Implementing a new energy-saving electrochemical synthesis system with high commercial value is a strategy of the sustainable development for upgrading the bulk chemicals preparation technology in the ***,we report a multiple redox-mediated linear paired electrolysis system,combining the hydrogen peroxide mediated cathode process with the I2 mediated anode process,and realize the conversion of furfural to furoic acid in both side of the dividedﬂow cell *** reasonably controlling the cathode potential,the undesired water splitting reaction and furfural reduction side reactions are *** the galvanostatic electrolysis,the two-mediated electrode processes have good compatibility,which reduce the energy consumption by about 22%while improving the electronic efﬁciency by about 125%.This system provides a green electrochemical synthesis route with commercial prospects.

We investigate the peak structure in the interlayer conductance of Moirésuperlattices using a tunneling theory wedeveloped *** theoretical results predict that,due to the resonance of two different partial waves,the doublepeakstructure can appear in the curve of the interlayer conductance versus twist ***,we study the influencesof the model parameters,i.e.,the chemical potential of electrodes,the thickness of Moirésuperlattice,and the strength ofinterface potential,on the peak structure of the interlayer *** particular,the parameter dependence of the peakstructure is concluded via a phase diagram,and the physical meanings of the phase diagram is ***,thepotential applications of the present work is discussed.

In this work,we propose porous fluororubber/thermoplastic urethane nanocomposites(PFTNs)and explore their intrinsic piezoresistive sensitivity to *** experiments reveal that the intrinsic sensitivity of the PFTN-based sensor to pressure up to 10 kPa increases up to 900%compared to the porous thermoplastic urethane nanocomposite(PTN)counterpart and up to 275%compared to the porous fluororubber nanocomposite(PFN)*** pressures exceeding 10 kPa,the resistance-pressure relationship of PFTN follows a logarithmic function,and the sensitivity is 221%and 125%higher than that of PTN and PFN,*** the excellent intrinsic sensitivity of the thick PFTN film,a single sensing unit with integrated electrode design can imitate human skin for touch detection,pressure perception and traction *** sensing range of our multimodal tactile sensor reaches~150 Pa,and it exhibits a linear fit over 97%for both normal pressure and shear *** also demonstrate that an electronic skin,made of an array of sensing units,is capable of accurately recognizing complex tactile interactions including pinch,spread,and tweak motions.

Apple replant disease(ARD)negatively affects plant growth and reduces yields in replanted *** this study,biochar was applied to apple replant soil with Fusarium *** aim was to investigate whether biochar could promote plant growth and alleviate apple replant disease by reducing the growth of harmful soil microorganisms,changing soil microbial community structure and improving the soil *** experiment included five treatments:apple replant soil(CK),methyl bromide fumigation apple replant soil(FM),replant soil with biochar addition(2%),replant soil with *** spore solution(8×10^(7)spores·mL^(-1)),and replant soil with biochar and *** spore solution *** biomass,the activity of antioxidant enzymes in the leaves and roots,and soil environmental variables were *** community composition and community structure were analyzed using 16SrDNA and ITS2 gene *** significantly reduced the abundance of *** and increased soil microbial diversity and *** also increased the soil enzyme activities(urease,invertase,neutral phosphatase,and catalase),the biomass(plant height,fresh weight,dry weight)and the activity of antioxidant enzymes(superoxide dismutase,peroxidase,and catalase).The root indexes of apple seedlings was also increased in replant soil by *** sum,biochar promoted the growth of plants,improved the replant soil environment,and alleviated apple replant disease.

Photothermal catalytic oxidation emerges as a promising method for the removal of volatile organic compounds(VOCs).Herein,via sol-gel impregnation method,spinel CuMn_(2)O_(4)was coated on attapulgite honeycombs with integrating biochar(BC)film as the second carrier,using chestnut shell as complexation *** mass ratios of CuMn_(2)O_(4)to chestnut shell was modulated to investigate the catalytic toluene degradation *** indicated that the monolithic CuMn_(2)O_(4)/BC/honeycomb catalyst demonstrated superior photothermal catalytic toluene degradation with a low T90(temperature at 90%degradation)of 263°C when the mass ratio of CuMn_(2)O_(4)to biomass was 1:*** addition of BC film substantially increased the honeycomb's specific surface area and improved the photothermal conversion of spinel,leading to enhanced photothermal catalytic *** study presents a cost-effective strategy for eliminating industrial VOCs using clay-biomass based monolithic catalyst.

The conversion of waste polylactic acid(PLA)plastics into high-value-added chemicals through electrochemical methods is a promising and sustainable ***,developing efficient and highly selective catalysts for lactic acid oxidation reaction(LAOR)and understanding the reaction process are ***,we report the electrooxidation of waste PLA to acetate at a high current density of 100 mA cm-2 with high Faraday efficiency(~95%)and excellent stability(>100 h)over a nickel selenide nanosheet *** addition,a total Faraday efficiency of up to 190%was achieved for carboxylic acids,including acetic acid and formic acid,by coupling with the cathodic CO_(2) reduction *** situ experimental results and theoretical simulations revealed that the catalytic activity center of LAOR was dynamically formed NiOOH species,and the surface-adsorbed SeO_(x) species accelerated the formation of Ni~(3+)species,thus promoting catalytic *** mechanism of lactic acid electrooxidation was further *** acid was dehydrogenated to produce pyruvate first and then formed CH_3CO due to preferential C-C bond cleavage,resulting in the presence of *** work demonstrated a sustainable method for recycling waste PLA and CO_(2) into high-value-added products.
