This work presents a new greener alternative for biocondensation of aldehydes and indoles for the synthesis of bis- and tris(indolyl)methanes catalyzed by lemon juice (Citrus limon) in good yields under ultrasound irradiation in aqueous ethanol. Various substituted aldehydes with indoles under this reaction condition are elucidated. Also, tetraindolyl compounds were prepared using terephthaldialdehyde by following the same protocol. This method is an environmentally benign, efficient reaction, which requires shorter reaction time and simple experimental and work-up procedures.

The Metal Matrix Composites application has increased in many areas of science and technology, because of its additional physical, wear and mechanical properties. In comparison with all MMC’s, aluminum-based MMC’s are finding wide applications due to their better strength to weight ratio, better stiffness, and high thermal conductivity as well as very good wear and corrosion properties. The properties of a composite mainly depend on better distribution of reinforcement in the matrix, which is very difficult to achieve. Basically Redmud is a byproduct of alumina, and it is waste product obtained during Bayer’s process. This waste product must be recycled else it may be dangerous to the environment. Redmud can be used as reinforcement for aluminium composites in order to achieve better properties. The proposed research work includes preparation of Aluminum 6061-Red mud metal matrix composites using liquid metallurgy route following stir casting technique. An alloy Al6061 containing 0.60 percent silicon and Magnesium of 0.82 percent was used as the matrix material. Two different compositions of the Aluminum 6061-Red mud composites are prepared in addition to the base matrix and evaluated for mechanical properties also the force acting on the cutting tool at different spindle speeds during machining of the composite materials were analyzed.

A metal matrix composite constitutes a continuous metallic matrix and a discontinuous phase known as reinforcement. The hybrid metal matrix composites (Hmmcs) have been used to manufacture drive shafts, disc brake rotors, brake drums, connecting rods pistons, engine block cylinder liners for automotive and rail vehicle applications. The Hmmcs castings of diameter 120 mm and length 300 mm were prepared through sand mould technique following stir casting methodology. The cast components further subjected to evaluation of physical properties and machining tests using two grades of coated inserts and PCD inserts. The experiments were carried out following ISO 3685 standards. The coating thickness of the TiN coated and TiAlN coated inserts were measured using Kalo testing method; the results of the test show that the interface of the substrate and coating was free from the porosity, and the coating thickness of TiN coating was 4.84 microns and TiAlN coating was measured 4.6 microns. The results of the experiments show that performance of the PCD insert was better than coated inserts at 0.1 mm/rev feed; however at 0.2 mm/revolution feed PCD insert failed by micro chipping of cutting edge while ma

Imidacloprid is a newly introduced broad-spectrum chloronicotinyl insecticide and will find its way in agricultural production, particularly in Asia. However, information on the fate of imidacloprid in crop plants is lacking. The degradation of imidaclopnd in processed CTC tea and tea liquor was investigated in the present study in which imidacloprid was applied at recommended application rate （30.0 g a.i./ha） and twice the recommended application rate （60.0 g a.i./ha） for three consecutive seasons. Imidacloprid was rapidly dissipated in processed tea following first order reaction kinetics at all application rates and had half-lives of 0.9 1-1.16 d with the residue in tea liquor found to be below detectable limit on 3rd day samples. The study revealed that imidacloprid is safe for human consumption and will not pose any residual toxicity problem.

Aqueous starfruit juice catalyzed a simple and efficient Knoevenagel condensation of aromatic aldehydes with malononitrile has been developed under visible light. Products were obtained in yields up to 98% after short reaction times and they were isolated by simple filtration in pure crystallization states. The method is green and economically viable. A plausible mechanism for photochemical Knoevenagel condensation reaction catalyzed by starfruit juice was also predicted.

From the evolution of the mankind, Turmeric has been used in conventional medication. India is in lead for producing, marketing and exporting the Turmeric and its value added products. Curcuma longa (Turmeric) is an Indian rhizomatous medicinal herb from the Zingiberaceae family that is common and widely available across the globe. The components of Turmeric are curcumin, demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin and these are collectively known as curcuminoids. Curcumin, the active ingredient of Turmeric is generally investigated by the scientific community for its wide range of antioxidant activity, anti-Inflammatory properties and anti-cancer activity, anti-metabolic syndrome activities, neuroprotective activity, antimicrobial effects, anti-arthritis effects, anti-viral effects, anti-asthma and anti-diabetic effects, anti-obesity, cardio and liver toxicity protection activity, anti-depression and anxiety activities. Turmeric has been widely used as a typical household treatment for cough, sore throat, respiratory ailments and could be an effective immunity booster against SARS-CoV-2 therapy during the ongoing pandemic situation. Safety evaluation studies indicate that both turmeric and curcumin are well tolerated at a very high dose without any toxic effects. Thus, turmeric and its constituents have the potential for the development of modern medicine for the treatment of various diseases. So in this review, we describe the various metabolic roles of curcumin and activities for the benefit of human health.

Study the Synthesis Parameter of Tin Oxide Nanostructure

In this article, the effect of synthesis parameters on structural properties of SnO2 nanowire by thermal evaporation process, have been studied. The nanostructures are characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Transmission electron microscopy and X-ray spectroscopy. By X-ray diffraction pattern, synthesized SnO2 nanowire were found to be crystalline rutile SnO2. We studied the effect of synthesis parameters such as the deposition temperature, distance variation of the substrate from precursor on the structure of our synthesized nanowires. It was found that their growth was governed by vapor-liquid-solid mechanism (VLS) because of using Sn self catalyst. In this mechanism, the Sn droplet deposited serve as preferred sites for the growth of SnO2 nanowire.

In this paper, we have deposited microstructure (straight wire like shape some time name as fiber) of tin oxide on silicon substrate by simplest known technique thermal evaporation. It is observed that these fibers have same property like tin oxide material (nanowire) and size were approximate in micron. Diamond peak found in X-ray diffraction patter in toward higher glancing angle. Observed tin oxide fibers were characterized by using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and optical property have been measure by ultra violet visible diffuse reflection spectroscopy.
