Deep learning framework for comprehensive molecular and prognostic stratifications of triple-negative breast cancer

Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is the most challenging breast cancer *** stratification and target therapy bring clinical benefit for TNBC patients,but it is difficult to implement comprehensive molecular testing in clinical ***,using our multi-omics TNBC cohort(N=425),a deep learning-based framework was devised and validated for comprehensive predictions of molecular features,subtypes and prognosis from pathological whole slide *** framework first incorporated a neural network to decompose the tissue on WSIs,followed by a second one which was trained based on certain tissue types for predicting different ***-omics molecular features were analyzed including somatic mutations,copy number alterations,germline mutations,biological pathway activities,metabolomics features and immunotherapy *** was shown that the molecular features with therapeutic implications can be predicted including the somatic PIK3CA mutation,germline BRCA2 mutation and PD-L1 protein expression(area under the curve[AUC]:0.78,0.79 and 0.74 respectively).The molecular subtypes of TNBC can be identified(AUC:0.84,0.85,0.93 and 0.73 for the basal-like immune-suppressed,immunomodulatory,luminal androgen receptor,and mesenchymal-like subtypes respectively)and their distinctive morphological patterns were revealed,which provided novel insights into the heterogeneity of TNBC.A neural network integrating image features and clinical covariates stratified patients into groups with different survival outcomes(log-rank P<0.001).Our prediction framework and neural network models were externally validated on the TNBC cases from TCGA(N=143)and appeared robust to the changes in patient *** potential clinical translation,we built a novel online platform,where we modularized and deployed our framework along with the validated *** can realize real-time one-stop prediction for new *** summary,using only pathological WSIs,our proposed framework

An efficient numerical shape analysis for light weight membrane structures

The determination of initial equilibrium shapes is a common problem in research work and engineering applications related to membrane structures. Using a general structural analysis framework of the finite particle method （FPM）, this paper presents the first application of the FPM and a recently-developed membrane model to the shape analysis of light weight mem- branes. The FPM is rooted in vector mechanics and physical viewpoints. It discretizes the analyzed domain into a group of parti- cles linked by elements, and the motion of the free particles is directly described by Newton＇s second law while the constrained ones follow the prescribed paths. An efficient physical modeling procedure of handling geometric nonlinearity has been developed to evaluate the particle interaction forces. To achieve the equilibrium shape as fast as possible, an integral-form, explicit time integration scheme has been proposed for solving the equation of motion. The equilibrium shape can be obtained naturally without nonlinear iterative correction and global stiffness matrix integration. Two classical curved surfaces of tension membranes pro- duced under the uniform-stress condition are presented to verify the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method.

Resource allocation for D2D-assisted haptic communications

Haptic communications is recognized as a promising enabler of extensive services by enabling real-time haptic control and feedback in remote environments,e.g.,teleoperation and autonomous *** the strict transmission requirements on reliability and latency,Device-to-Device(D2D)communications is introduced to assist haptic *** particular,the teleoperators with poor channel quality are assisted by auxiliaries,and each auxiliary and its corresponding teleoperator constitute a D2D ***,the haptic interaction and the scarcity of radio resources pose severe challenges to the resource allocation,especially facing the sporadic packet ***,the contentionbased access scheme is applied to achieve low-latency transmission,where the resource scheduling latency is omitted and users can directly access available *** this context,we derive the reliability index of D2D pairs under the contention-based access scheme,i.e.,closed-loop packet error ***,the reliability performance is guaranteed by bidirectional power control,which aims to minimize the sum packet error probability of all D2D *** game theory is introduced to solve the problem with low ***,a distributed power control algorithm based on synchronous log-linear learning is proposed to converge to the optimal Nash *** results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed learning algorithm.

This letter proposes a reliable transfer learning(RTL)method for pre-fault dynamic security assessment(DSA)in power systems to improve DSA performance in the presence of potentially related unknown *** takes individual discrepancies into consideration and can handle unknown faults with incomplete *** experiment results demonstrate high DSA accuracy and computational efficiency of the proposed RTL *** analysis shows RTL can guarantee system performance.

Injection of a Self-propelled Polymer into a Small Circular Cavity

The injection of a polymer chain into a small circular cavity under tangential self-propelled force is studied by using Langevin dynamics *** indicate that the injection dynamics of the active polymer shows strong correlation with the polymer conformation inside the cavity depending on the polymer rigidity(k_(b)).The injection timeτvaries nonmonotonously with increasing k_(b),and reaches its minimum at k_(b)^(*).When k_(b) is small(k_(b)≪k_(b)^(*)),the polymer is nearly random coil in the cavity,and spends a long time at the final stage of the injection process due to the large repulsion between monomers inside the *** k_(b) is moderate(k_(b)∼k_(b)^(*)),the part of polymer inside the cavity forms spiral configuration under the tangential active force,and the whole polymer moves synchronously with a constant velocity during the injection process,leading to a small injection *** k_(b) is large(k_(b)≫k_(b)^(*)),the polymer is nearly straight at the initial stage of the injection process,and takes a long time to bend itself,leading to a large injection time.

Insights into Formation and Li-Storage Mechanisms of Hierarchical Accordion-Shape Orthorhombic CuNb2O6 toward Lithium-Ion Capacitors as an Anode-Active Material

The orthorhombic CuNb2O6（O-CNO） is established as a competitive anode for lithium-ion capacitors（LICs） owing to its attractive compositional/structural ***,the high-temperature synthesis（>900 ℃） and controversial charge-storage mechanism always limit its ***,we develop a low-temperature strategy to fabricate a nano-blocksconstructed hierarchical accordional O-CNO framework by employing multilayered Nb2CTxas the niobium *** intrinsic stress-induced formation/transformation mechanism of the monoclinic CuNb2O6to O-CNO is tentatively put ***,the integrated phase conversion and solid solution lithium-storage mechanism is reasonably unveiled with comprehensive in（ex） situ *** to its unique structural merits and lithium-storage process,the resulted O-CNO anode is endowed with a large capacity of 150.3 mAh g-1at 2.0 A g-1,along with longduration cycling ***,the constructed O-CNO-based LICs exhibit a high energy(138.9 Wh kg-1) and power(4.0 kW kg-1) densities with a modest cycling stability（15.8% capacity degradation after 3000consecutive cycles）.More meaningfully,the in-depth insights into the formation and charge-storage process here can promote the extensive development of binary metal Nb-based oxides for advanced LICs.

Construction of MTX-CS-TMP-NPs Nano-drug Delivery System and its Observation on Telomerase Activity of Cervical Cancer Hela Cells

Objective:To construct methotrexate(MTX)-chitosan(CS)-chuanxiongmuizine(TMP)nano-delivery system MTX-CS-TMP-NPs,and to investigate its effect on the telomerase activity of cervical cancer Hela ***:MTX-CS and MTX-CS-TMP-NPs were prepared by amide reaction and ionic gel method,and the encapsulation rate and drug loading rate were *** method and TRAP method were used to detect Hela cells and telomerase activity,and to compare the difference of telomerase activity of MTX,MTX-CS,and MTX-CS-TMP-NPs on cervical cancer Hela ***:In this study,the total amount of TMP was 150μg,of which the amount of free TMP was(26.46±1.72)μg,the encapsulation rate of TMP was(82.36±0.01)%,and the drug loading was(17.62±0.23)*** activity of Hela cells increased with the extension of time,and the OD value of Hela cell activity(1.24±0.05)was lower than that of the other three groups at 72 h of treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The telomerase activity of He La cells in the MTX-CS-TMP-NPs solution treatment group was(0.23±0.12)%lower than that of the other three groups,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:MTX-CS-TMP-NPs may effectively reduce the activity and telomerase activity of cervical cancer Hela cells,showing its potential anti-cervical cancer effect.

The influence of a mechanical structure's volume increment on the volume power density (VPD) of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) is often neglected when considering surface charge density and surface power density. This paper aims to address this gap by introducing a standardized VPD metric for a more comprehensive evaluation of TENG performance. The study specifically focuses on 2 frequency-up mechanisms, namely, the integration of planetary gears (PG-TENG) and the implementation of a double-cantilever structure (DC-TENG), to investigate their impact on VPD. The study reveals that the PG-TENG achieves the highest volume average power density, measuring at 0.92 W/m^(3). This value surpasses the DC-TENG by 1.26 times and the counterpart TENG by a magnitude of 69.9 times. Additionally, the PG-TENG demonstrates superior average power output. These findings introduce a new approach for enhancing TENGs by incorporating frequency-up mechanisms, and highlight the importance of VPD as a key performance metric for evaluating TENGs.
