Most manufacturing firms consider product pricing as a key strategic *** planning and scheduling,on the other hand,are mostly treated as a non-strategic *** businesses,therefore,follow some sequential decision-making process;where product prices are determined first and then operational plans are made to fulfill the resulting demand at the lowest possible *** this paper,we present a coordinated decision model approach for multiproduct pricing and lot sizing decisions for a manufacturer who has limited production *** the presented model is specific to demands that follow constant elasticity of the price,it can easily be extended to other convex demand *** show that a coordinated decision-making process where price and production plans are determined simultaneously may lead to substantially higher *** propose an efficient solution methodology for finding optimal prices and product quantities and use real-world data to demonstrate the applicability of this research.

Metastatic breast cancer is incurable and often due to breast cancer stem cell(CSC)-mediated *** previously determined that the aryl hydrocarbon receptor(Ahr)agonist aminoflavone(AF)inhibits the expression of the CSC biomarkerα6-integrin(ITGA6)to disrupt the formation of luminal(hormone receptor-positive)mammospheres(3D breast cancer spheroids).In this study,we performed mirNA-sequencing analysis of luminal A MCF-7 mammospheres treated with AF to gain further insight into the mechanism of AF-mediated anti-cancer and anti-breast CSC *** significantly induced the expression of>70 microrNAs(mirNAs)including mir125b-2–3p,a predicted stemness gene ***-mediated mir125b-2–3p induction was validated in MCF-7 mammospheres and ***125b-2–3p levels were low in breast cancer tissues irrespective of subtype compared to normal breast *** mir125b-2–3p levels were low in MCF-7 cells,they were much lower in AHr100 cells(MCF-7 cells made unresponsive to Ahr agonists).The mir125b-2–3p mimic decreased,while the antagomir125b-2–3p increased the expression of stemness genes ITGA6 and sox2 in MCF-7 *** MCF-7 mammospheres,the mir125b-2–3p mimic decreased only ITGA6 expression although the antagomir125b-2–3p increased ITGA6,sox2 and MYC ***125b-2–3p reversed AF-mediated suppression of *** mir125b-2–3p mimic decreased proliferation,migration,and mammosphere formation while the antagomir125b-2–3p increased proliferation and mammosphere formation in MCF-7 *** mir125b-2–3p mimic also inhibited proliferation,mammosphere formation,and migration in AHr100 *** induced Ahr-and mir125b2-3p-dependent anti-proliferation,anti-migration,and mammosphere disruption in MCF-7 *** findings suggest that mir125b-2–3p is a tumor suppressor and AF upregulates mir125b-2–3p to disrupt mammospheres via mechanisms that rely at least partially on Ahr in luminal A breast cancer cells.

Four Years of Operating Experience with DryFiningTM Fuel Enhancement Process at Coal Creek Generating Station

Lignite and sub-bituminous coals from western U.S. contain high amounts of moisture （sub-bituminous： 15%-30%, lignites： 25%-40%）. German and Australian lignites （brown coals） have even higher moisture content, 50% and 60%, respectively. The high moisture content causes a reduction in plant performance and higher emissions, compared to the bituminous （hard） coals. Despite their high-moisture content, lignite and sub-bituminous coals from the western U.S. and worldwide are attractive due to their abundance, low cost, low NOx and sox emissions, and high reactivity. A novel low-temperature coal drying process employing a fluidized bed dryer and waste heat was developed in the U.S. by a team led by GrE （Great river Energy）. Demonstration of the technology was conducted with the U.S. Department of Energy and GrE funding at Coal Creek Station Unit 1. Following the successful demonstration, the low-temperature coal drying technology was commercialized by GrE under the trade name DryFiningTM fuel enhancement process and implemented at both units at Coal Creek Station. The coal drying system at Coal Creek has been in a continuous commercial operation since December 2009. By implementing DryFining at Coal Creek, GrE avoided $366 million in capital expenditures, which would otherwise be needed to comply with emission regulations. Four years of operating experience is described in this paper.

The work of “Monitoring and Evaluation of Air Pollution” the main aim of this work is to measure the concentrations of gases which include CO2, CO, NOx, SOx and thermal radiation and carry out an analysis of the measured data. This experiment was scheduled to take place at Egbema flow station which is managed by NPDC (Nigerian Petroleum Development Commission) Shell location 2 in Obiakpu, Ohaji Imo state. The bad effects of these pollutant gases on the community can include cause of diseases to plants and animals, causes of physical ailments in the respiratory tract of humans, and death and degradation of the surrounding environment. The parameters measured during this exercise include the distance from the flow station, latitude and longitude of the distance measured on the earth’s surface, time for the experiment and the concentration of pollutant gases. The instrument used includes CO meter, CO2 meter, SOx and NOx meters, and thermal radiation meter. The gases were measured in three different time intervals between 10:50 am - 11:23 am (for CO: 0.02 ppm, 0.01 ppm, 0 ppm, 0 ppm, 0.01 ppm, 0 ppm;for CO2: 0.04 ppm, 0.01 ppm, 0.01 ppm, 0.02 ppm, 0.01 ppm, 0 ppm;for SOx: 0 mg/m3, 0 mg/m3, 0 mg/m3, 0 mg/m3, 0 mg/m3, 0 mg/m3;for NOx: 0.127 mg/m3, 0.098 mg/m3, 0.12 mg/m3, 0.122 mg/m3, 0.113 mg/m3, 0.103 mg/m3;for thermal radiation: 57.4 W/m2, 61.5 W/m2, 65.1 W/m2, 64.9 W/m2, 81.9 W/m2, 148.3 W/m2), 1:30 pm - 2:13 pm (for CO: 0.01 ppm, 0.02 ppm, 0 ppm, 0 ppm, 0.1 ppm, 0 ppm;for CO2: 0.01 ppm, 0.01 ppm, 0.01 ppm, 0.01 ppm, 0 ppm, 0 ppm;for SOx: 0 mg/m3, 0 mg/m3, 0 mg/m3, 0 mg/m3, 0 mg/m3, 0 mg/m3
