The shear viscosity of turbulent drag-reducing surfactant solution was measured as a function of concentration, shear rate and temperature by using an AG-G2.rheometer （TA Instruments, New Castle, USA）. The experimental results showed complicated rheological behavior with the concentration in large. The Bird-Carreau model was found to fit well to the measured rheological results. The characteristics for the parameters ηo-ηx and λ dependence on temperature were also studied.

Background Therapeutic drug monitoring guides clinical individualised medication by measuring plasma concentration, which could improve the curative effect, avoid drug overdose and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions. At present, there are few reports on the clinical detection of venlafaxine and its active metabolite O-desmethylvenlafaxine. In this paper, the detection method of venlafaxine and O-desmethylvenlafaxine in blood plasma was established, which provides an effective and convenient means for guiding clinical application of *** To establish a method for determination of venlafaxine and its active metabolite O-desmethylvenlafaxine in human plasma by highperformance liquid chromatography with fluorescence *** Chromatographic separation was achieved on an Agilent Eclipse XDB-C18 Column(4.6 × 150 mm, 5 μm) with water containing sodium dihydrogen phosphate(0.05 mol/L) and acetonitrile(72.2.) as the mobile phases. The following parameters were employed: flow rate 0.5 mL/min, column temperature 30°C, fluorescence excitation wavelength 2.6 nm and emission wavelength 598 *** The method showed good linearity in the concentration range 10–1000 ng/mL. The regression equation for venlafaxine was R=0.0054 C+0.02.4, r2.0.99991. The regression equation for O-desmethylvenlafaxine was R=0.0034 C+0.02.2. r2.0.99969. The intraday and interday precisions(relative SD) were less than 10%, and the quantitative limit was 10 ng/*** We established a sensitive, specific and simple method for the detection of venlafaxine and O-desmethylvenlafaxine. This method fully meets the needs of clinical trials of venlafaxine and the requirements of relevant guidelines. It provided a reference for the clinical detection of venlafaxine and O-desmethylvenlafaxine plasma concentrations and pharmacokinetic study.

Staphylococcus aureus(***)infection leads to a severe inflammatory response and causes acute lung injury(ALI),eventually threatening human ***,it is of importance to find an agent to inhibit inflammation and reduce ***,we found that costunolide,a sesquiterpene lactone,displays anti-inflammatory effects and ameliorates heat-killed ***(HKSA)-induced *** treatment attenuated HKSA-induced murine ALI in which pulmonary neutrophil infiltration was inhibited,lung edema was decreased,and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines was significantly *** addition,costunolide dose-dependently inhibited the generation of IL-6,TNF-α,IL-1β,and keratinocyte-derived cytokine(KC),as well as the expression of iNOS,in HKSA-induced ***,costunolide attenuated the phosphorylation of p38 MAPK and cAMP response element-binding protein(CREB).Collectively,our findings suggested that costunolide is a promising agent for alleviating bacterialinduced ALI via the inhibition of the MAPK signaling pathways.

Promoting white adipose tissue(WAT)browning and enhancing brown adipose tissue(BAT)activity are attractive therapeutic strategies for obesity and its metabolic *** sympathetic innervation in WAT and BAT represents a promising therapeutic ***,there are few reports on extracellular microenvironment remodeling,especially changes in nerve terminal *** the key molecules mediating the neuro-adipose synaptic junctions is a key *** this study,we used bioinformatics methods to identify the differentially expressed predicted secreted genes(DEPSGs)during WAT browning and BAT *** DEPSGs largely reflect changes of cytokines,extracellular matrix remodeling,vascularization,and adipocyteneuronal *** then performed functional enrichment and cellular distribution specificity *** upregulated and downregulated DEPDGs during WAT browning displayed a distinctive biological pattern and cellular *** listed a cluster of adipocyte-enriched DEPSGs,which might participate in the cross-talk between mature adipocytes and other cells;then identified a synaptogenic adhesion molecule,Clstn3,as the top gene expressed enriched in both mature white and brown *** Q-PCR and immunohistochemistry,we found significantly increased Clstn3 expression level during WAT browning and BAT activation in mice subjected to cold exposure(4℃).We further demonstrated that treatment with isoproterenol significantly increased Clstn3 and UCP1 expression in differentiated white and beige adipocytes in *** conclusion,our study demonstrates that the secretion pattern was somewhat different between WAT browning and BAT *** reveal that Clstn3 may be a key gene mediating the neuro-adipose junction formation or remodeling in WAT browning and BAT activation process.

The behaviour of 1/2.112. superlattice dislocations in polysynthetically twinned (PST) crystals of TiAl at elevated temperatures have been investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results showed that 1/2.112. superlattice dislocations play an important part in the deformation. At room temperature, 1/2.112. superlattice dislocations can be activated easily but are often dissociated into partials trailed by faulted dipoles with super extrinsic stacking faults (SESFs) and difficult to move. In situ heating observations on the faulted dipoles showed that annihilation of the partials bounding the SESFs of the faulted dipoles occurred and resulted in discontinuous stacking faults along the direction of the partials at about 500 ℃. The faulted dipoles disappeared completely at about 600 ℃. The temperature range of annihilation coincided with that of brittle to ductile transition of TiAl PST crystals reported by Inui et al (1995). At 850 ℃, they are often dissociated into partials including super intrinsic stacking faults (SISFs) and can move easily. The experimental observations suggest that the behaviors of 1/2.112. superlattice dislocations control the phenomenon of brittle to ductile transition of PST crystals of TiAl alloy.

Research on Test Unit for Determining Cooling Characteristics of Quenchants

According to ASTM Designation DXXXX Standard Test Method for Determination of Cooling Characteristics of Quenchants by Cooling Curve Analysis with Agitation (Drayton Unit), a test unit was designed using which the cooling characteristics of a quenchant at different flow rates and different temperatures can be determined. We discussed the effects of flow rate and temperature on cooling characteristics of fast speed quenching oil. The results show that this unit can be well used for determining cooling characteristics of quechants at different flow rates and different temperatures. At the same time our investigation can provide a reference to the establishment of a standard for determination of cooling characteristics of quenchants with agitation.

Quadratic and cubic non-linear eddy-viscosity turbulence models(NLEVM) with low Reynolds number(Re) correction were presented to provide better description of anisotropic turbulence stresses in the numerical prediction of supercavitating flows,which are accompanied with large density ratio and large-scaled swirling flow *** applications of the NLEVM were carried out through a self-developed cavitation codes,coupled with a cavitation model based on the transport equation of liquid *** NLEVM were verified capable of capturing more accurate macroscopic shape and hydrodynamic property of supercavity by the benchmark problems of supercavities over simple ***,the cubic NLEVM was further applied to the numerical prediction of supercavitating flow around a complex submerged *** corresponding cavitation behaviors were explored in detail to provide beneficial experience for further research.
