Recently, there has been an increased recognition of neoplasms of the pancreas other than ductal adenocarcinorna. Although not as well studied or characterized as pancreatic adenocarcinorna there are many distinct lesions which exhibit diverse biological behaviors and varying degrees of malignancy. These lesions include： endocrine neoplasms, cystic tumors, solid pseudopapillary tumors, acinar cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, primary lymphoma of the pancreas, and metastatic lesions to the pancreas. These less common neoplasms are being diagnosed more frequently as the number and sensitivity of diagnostic imaging studies increase. This review article discusses the clinical course, diagnosis, and treatment of these less common, but quite relevant, neoplasms of the pancreas.

Vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） is a potent secreted mitogen critical for physiologic and tumor angiogenesis. Regulation of VEGF occurs at several levels, including transcription, mRNA stabilization, translation, and differential cellular localization of various isoforms. Recent advances in our understanding of post-transcriptional regulation of VEGF include identification of the stabilizing mRNA binding protein, HuR, and the discovery of internal ribosomal entry sites in the 5＇UTR of the VEGF mRNA. Monoclonal anti-VEGF antibody was recently approved for use in humans, but suffers from the need for high systemic doses. RNA interference （RNAi） technology is being used in vitro and in animal models with promising results. Here, we review the literature on post-transcriptional regulation of VEGF and describe recent progress in targeting these mechanisms for therapeutic benefit.

Small coin cell batteries are predominantly used for testing lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)in academia because they require small amounts of material and are easy to ***,insufficient attention is given to difference in cell performance that arises from the differences in format between coin cells used by academic researchers and pouch or cylindrical cells which are used in *** this article,we compare coin cells and pouch cells of different size with exactly the same electrode materials,electrolyte,and electrochemical *** show the battery impedance changes substantially depending on the cell format using techniques including Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS)and Galvanostatic Intermittent Titration Technique(GITT).Using full cell NCA-graphite LIBs,we demonstrate that this difference in impedance has important knock-on effects on the battery rate performance due to ohmic polarization and the battery life time due to Li metal plating on the *** hope this work will help researchers getting a better idea of how small coin cell formats impact the cell performance and help predicting improvements that can be achieved by implementing larger cell formats.

Huanglongbing （HLB） is the most destructive disease of citrus worldwide. The Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama （Hemiptera： Psyllidae）, is the vector of the phloem-inhabiting bacterium, Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus, which is presumed to cause HLB in Florida citrus. Laboratory and field studies were conducted to examine the behavioral responses of male and female D. cirri to their cuticular extracts. In olfactometer assays, more male D. citri were attracted to one, five, or 10 female cuticular extract equivalent units than blank controls. The results were confirmed in field studies in which clear or yellow traps baited with 10 female cuticular extract equivalent units attracted proportionately more males than clear traps baited with male cuticular extract or unbaited traps. Analyses of cuticular constituents of male and female D. citri revealed differences between the sexes in chemical composition of their cuticular extracts. Laboratory bioassays with synthetic chemicals identified from cuticular extracts indicated that dodecanoic acid attracted more males than clean air. Traps baited with dodecanoic acid did not increase total catch olD. citri as compared with blank traps at the dosages tested; however, the sex ratio ofpsyllid catch was male biased on traps baited with the highest lure loading dosage tested （10.0 mg）.

Polyalkenoate cement(PAC)is a promising material for regenerative hard tissue *** ionically rich glass component of PAC encourages bioactive interaction *** release of essential ***,PAC bioactivity is restricted owing to(i)structurally inherent cationic network formers and(ii)surface bacterial biofilm *** two factors cause a deficiency in ion release,further complicated by secondary infections and premature therapeutic ***,a multivalent zwitterionic network modifier(mZM)is presented for upregulation of ionic exchange and bioactivity *** introducing a non-zero charged mZM into PACs,an increase in the proportion of non-bridging oxygen *** network modification promotes ion channel formation,causing a multiple-fold increase in ion release and surface deposition of hydroxy-carbonate apatite(ca.74%).Experiments ex vivo and animal models also demonstrate the efficient remineralization ability of the ***,divalent cationic interaction results in bacterial biofilm reduction(ca.68%)while also influencing a shift in the biofilm species composition,which favors commensal ***,PAC modification with mZM offers a promising solution for upregulation of bioactivity,even aiding in customization by targeting site-specific regenerative therapy in future applications.

Purpose: The purpose of our study, which focused on the contribution of medical imaging in the diagnosis of urinary tract diseases in children at the charles de Gaulle University Hospital of Ouagadougou, was to study the role of medical imaging in the diagnosis of urinary tract diseases in patients aged 15 years or less at the CHUP-CDG. Patients and Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study with the retrospective collection covering the period from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2018, i.e., 10 years. We collected a total of 833 medical imaging examinations, performed in 735 patients. The mean age of the patients was 40 months, infants accounted for 37.69% of the cases. Male patients were more numerous with a sex ratio of 1.53. Results: Ultrasonography was performed in 652 patients or 78.27%, ASP RX in 128 patients or 10.88%. URC and UIV were used in 6.53% and 0.68% of patients, respectively. CT and MRI were not performed in our study. The most frequent clinical urinary signs were dysuria (58.13%) and hematuria (43.94%). Ultrasonography was the most requested examination (78.27%), followed by conventional radiography (15.37%). Urinary lithiasis was by far the most common urinary condition (46.86%), followed by urinary tract infections (32.19%) and malformative uropathies (14.93%), of which the posterior urethral valve was the most frequent. Imaging was also used to find other conditions associated with urinary tract diseases. Conclusion: Medical imaging plays a major role in the diagnosis and management of urinary tract diseases in children. It has limitations, that is why a formal meeting between clinicians and radiologists is necessary for a better choice of imaging techniques and efficient management of these conditions.

Spine is a complex and long structure in the human body. Visualization of the spine is essential to treat and manage spine disease and commonly requires further imaging modalities such as computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In most clinical fields, spine CT and MRI examinations are focused on the region of interest. However, spine is composed of cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum and coccyx and sometimes demands examination of entire structure as well as regional spine depending on disease, patient’s state and physician’s decision. This review considers the available literature to describe when and how full length spine evaluation by CT and MRI is applied according to each spinal disease such as spinal trauma, deformity, infection, axial spondyloarthropathy and metastatic tumor.
