To the Editor:As acute coronary syndromes(ACS)is common causes of morbidity and mortality in China,they serve as an important case example to assess the impact of these health reforms on the quality,safety,and efficiency of healthcare.[1]ACS comprises a wide spectrum of disease subgroups,including ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI),unstable angina(UA),and non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(NSTEMI).Previous studies have shown increases in the intensity of testing and treatment while stable in-hospital mortality for STEMI in China between 2001 and 2011.[2]As non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome(NSTE-ACS)patients,who account for about two-thirds of ACS patients,have a wide spectrum of disease severity,risk-stratified management is recommended to ensure appropriate allocation of resources,especially in limited-resource settings of *** limited data exist on the use of medical services and clinical outcomes in relation to health reforms,we aimed to determine temporal trends in diagnosis,treatment,and outcome for hospitalized NSTE-ACS patients in three regions of China between 2008 and 2015.

差热分析法测定多元醇的比热

利用差示扫描量热计测定了乙二醇、丙二醇、丁二醇和叔丁醇在不同温度范围内的比热.为了验证仪器的准确性,实验测定二次蒸馏水在20～80℃的比热,并与文献值进行了对比.测定水时仪器测量误差在2%以内,并且把测得的各种醇的比热与文献值进行了对比,比热测量值的精度完全能满足工程计算的要求.同时回归出了它们的Cp随温度的变化关系,可供工程计算中参考.

MET receptor tyrosine kinase promotes the generation of functional synapses in adult cortical circuits

Loss of synapse and functional connectivity in brain circuits is associated with aging and neurodegeneration,however,few molecular mechanisms are known to intrinsically promote synaptogenesis or enhance synapse *** have previously shown that MET receptor tyrosine kinase in the developing cortical circuits promotes dendritic growth and dendritic spine *** investigate whether enhancing MET in adult cortex has synapse regenerating potential,we created a knockin mouse line,in which the human MET gene expression and signaling can be turned on in adult(10–12 months)cortical neurons through doxycycline-containing *** found that similar to the developing brain,turning on MET signaling in the adult cortex activates small GTPases and increases spine density in prefrontal projection *** findings are further corroborated by increased synaptic activity and transient generation of immature silent *** MET signaling resulted in an increasedα-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid/N-methyl-Daspartate(AMPA/NMDA)receptor current ratio,indicative of enhanced synaptic function and *** data reveal that enhancing MET signaling could be an interventional approach to promote synaptogenesis and preserve functional connectivity in the adult *** findings may have implications for regenerative therapy in aging and neurodegeneration conditions.

Background:Accurate prediction of ischemic stroke is required for deciding anticoagulation use in patients with atrial fibrillation(AF).Even though only 6%to 8%of AF patients die from stroke,about 90%are indicated for anticoagulants according to the current AF management ***,we aimed to develop an accurate and easy-to-use new risk model for 1-year thromboembolic events(TEs)in Chinese AF ***:From the prospective China Atrial Fibrillation Registry cohort study,we identified 6601 AF patients who were not treated with anticoagulation or ablation at *** selected the most important variables by the extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)algorithm and developed a simplified risk model for predicting 1-year *** novel risk score was internally validated using bootstrapping with 1000 replicates and compared with the CHA2DS2-VA score(excluding female sex from the CHA2DS2-VASc score).Results:Up to the follow-up of 1 year,163 TEs(ischemic stroke or systemic embolism)*** the XGBoost algorithm,we selected the three most important variables(congestive heart failure or left ventricular dysfunction,age,and prior stroke,abbreviated as CAS model)to predict 1-year TE *** trained a multivariate Cox regression model and assigned point scores proportional to model *** CAS scheme classified 30.8%(2033/6601)of the patients as low risk for TE(CAS score=0),with a corresponding 1-year TE risk of 0.81%(95%confidence interval[CI]:0.41%–1.19%).In our cohort,the C-statistic of CAS model was 0.69(95%CI:0.65–0.73),higher than that of CHA2DS2-VA score(0.66,95%CI:0.62–0.70,Z=2.01,P=0.045).The overall net reclassification improvement from CHA2DS2-VA categories(low=0/high≥1)to CAS categories(low=0/high≥1)was 12.2%(95%CI:8.7%–15.7%).Conclusion:In Chinese AF patients,a novel and simple CAS risk model better predicted 1-year TEs than the widely-used CHA2DS2-VA risk score and identified a large proportion of patients with low risk of TEs,which

Positive effect of Mo on mechanical properties of a Ni-42W-10Co-x Mo medium heavy alloy

In this study,a novel Ni-W-Co-Mo medium heavy alloy (MHA) was designed to improve its mechanical strength via Mo *** the Ni-42W-10Co-xM o alloy series,where x represents the weight percent of Mo and varies between 0,1,2,5,and 10,the microstructure transitions from a dendritic structure to a hypoeutectic structure as the Mo content increases from 0 to 5wt.%.Moreover,as the Mo content increases from 0to 10wt.%,the distribution of theμ-phase shifts from being individually dispersed to forming aggregates,and its volume fraction rises from 0.5%to 7.9%.Notably,theμ-phase evolves into an eutectic microstructure,which helps in minimizing the segregation of *** change is accompanied by a substantial enhancement in mechanical properties;specifically,the compressive yield strength at room temperature increases from 350 MPa to 646 MPa,indicating a significant 85%***,the microhardness increases from 230 HV to 304 *** dynamics simulations further reveal that the strengthening mechanism of Ni-42W-10Co-xM o alloys is Mo-induced solid solution strengthening and precipitation strengthening.

＜正＞Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation（PAF） is a common problem in clinical and a high risk factor to our cardiovascular and cerebrovascular ***,its prediction is more important than ever due to the high morbidity of hypertension and coronary heart *** this article,authors summarized predictors of PAF with an object table which from electrophysiology such as signal-averaged ECG - P ware duration（SAECG-PWD or PWD-PII） and P-ware dispersion（Pd）,echocardiography such as left atrial diameter（LAD） and left ventricular ejection fraction（LVEF）,to biomarkers "ABC",which are Albumin or atrial natriuretic peptide（ANP）,brain natriuretic peptide（BNP） and C-reactive protein（CRP） or carbohydrate antigen 125（CA 125,pending）.Definitely,these predictors are helpful to clinical staffs to predict PAF in their practical ***,ideal predictors should meet not only such "golden criteria": objective,reliable,noninvasive,simple and easy to measure,available and cheap,but also seek their diversity. The management of acute ischemic stroke remains challenging due to its abrupt onset and the narrow treatment window,resulting in high rates of disability and *** therapy for neuroprotection and neurorepair strategies provided new hopes for subacute stroke *** we designed a multistage nanodelivery system that matches the unique microenvironment of the subacute phase of stroke,which utilizes calixarene as a building block to effectively load the neuroprotective drug *** calixarene is designed with glycosidic linkages targeting the glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1)on the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and azo bonds that are responsive to hypoxic ***,the decomposed calixarene molecules themselves possess intrinsic bio-activation to modulate inflammatory responses,achieving a multistage therapeutic approach that transitions from targeting to release and finally to *** approach combines anti-inflammation and neuroprotection,providing a multi-level treatment *** system was validated in a rat model of permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion (pMCAO),demonstrating that intravenous administration of the nanodelivery system repairs brain damage and improves motor function 24 h post-pMCAO *** work offers a precise and integrative strategy for stroke patients missing the acute therapy window to improve functional recovery and enhance the effect of comprehensive treatment.
