Activation-induced deaminase （AID） initiates th. secondary antibody diversification process in B lymph.cytes. In mammalian B cells, th.s process includes somatic h.permutation （Sh.） and class switch.recombination （CSR）, both.of wh.ch.require AID. AID induces U：G mismatch.lesions in DNA th.t are subsequently converted into point mutations or DNA double stranded breaks during Sh./CSR. In a ph.siological context, AID targets immunogiobulin （Ig） loci to mediate Sh./CSR. h.wever, recent studies reveal genome-wide access of AID to numerous non-Ig loci. Th.s, AID poses a th.eat to th. genome of B cells if AID-initiated DNA lesions cannot be properly repaired. In th.s review, we focus on th. molecular mech.nisms th.t regulate th. specificity of AID targeting and th. repair path.ays responsible for processing AID-initiated DNA lesions.

A Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) model was formulated for DC arc h.drogen/argon plasma jet reactors used in th. process of th. th.rmal h.2/Ar plasma pyrolysis of coal to acetylene. In th.s model, fluid flow, convective h.at transfer and conjugate h.at conductivity are considered simultaneously. Th. error caused by estimating th. inner-wall temperature of a reactor is avoided. Th. th.rmodynamic and transport properties of th. h.drogen/argon mixture plasma system, wh.ch.are usually expressed by a set of discrete data, are fitted into expressions th.t can be easily implemented in th. program. Th. effects of th. turbulence are modeled by two standard k-εequations. Th. temperature field and velocity field in th. plasma jet reactor were calculated by employing SIMPLEST algorith.. Th. knowledge and insigh. obtained are useful for th. design improvement and scale-up of plasma reactors.

It is well known th.t increasing th. rotational velocity is an effective way to increase th. total pressure ratio. With.increasing flow velocity especially under th. condition of transonic flow in th. supersonic region, wh.re exist strong sh.ck waves, th. sh.ck wave loss becomes main and important. Simultaneously, th.re occurs boundary layer separation due to th. sh.ck wave / boundary layer interaction. In th. present paper th. transonic compressor blades were studied and analyzed to find a proper and simple way to reduce th. sh.ck wave loss by optimizing th. suction surface configuration or controlling th. gradient of isentropic Mach.number on th. suction surface. A Navier-Stokes solver combined with.a modified design algorith. was developed and used. Th. NASA single rotor for transonic flow compressor was served as a numerical example to sh.w th. effectiveness of th.s meth.d. Two cases for both.original and modified rotors were analyzed and compared.

Objectives: To obtain very end full-length.cDNA ofh.patitis C virus (h.V) 5’ untranslated region(5’UTR) and analyze its primary and ***: A patient infected genotype 2a h.V wasidentified by reverse transcription-nested polymerasech.in reaction (RT-PCR) and restriction fragmentlength.polymorph.sm (RFLP). Total RNA isolatedfrom th. serum was used as template, and th. cDNAof th. 5’ untranslated region was amplified using rap-id amplification of cDNA ends (RACE). Th. frag-ments were recombinated by A-T clone strategy, andth. recombinants were confirmed by RFLP andPCR, and sequenced subsequently. Secondary struc-tures were analysed by ***: Very end full-length.cDNA of genotype 2ah.V 5’ UTR was obtained by RACE. In five clonesobtained, th.ee contained full-length.5’UTR cDNA;A21G, G170A, T222C, T247C, C339T substitutionswere found as compared to h.-J6. h.mological re-sults of h.V-1, h.-J6, h.-C2, h.-J8 were 93.6%-94.4%, 92.1%-93%, 98.8%-99.7%, 96.2%-96.5%, respectively; h.wever, th. substitutions didnot alter secondary structure. Two of 5 clones weredeletions of 53bp and 135bp at th. 5’terminal ofh.V 5’UTR, ***: RACE can be used to obtain th. full-length.cDNA of 2a genotype h.V 5’UTR. Genes de-leted at th. 5’ terminal of h.V circulate in h.patitisC patients.

Th. th.n-wall effect of DZ25G, a directionally solidified (DS) superalloy, h.s been studied by ustng tubular investment cast th.n-wall specimens with.sh.pe and wall th.ckness near th. air-cooled h.llow *** results sh.w th.t th. stress-rupture properties of th. th.n-wall specimens (th.ckness 0.8, 1.2 and 1.6 mm) are equivalent to th. standard ones (diameter 5 mm),i.e., under th. experimental conditions in th.s study th. alloy DZ25G h.s insignificant th.n-wall effect. It is apparent th.t th. resulte are different from previous work. In th. paper th. reasons resulting in th. difference were discussion in terms of th. specimen manufacture process and th.s microstructure feature.

h.avy deformation and controlled cooling is one of th. most effective effective ways for grain refinement in h.IA steels. In th.s paper, experimental specimens are prepared with.a commercial linepipe steel grade X65, and th. ch.mical compositions are (wt% ): Fe-0.094C-1.42Mn-0. 29Si-0. 045Nb-0. 008Ti. After h.avy deformation with.80% reduction in non-recrystallization range of austenite, and at controlled cooling rates from 2K/s to 64K/s, th. grain sizes vary from 9.55μm to 1.06μ*** is sh.wn by th. results th.t a linear relationsh.p still remains between th. yield strength.and reciprocal of square root of ferrite grain size as grain size is refined to *** ultra-fine grains migh. be dynam- ically formed th.ough.th. deformation-induced transformation wh.n reduction is large *** grain sizes decrease wh.n th. cooling rates *** th. cooling rates increase over 10K/s, th. grain sizes are rarely ch.nged. Th. particles distribute on grain boundaries, sub-grain boundaries, deformed bands and with.n th. ferrite grains.
