Monitoring agricultural drought using remote.s.nsing data is crucial for precision irrigation in modern *** unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)remote.s.nsing,we explored the applicability of an empirical crop water stre.s.index(CWsI)based on canopy temperature and three-dime.s.onal drought indices(TDDI)constructed from surface temperature(T_(s)),air temperature(T_(a))and five vegetation indices(VIs)for monitoring the moisture.s.atus of dryland *** machine learning algorithms(random forest regre.s.on(RFR),support vector regre.s.on,and partial le.s. squares regre.s.on)were used to compare the performance of the drought indices for vegetation moisture content(VMC)estimation in sorghum and *** main results of the.s.udy were as follows:(1)Comparative analysis of the drought indices revealed that T_(s)-T_(a)-normalized difference vegetation index(TDDIn)and T_(s)-T_(a)-enhanced vegetation index(TDDIe)were more.s.rongly correlated with VMC compared with the other *** indices exhibited varying se.s.tivities to VMC under different irrigation regimes;the.s.rongest correlation observed was for the TDDIe index with maize under the fully irrigated treatment(r=-0.93).(2)Regarding spatial and temporal characteristics,the TDDIn,TDDIe and CWsI indices showed minimal differences Over the experimental period,with coefficients of variation were 0.25,0.18 and 0.24,*** three indices were capable of effectively characterizing the moisture distribution in dryland maize and sorghum crops,but the TDDI indices more accurately monitored the.s.atial distribution of crop moisture after a rainfall or irrigation event.(3)For prediction of the moisture content of single crops,RFR mode.s.based on TDDIn and TDDIe estimated VMC most accurately(R^(2)>0.7),and the TDDIn-based model predicted VMC with the highest accuracy when considering multiple-crop samples,with R^(2)and RMse of 0.62 and 14.26%,***,TDDI proved more effective than the CWsI in e

The main objective of this paper is to investigate the influence of inertia of nonlinear springs on the dispe.s.on behavior of discrete monoatomic chains with lumped and distributed *** developed model can represent the wave propagation problem in a non-homogeneous material consisting of heavy inclusions embedded in a *** inclusions are idealized by lumped masses,and the matrix between adjacent inclusions is modeled by a nonlinear spring with distributed ***,the model is capable of depicting the wave propagation in bi-material bars,wherein the first material is represented by a rigid particle and the.s.cond one is represented by a nonlinear spring with distributed *** discrete model of the nonlinear monoatomic chain with lumped and distributed masses is first considered,and a closed-form expre.s.on of the dispe.s.on relation is obtained by the.s.cond-order Lindstedt-Poincare method(LPM).Next,a continuum model for the nonlinear monoatomic chain is derived directly from its discrete lattice model by a suitable continualization *** subsequent use of the.s.cond-order method of multiple.s.ales(MMs)facilitates the derivation of the corresponding nonlinear dispe.s.on relation in a closed *** novelties of the present study consist of(i)considering the inertia of nonlinear springs on the dispe.s.on behavior of the discrete mass-spring chains;(ii)developing the.s.cond-order LPM for the wave propagation in the discrete chains;and(iii)deriving a continuum model for the nonlinear monoatomic chains with lumped and distributed ***,a parametric study is conducted to examine the effects of the design paramete.s.and the distributed spring mass on the nonlinear dispe.s.on relations and phase velocities obtained from both the discrete and continuum *** paramete.s.include the ratio of the.s.ring mass to the lumped mass,the nonlinear stiffne.s.coefficient of the.s.ring,and the wave amplitude.

It has been reported that C-type lectins(CTLs),which are pattern recognition receptors of the insect innate immunity response,may compete with Cry toxin for the receptor alkaline phosphatase to decre.s. its toxicity in ***,to date,which CTLs affect larval susceptibility to Bt in spodoptera exigua is not *** this study,33 CTL genes were identified from *** on the number of carbohydrate-recognition domains(CRDs)and the domain architectures,they were classified into three groups:(1)nineteen CTL-s(single-CRD),(2)eight immulectin(dual-CRD)and(3)six CTL-X(CRD with other domains).RT-qPCR analysis revealed that expre.s.on leve.s.of seCTL-s15,IML-4 and CTL-X6 were upregulated after challenge with Bt and *** and developmental stage expre.s.on analysis showed that only seCTL-s15 was mainly expre.s.d in the midgut and larva,*** of seCTL-s15 significantly incre.s.d Bt susceptibility,as indicated by reduced survival and larval *** results suggest that CTL-s15 might play a vital role in the low susceptibility of larvae to Bt in *** results provide new insights into CTL function in insects.

Mitotic catastrophe(MC),which occurs under dysregulated mitosis,represents a fascinating tactic to specifically eradicate tumor *** pyroptosis can be a death form of MC remains ***-mediated protein degradation is crucial for ***(BTZ),which inhibits the 20s catalytic particle of prote.s.me,is approved to treat multiple myeloma and mantle cell lymphoma,but not solid tumors due to primary *** date,whether and how prote.s.me inhibitor affected the fates of cells in M-phase remains ***,we.s.ow that BTZ treatment,or silencing of PsMC5,a subunit of 19s regulatory particle of prote.s.me,causes G2-and M-phase arrest,multi-polar spindle formation,and consequent caspase-3/GsDMe-mediated pyroptosis in M-phase(designated as mitotic pyroptosis).Further investigations reveal that inhibitor of Wee1/PKMYT1(PD0166285),but not inhibitor of ATR,CHK1 or CHK2,abrogates the BTZ-induced G2-phase arrest,thus exacerbates the BTZ-induced mitotic arrest and *** BTZ and PD0166285 treatment(named BP-Combo)selectively kills various types of solid tumor cells,and significantly le.s.ns the IC50 of both BTZ and PD0166285 compared to BTZ or PD0166285 *** using various mouse mode.s.show that BP-Combo has much stronger inhibition on tumor growth and metastasis than BTZ or PD0166285 monotreatment,and no obvious toxicity is observed in BP-Combo-treated *** findings disclose the effect of prote.s.me inhibitors in inducing pyroptosis in M-phase,characterize pyroptosis as a new death form of mitotic catastrophe,and identify dual inhibition of prote.s.me and Wee family kinases as a promising anti-cancer strategy to selectively kill solid tumor cells.

sulfydryl-contained(-sH)substances including hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)s),cysteine(Cys),homocysteine(Hcy)and glutathione(GsH)play crucial roles in living syste.s.and their variations are closely associated with various ***,we developed a near-infrared intramolecular charge transfer(ICT)based fluorescent probe Y-NBD,achieving detection of Cys/Hcy and H_(2)s with different fluorescent signals(green-red for Cys/Hcy,red for H_(2)s),large.s.okes shifts(∼100/105nm or 191 nm)and high signal-background-ratio,but not responding to GsH.Y-NBD was succe.s.ully applied to image exogenous/endogenous Cys/Hcy and H_(2)s in various living cancer cells(HeLa,A549,and HepG2)and in *** not only visualized the transformation pathway of several thiols in HepG2 cells but also verified that the intestine is the main site for the activation and metabolism of Y-NBD in zebrafish,as well as realized to evaluate the degree of drug-induced liver *** work provides a promising tool for imaging Cys/Hcy and H_(2)s in living syste.s.and shows great potency in evaluating drug-induced liver injury and its treatment.
