The purpose of the present article is to introduce a class of mixed two- and three-level extended designs obtained by adding some new runs to an existing mixed two- and three-level design. A formulation of wrap-around L2-discrepancy for the extended designs is developed. As a benchmark of obtaining （nearly） uniform asymmetrical extended designs, a lower bound to the wrap-around L2- discrepancy for our proposed designs is established. Thorough numerical results are displayed, which provide further corroboration to the derived theoretical results.

The theory of uniform design has received increasing interest because of its wide application in the field of computer *** generalized discrete discrepancy is proposed to evaluate the uniformity of the mixed-level factorial *** this paper,the authors give a lower bound of the generalized discrete discrepancy and provide some construction methods of optimal mixed-level uniform designs which can achieve this lower *** methods are all deterministic construction methods which can avoid the complexity of stochastic *** saturated mixed-level uniform designs and supersaturated mixed-level uniform designs can be obtained with these ***,the resulting designs are also χ^(2)-optimal and minimum moment aberration designs.

This paper considers a linear regression model involving both quantitative and qualitative factors and an m-dimensional response variable y. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate D-optimal designs when the levels of the qualitative factors interact with the levels of the quantitative factors. Under a general covariance structure of the response vector y, here we establish that the determinant of the information matrix of a product design can be separated into two parts corresponding to the two marginal designs. Moreover, it is also proved that D-optimal designs do not depend on the covariance structure if we assume hierarchically ordered system of regression models.

This paper investigates the optimal design problem for the prediction of the individual parameters in hierarchical linear models with heteroscedastic *** equivalence theorem is established to characterize D-optimality of designs for the prediction based on the mean squared error *** admissibility of designs is also considered and a sufficient condition to simplify the design problem is *** results obtained are illustrated in terms of a simple linear model with random slope and heteroscedastic errors.

根据序贯试验通过一个阶段试验接着另一个阶段试验不断扩充的特征,新的试验点将会被添加到已经选好的设计中,因此,如何设计一个好的序贯试验是一个非常有意义的问题.在Lee偏差度量下,本文研究均匀的非对称拓展设计,并用它来做序贯试验.本文建立二三混水平拓展设计的Lee偏差与其初始设计和附加设计的Lee偏差之间的解析关系,为构造(近似)均匀的拓展设计提供了理论支撑.为了给出筛选、评价拓展设计的准则,本文给出拓展设计Lee偏差的下界.此外,还通过一些数值例子来进一步说明、解释本文的理论结果.

A facile fabrication and processing of cerium oxide-graphene oxide(CeO_2-GO) hybrid nanocomposites without the use of any surfactant or any organic solvents using chemical method and treatment with microwave irradiation technique are reported. In-situ hexagonal nano cerium oxide particles embedded on the layered surface of GO sheets were investigated for the photodegradation of dyes, removal of chromium Cr(VI) ions and against antibacterial studies. The results imply that hybrid nanocomposites shows enhanced 5-folds of photocatalytic activities in UV(ultraviolet) light irradiation and exhibited rapid efficiency in the elimination of chromium ion better than the pure GO and CeO_2, which are inhibited by competent photosensitive electron inoculation and controlling the electron–hole recombination. The synergetic effect of CeO_2-GO composites played a vital role in showing better results against model bacterium than GO and CeO_2 are due to higher physical interaction endorsed to the stress of membranes acute by piercing edges,large surface area, and higher adsorptive conditions of graphene oxide sheets tailored with ceria particles. The amount of charge transferred at the interface increases with the concentration of O atoms, demonstrating the interaction between CeO_2 and GO is much stronger than CeO_2 and GO are due to the decrease of the average equilibrium distance between the interfaces. The CeO_2-GO interface staggered band alignments existing between the CeO_2 surfaces and GO which shows an excellent synergism. The structure and morphology of composites were tested by X-ray diffraction(XRD), Fourier transform infrared(FTIR), Raman, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), and high-resolution transmission electron microscope(HR-TEM).

Prospective randomized study correlating intra-operative urethral mucosal injury with early period after transurethral resection of the prostate stricture urethra: A novel concept

Objective:To investigate the incidence of urethral stricture during the early period after transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP)and correlate its incidence with intra-operative urethral mucosal injury during *** to compare the other established risk factors affecting the development of urethral stricture among patients undergoing monopolar or bipolar TURP over a period of 6 months follow-up as the prospective randomized ***:One hundred and fifty men older than 50 years with lower-urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia were randomized to undergo either standard monopolar TURP with glycine as the irrigation fluid or bipolar TURP with normal saline as *** prostate size,operative time,intra-operative mucosal rupture,catheter time,catheter traction duration,uroflowmetry,and post-operative stricture rate were ***:A total of 150 patients underwent TURP,including 74 patients undergoing monopolar TURP(one patient was excluded as his post-operative histopathological examination report was of adenocarcinoma prostate)and 75 patients undergoing bipolar-TURP,all of which were performed using a 26 Fr sheath *** mean International Prostate Symptom Score and maximum urinary flow rate score at post-operative 3 months and 6 months were comparable between the *** of 149 patients,nine patients(6.0%)developed urethral *** severity of the injury(urethral mucosal injury)correlated with the likelihood of developing a subsequent complication(stricture urethra).Patients with stricture had significantly larger prostate volume than patients without stricture(65.0 mL vs.50.0 mL;p=0.030).Patients with stricture had longer operative time than patients without stricture(55.0 min vs.40.0 min;p=0.002).In both procedures,formation of post-operative stricture urethra was independently associated with intra-operative mucosal ***:Intra-operative recognition of urethral mucosal injury hel
