in a pH range from 4.0 to 6.0.

背景:与传统的缝合方式相比,采用补片修复腹壁缺陷的无张力疝修补手术能有效减少术后疼痛和疝气复发率,已经成为近年来治疗腹疝的首选方法。目的:归纳总结不同疝修复补片在应用过程中的优缺点。方法:以“腹壁缺损,疝气补片,疝气治疗”为中文检索词,以“abdominal wall defect,hernia patches,hernia treatment”为英文检索词,分别检索中国知网、谷歌学术和PubMed数据库,检索时限主要为2018年1月至2024年2月,同时采用少数经典的早期文献以概述疝修复补片的发展历程,通过阅读题目和摘要进行初步筛选,排除与疝修复材料相关性较低的文献,最终纳入90篇文献进行归纳总结。结果与结论:根据制备材料的不同可以将疝修复补片分为不可吸收人工合成补片、可吸收人工合成补片、天然高分子补片和复合补片。不可吸收补片具有较高的机械强度,有益于疝气区域的组织愈合,但体内长期存在的补片可能会引发身体的免疫反应,导致炎症和疼痛。可吸收人工合成补片与天然高分子补片具有良好的组织相容性、降解性,但机械强度不稳定。复合材料补片继承了传统不可吸收补片优良的机械性能,同时通过可吸收部分的设计降低了一些并发症发生的风险。在疝修复补片的后续研究中,科研人员应重点关注如何将新技术与复合补片结合起来,形成多功能的疝修复补片。

Optical monitoring of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 4151 and possible periodicities in its historical light curve

We report B, V and R band CCD photometry of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 4151 obtained with the 1.0m telescope at Weihai Observatory of Shandong University and the 1.56 m telescope at shanghai Astronomical Observatory from 2005 December to 2013 February. Combining all available data from literature, we have constructed a historical light curve from 1910 to 2013 to study the periodicity of the source using three different methods （the Jurkevich method, the Lomb-Scargle periodogram method and the discrete Correlation Function method）. We find possible periods of P1 = 4 ± 0.1,/92 = 7.5 ±0.3 and P3 = 15.9± 0.3 yr.

The concept of a flexible power electronics substation(FPES)was first applied in the Zhangbei DC distribution network demonstration *** a multi-port power electronics transformer(PET)with different AC and DC voltage levels,the FPES has adopted a novel topology integrating modular multilevel converter(MMC)and four-winding medium frequency transformer(FWMFT)based multiport DC-DC converter,which can significantly reduce capacitance in each sub-module(SM)of a MMC and also save space and *** this paper,in order to accelerate speed of electromagnetic transient(EMT)simulations of FPES based hybrid AC/DC distribution systems,an averaged-value model(AVM)is proposed for efficient and accurate representation of *** that all SM capacitor voltages are perfectly balanced in the MMC,then the MMC behavior can be modeled using controlled voltage sources based on modulation voltages from control *** terms of the averaged current transfer characteristics among the windings of the FWMFT,we consider that all multiport DC-DC converters are controlled with the same dynamics,a lumped averaged model using controlled current and voltage sources has been developed for these four-port DC-DC converters connected to the upper or lower arms of the *** presented FPES AVM model has been tested and validated by comparison with a detailed IGBT-based EMT *** show that the AVM is significantly more efficient while maintaining its accuracy in an EMT simulation.

A deoxidation thermodynamic model for 304 stainless steel considering multiple-components coupled reactions

A thermodynamic model for predicting the equilibrium oxygens of 304 stainless steel was developed based on the theory of slag-steel equilibrium,the law of mass conservation,and the ion and molecule coexistence *** the developed model,the Fe-Cr-Mn-Si-Al-S-O-melts reaction system and CaO-MgO-CaF_(2)-FeO-MnO-Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-Cr2O_(3)slags were *** oxygen contents calculated by the model are in good agreement with experimental results and reference *** equilibrium oxygen contents in 304 stainless steel mainly decrease with increasing binary basicity(w(CaO)/w(SiO_(2)),where w(i)is the mass percentage of component i)and decreasing *** binary basicity at 2.0 while maintaining temperatures lower than 1823 K will keep the oxygen contents in the 304 stainless steel lower than 15×10^(-6).The equilibrium oxygen contents may also be decreased with increasing content of MgO in slags,which is more significant at lower binary ***,a small amount of FeO,MnO,and Al_(2)O_(3)(about 0-2.5 wt.%)in slags has little effect on equilibrium oxygen ***,it is found that the[C]-[O]reaction may occur during refining process but will not significantly affect the equilibrium oxygen contents.

Aeroelastic prediction and analysis for a transonic fan rotor with the“hot”blade shape

This paper focuses on aeroelastic prediction and analysis for a transonic fan rotor with only its“hot”(running)blade shape available,which is often the case in practical engineering such as in the design *** on an in-house and well-validated CFD solver and a hybrid structural finite element modeling/modal approach,three main aspects are considered with special emphasis on dealing with the“hot”blade ***,static aeroelastic analysis is presented for shape transformation between“cold”(manufacturing)and“hot”blades,and influence of the dynamic variation of“hot”shape on evaluated aerodynamic performance is ***,implementation of the energy method for flutter prediction is given and both a regularly used fixed“hot”shape and a variable“hot”shape are *** comparison,influence of the dynamic variation of“hot”shape on evaluated aeroelastic stability is also ***,another common way to predict flutter,time-domain method,is used for the same concerned case,from which the predicted flutter characteristics are compared with those from the energy method.A well-publicized axial-flow transonic fan rotor,Rotor 67,is selected as a typical example,and the corresponding numerical results and discussions are presented in detail.

Hydrogen production from hydrolysis of NaBH_(4) solution over Co-Fe-B@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF thin film catalyst

In this study,the double loaded Co-Fe-B@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF(NF:Ni foam)thin film catalysts were prepared for the first time via chemical deposition method at room *** optimizing the reducing agent concentration to 0.9 mol·L^(-1),the as-obtained Co-Fe-B@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF exhibited the twisted ribbon structure with more distinct three-dimensional hierarchy and the smaller particle size,showing the good catalytic property for the hydrolysis of NaBH_(4)*** H_(2)generation rate of Co-Fe-B@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF and binary Co-B@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF under visible light irradiation surpassed the value under natural *** apparent activation energy of Co-Fe-B@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF(45.0 kJ·mol^(-1))under visible light irradiation was obviously reduced when compared with the natural condition(48.4 kJ·mol^(-1))and binary Co-B@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF(60.6 kJ·mol^(-1))under visible light ***,the catalytic performance of the optimized Co-Fe-B@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF thin film catalyst was superior to most of the reported non-noble metal and even noble metal ***,it illustrated that the catalytic H_(2)production performance of Co-Fe-B@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF thin film was distinctly improved after the introduction of light and multicomponent recombination.

Improved corrosion resistance and thermal stability of sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets with holmium substitution

The effects of Ho substitution for Nd on the microstructure, corrosion resistance and thermal stability of the Nd-Fe-B magnets were investigated. The（Nd,Ho）-O phase was formed with increasing Ho substitution. The results of potentiodynamic polarization and highly accelerated stress test show improved corrosion resistance with increasing Ho substitution. The optimum mass loss 0.29 mg/cm^2 is ***, the average temperature coefficients for remanence and coercivity in the range of 25-150℃are both closer to zero, indicating improved thermal stability. The mechanisms for the improved corrosion resistance and thermal stability are discussed in relation to the microstructure featuring the（Nd,Ho）-O phase.

Repair of peripheral nerve defects with chemically extracted acellular nerve allografts loaded with neurotrophic factors-transfected bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells

Chemically extracted acellular nerve allografts loaded with brain-derived neurotrophic fac- tor-transfected or ciliary neurotrophic factor-transfected bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells have been shown to repair sciatic nerve injury better than chemically extracted acellular nerve allografts alone, or chemically extracted acellular nerve allografts loaded with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. We hypothesized that these allografts compounded with both brain-derived neurotrophic factor- and ciliary neurotrophic factor-transfected bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells may demonstrate even better effects in the repair of peripheral nerve injury. We cultured bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells expressing brain-derived neuro- trophic factor and/or ciliary neurotrophic factor and used them to treat sciatic nerve injury in rats. We observed an increase in sciatic functional index, triceps wet weight recovery rate, myelin thickness, number of myelinated nerve fibers, amplitude of motor-evoked potentials and nerve conduction velocity, and a shortened latency of motor-evoked potentials when al- lografts loaded with both neurotrophic factors were used, compared with allografts loaded with just one factor. Thus, the combination of both brain-derived neurotrophic factor and cili- ary neurotrophic factor-transfected bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells can greatly improve nerve injury.
