Solute carriers(SLCs) constitute the largest superfamily of membrane transporter *** transporters, present in various SLC families, play a vital role in energy metabolism by facilitating the transport of diverse substances, including glucose, fatty acids, amino acids, nucleotides, and *** actively participate in the regulation of glucose metabolism at various steps, such as glucose uptake(e.g., SLC2A4/GLUt4), glucose reabsorption(e.g., SLC5A2/SGLt2), thermogenesis(e.g., SLC25A7/UCP-1), and AtP production(e.g., SLC25A4/ANt1 and SLC25A5/ANt2). the activities of these transporters contribute to the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus(t2DM). Notably, SLC5A2 has emerged as a valid drug target for t2DM due to its role in renal glucose reabsorption, leading to groundbreaking advancements in diabetes drug discovery. Alongside SLC5A2, multiple families of SLC transporters involved in the regulation of glucose homeostasis hold potential applications for t2DM therapy. SLCs also impact drug metabolism of diabetic medicines through gene polymorphisms, such as rosiglitazone(SLCO1B1/OAtP1B1) and metformin(SLC22A1-3/OCt1-3 and SLC47A1, 2/MAtE1, 2). By consolidating insights into the biological activities and clinical relevance of SLC transporters in t2DM, this review offers a comprehensive update on their roles in controlling glucose metabolism as potential drug targets.

Rare-earth nickelates(RENiO_(3))show widely.t.nable metal-to-insulator transition(MIt)properties with ignorable variations in lattice constants and small latent heat across the critical temperature(tMIt).Particularly,it is worth noting that compared with the more commonly investigated vanadium oxides,the MIt of RENiO_(3)is less abrupt but usually across a wider range of *** sheds light on their alternative applications as negative temperature coefficient resistance(NtCR)thermistors with high sensitivity compared with the current NtCR thermistors,other than their expected use as critical temperature resistance *** this work,we demonstrate the NtCR thermistor functionality for using the adjustable MIt of Nd_(x)Sm_(1-x)NiO_(3)within 200–400 K,which displays larger magnitudes of NtCR(e.g.,more than 7%/K)that is unattainable in traditional NtCR thermistor *** temperature dependence of resistance(R–t)shows sharp variation during the MIt of Nd_(x)Sm_(1-x)NiO_(3)with no hy.t.resis via decreasing the Nd content(e.g.,x≤0.8),and such a R–t tendency can be linearized by introducing an optimum parallel *** sensitive range of temperature can be further extended to 210–360 K by combining a series of Nd_(x)Sm_(1-x)NiO_(3)with eight rare-earth co-occupation ratios as an array,with a high magnitude of NtCR(e.g.,7%–14%/K)covering the entire range of temperatures.

Monitoring agricultural drought using remote sensing data is crucial for precision irrigation in modern *** unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)remote sensing,we explored the applicability of an empirical crop water stress index(CWSI)based on canopy.t.mperature and three-dimensional drought indices(tDDI)constructed from surface temperature(t_(s)),air temperature(t_(a))and five vegetation indices(VIs)for monitoring the moisture status of dryland *** machine learning algorithms(random forest regression(RFR),support vector regression,and partial least squares regression)were used to compare the performance of the drought indices for vegetation moisture content(VMC)estimation in sorghum and *** main results of the study were as follows:(1)Comparative analysis of the drought indices revealed that t_(s)-t_(a)-normalized difference vegetation index(tDDIn)and t_(s)-t_(a)-enhanced vegetation index(tDDIe)were more strongly correlated with VMC compared with the other *** indices exhibited varying sensitivities to VMC under different irrigation regimes;the strongest correlation observed was for the tDDIe index with maize under the fully irrigated treatment(r=-0.93).(2)Regarding spatial and temporal characteristics,the tDDIn,tDDIe and CWSI indices showed minimal differences Over the experimental period,with coefficients of variation were 0.25,0.18 and 0.24,*** three indices were capable of effectively characterizing the moisture distribution in dryland maize and sorghum crops,but the tDDI indices more accurately monitored the spatial distribution of crop moisture after a rainfall or irrigation event.(3)For prediction of the moisture content of single crops,RFR models based on tDDIn and tDDIe estimated VMC most accurately(R^(2)>0.7),and the tDDIn-based model predicted VMC with the highest accuracy when considering multiple-crop samples,with R^(2)and RMSE of 0.62 and 14.26%,***,tDDI proved more effective than the CWSI in e

In this work,the impact of extrusion and post-extrusion heat treatment(t6)on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the Al-1.2Mg-0.8Si-0.5Mn alloy with different Cu contents(0,0.6,1.3 and 2.0 wt%)was *** characterization showed that all extruded alloys exhibited elongated grain structure with an average grain size of~4.8μ*** dominant texture components were deformation texture(A*,Copper and P texture),while the proportion of random texture initially increased and then decreased with increasing Cu *** t6 treatment,the grain size of the four alloys increased significantly,but the growth trend decreased with increasing Cu content,and the textures transformed into recry.t.llized textures(Cube,A and Goss texture).tensile testing revealed that the designed t6 alloys with 2.0%Cu content exhibited an excellent strength-ductility balance,i.e.,a yield strength of 342.9 MPa,an ultimate tensile strength of 424.8 MPa and an elongation of 15.9%.the enhanced strength was mainly attributed to fine grain strengthening,solid solution strengthening and aging strengthening *** superior ductility was due to the pinning effect of fine precipitates and high dislocation accommodation capacity caused by heat treatment.

Molecular-based ferroelastics with dielectric switching properties are highly desirable for their applications on microelectronic dielectric switches,sensors,data storage,and so ***,the current reports mostly focus on organic-inorganic hybrids containing toxic heavy metal atoms,and the relatively low phase transition temperature limits their *** this paper,low-toxic organic salt ferroelastic enantiomers(R/S)-4-fluoro-1-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octonium chloride[(R/S)-F-321]were designed and sy.t.esized under the introducing chirality *** undergo a 432F422-type ferroelastic phase transition with a high Curie temperature(tc)of 470 K,simultaneously exhibiting excellent dielectric switching *** addition to the ordered-disordered movement of cations,the significant displacement of anions is also responsible for such high tc and large dielectric switching ratios,which is very rare in molecular-based switching *** work enriches the development of molecular ferroelastic switching materials and gives inspiration for the exploration of environmentally friendly high tc organic salt ferroelastics with prominent switching performances.
