Adaptive-basis decomposition-based low-rank network for efficient non-uniform motion deblurring

In this study, we present a unified sparsity-driven framework that significantly enhances motion deblurring performance by integrating two key components: a custom-designed dataset and a low-rank module(LRM). This framework leverages the inherent sparsity of per-pixel blur kernels to bolster both deblurring accuracy and model interpretability. Firstly, we propose an adaptive-basis decomposition-based deblurring(ADD) approach, which constructs a tailored training dataset to enhance the generalization capacity of the deblurring network. The ADD framework adaptively decomposes motion blur into sparse basis elements, effectively addressing the intricacies associated with non-uniform blurs. Secondly, an LRM is proposed to improve the interpretability of deblurring models as a plug-and-play module, primarily designed to identify and harness the intrinsic sparse features in sharp images. A series of ablation studies have been conducted to substantiate the synergistic advantages of combining the proposed ADD with the LRM for overall improvement in deblurring efficacy. Subsequently, we empirically demonstrate through rigorous experimentation that incorporating the LRM into an existing Uformer network leads to substantial enhancement in reconstruction performance. This integration yields a sparsity-guided low-rank network(SGLRN). Operating under the overarching principle of sparsity, SGLRN consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods across multiple standard deblurring benchmarks. Comprehensive experimental results, assessed through quantitative metrics and qualitative visual evaluations, provide compelling evidence of its effectiveness. Impact of Phase-locked Loop Dynamics on Transient Over-voltage in VSC due to Switching Delays

With the implementation of the "emission peak, carbon neutrality" strategy, the proportion of renewable energy is increasing, and the grid strength of the power system is getting weaker. This leads to high transient over-voltage problems caused by AC short circuits. The paper analyzes the impact of phase-locked loop (PLL) dynamics on the transient over-voltage in a voltage source converter (VSC) due to switching delays after low voltage ride-through (LVRT). The results show that the point of common coupling (PCC) voltage phase generally jumps backward at the moment of fault clearing, and the reactive current during the switching delay no longer equals the reference value due to PLL. When VSC only injects reactive current during LVRT, the phenomenon will improve the transient over-voltage. However, if the active current is injected simultaneously, the transient over-voltage level may deteriorate under some parameters of PLL. In addition, this paper also analyzes the principle of PLL parameter adjustment to ensure that the PLL dynamics improve the transient over-voltage. Electromagnetic transient simulation by MATLAB verifies the results. © 2025 Power System Technology Press. All rights reserved.

Selective G6PDH inactivation for Helicobacter pylori eradication with transformed polysulfide

Alternative treatment for the highly prevalent Helicobacter pylori infection is imperative due to rising antibiotic resistance. We unexpectedly discovered that the anti-H. pylori component in garlic is hydrogen polysulfide（H2S_n, n≥2）, not organic polysulfides. Studies on the mechanism of action（MoA） show that H2S_nspecifically inactivates H. pylori glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase（G6PDH） by interfering with electron transfer from glucose-6-phosphate（G6P） to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate（NADP+）. However, low H2S_nyield makes garlic derivatives hard to be a reliable donor of H2S_nto treat H. pylori infection. To address this challenge, we established a polysulfide transformation process from garlic organosulfur compounds into Fe3S4that generates H2S_nwith a 25–58 times increase in *** chitosan encapsulation, we designed a gastric-adaptive H2S_nmicroreactor（GAPSR） that eradicates H. pylori with 250 times higher efficiency under gastric conditions. A single GAPSR achieves more rapid H. pylori eradication than combined antibiotics therapy without disturbing the gut microbiota. These findings indicate a distinct MoA transformation mediated by polysulfide as an alternative candidate to treat H. pylori infection.

Aerodynamic optimization design for high pressure turbines based on the adjoint approach

Abstract A first study on the continuous adjoint formulation for aerodynamic optimization design of high pressure turbines based on S2 surface governed by the Euler equations with source terms is presented. The objective function is defined as an integral function along the boundaries, and the adjoint equations and the boundary conditions are derived by introducing the adjoint variable vec- tors. The gradient expression of the objective function then includes only the terms related to phys- ical shape variations. The numerical solution of the adjoint equation is conducted by a finite- difference method with the Jameson spatial scheme employing the first and the third order dissipa- tive fluxes. A gradient-based aerodynamic optimization system is established by integrating the blade stagger angles, the stacking lines and the passage perturbation parameterization with the quasi-Newton method of Broyden Fletcher Goldfarb-Shanno （BFGS）. The application of the continuous adjoint method is validated through a single stage high pressure turbine optimization case. The adiabatic efficiency increases from 0.8875 to 0.8931, whilst the mass flow rate and the pressure ratio remain almost unchanged. The optimization design is shown to reduce the passage vortex loss as well as the mixing loss due to the cooling air injection.

Surficial water adsorption and interfacial water condensation as natural phenomena that can alter the contact status of the solid interface and tribological performances are crucial in all length scales,i.e.,from earthquakes to skating at the macroscale level and even to micro/nano-electromechanical systems(M/NEMS)at the microscale/nanoscale *** water exhibits diverse structure and properties from bulk water because of its further interaction with solid *** this paper,the evolutions of the molecular configuration of the adsorbed water layer depending on solid surface chemistry(wettability)and structure,environmental conditions(i.e.,relative humidity and temperature),and experimental parameters(i.e.,sliding speed and normal load)and their impacts on tribological performances,such as adhesion,friction,and wear,are systematically *** on these factors,interfacial water can increase or reduce adhesion and friction as well as facilitate or suppress the tribochemical wear depending on the water condensation kinetics at the interface as well as the thickness and structure of the involved interfacial water.

A wideband fast multipole boundary element method for half-space/plane-symmetric acoustic wave problems

This paper presents a novel wideband fast multipole boundary element approach to 3D half-space/planesymmetric acoustic wave *** half-space fundamental solution is employed in the boundary integral equations so that the tree structure required in the fast multipole algorithm is constructed for the boundary elements in the real domain ***,a set of symmetric relations between the multipole expansion coefficients of the real and image domains are derived,and the half-space fundamental solution is modified for the purpose of applying such relations to avoid calculating,translating and saving the multipole/local expansion coefficients of the image *** wideband adaptive multilevel fast multipole algorithm associated with the iterative solver GMRES is employed so that the present method is accurate and efficient for both lowand high-frequency acoustic wave *** for exterior acoustic problems,the Burton-Miller method is adopted to tackle the fictitious eigenfrequency problem involved in the conventional boundary integral equation *** on the implementation of the present method are described,and numerical examples are given to demonstrate its accuracy and efficiency.

Novel TPN control algorithm for exoatmospheric intercept

A novel control algorithm with fixed pulse thrust, based on true proportional navigation（TPN）, is proposed for exoatmospheric *** to the TPN guidance law and pulse thrust characteristics, the principle of control command is presented, the control stability and precision are *** the help of the TPN guidance law, the algorithm can automatically modulate the turn-on time and duration of the thrust, which could effectively limit the impact of measure noise of the line-of-sight（LOS） angle and rate on the interception *** last, the number-theoretic method（NTM） is introduced to acquire the relation between control algorithm and miss-distance, even as it simulates the intercept process with initial state *** the reliability of the algorithm is demonstrated with the simulation result.

The Global Well-posedness for the 2D Leray-αMHD Equations with Zero Magnetic Diffusivity

By means of Fourier frequency localization and Bony＇s paraproduct decomposition, we study the global existence and the uniqueness of the 2D Leray-α Magneta-hydrodynamics model with zero magnetic diffusivity for the general initial data. In view of the profits bring by the α model, then using the energy estimate in the frequency space and the Logarithmic Sobolev inequality, we obtain the estimate ∫0^t ｜｜△u｜｜L∞ds which is crucial to get the global existence for the general initial data.

Metarelation2vec:A Metapath-Free Scalable Representation Learning Model for Heterogeneous Networks

Metapaths with specific complex semantics are critical to learning diverse semantic and structural information of heterogeneous networks(HNs)for most of the existing representation learning ***,any metapaths consisting of multiple,simple metarelations must be driven by domain *** sensitive,expensive,and limited metapaths severely reduce the flexibility and scalability of the existing models.A metapath-free,scalable representation learning model,called Metarelation2vec,is proposed for HNs with biased joint learning of all metarelations in a bid to address this ***,a metarelation-aware,biased walk strategy is first designed to obtain better training samples by using autogenerating cooperation probabilities for all metarelations rather than using expert-given ***,grouped nodes by the type,a common and shallow skip-gram model is used to separately learn structural proximity for each node ***,grouped links by the type,a novel and shallow model is used to separately learn the semantic proximity for each link ***,supervised by the cooperation probabilities of all meta-words,the biased training samples are thrown into the shallow models to jointly learn the structural and semantic information in the HNs,ensuring the accuracy and scalability of the *** experimental results on three tasks and four open datasets demonstrate the advantages of our proposed model.
