The level structure of the double-magic nucleus ^(34)Si(Z=14,N=20)was investigated by evaluating the available *** the basis of experimental results from the beta-decay and fusion-evaporation reactions,we established the level scheme by assigning spin-parities up to 6_(1)^(+)at 6233 *** high energy positions of the excited states are consistent with the magicity at ^(34)Si,such as the 2_(2)^(+)state of the spherical ground band at 4.519 MeV and the 3^(-),4^(-),and 5^(-)states of the one-particle one-hole cross-shell states at approximately 4.5 *** nucleus,for a long time,has attracted much attention because of,on one side,a proton bubble structure in the ground state and,on the other side,a deformation in the second 0^(+)state,0_(2)^(+).By a comparison of the constructed level scheme with the shell model calculations,we describe the emerging structures in the ground and second 0+states and the negative-parity 3^(-)states within the framework of the shell model *** propose a deformed rotational band with the cascading 6_(2)^(+)−4_(1)^(+)−2_(1)^(+)transitions built on the 0_(2)^(+)state.

This study developed an appropriate ground cooling system that can be used for indoor cooling during summers in rural houses in northeastern *** apply this system,a traditional rural house was selected and a heat exchanger was designed(PE pipe,32 m in length),manufactured,and installed according to the cooling load(2206 kJ/h)of one room of the experimental *** to the experiment,the temperature of Room 1 equipped with the cooling system was 3℃ lower than that of Room 2 without the ground cooling system during the same time *** temperature reduction effect of this system was confirmed through this *** the ground cooling system was used in rural houses in Northeast China,it was found that a burial depth of 1.5-2.0 m for the ground heat exchanger is appropriate for considering workability and frost *** use of the ground cooling system for indoor cooling during summers for rural houses in the northeastern region of China would reduce not only environmental pollution and the use of fossil fuels but also ease farmers off a certain amount of financial burden.

Multilayer Strategy for Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Generation:New Electrode Architecture that Alleviates Multiple Bottlenecks

Background: Communication is an essential element in nursing practice. Patients expressed low satisfaction at communication with nurses. Nursing students feel pressured on communication with patients and are not properly prepared to effectively communicate with the patients. Even newly graduated nurses also present communication with patients as the most difficult job in nursing practice. Hence communication skills should be learned and well trained throughout the college education in order to utilize the skills properly in clinical practice. Peer-evaluation in learning has been identified as an effective method in diverse populations of students from elementary students to adults. In addition, it has been demonstrated that peer-evaluation was useful to understand communication problems with patients in a sample of medical doctors. Peer-evaluation can improve learning motivation as well as communication skills of students. Among the visual audio devices, a video is the fastest method to facilitate comprehensive memory that leads to transmit learning. It has also been known as an effective method to develop a rapport with a patient and improve communication skills of health care practitioners. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effects of video based peer-evaluation on communication skills and learning motivation in nursing students. Methods: A non-equivalent control with pre-posttest design was used. The participants were 47 sophomore nursing students who enrolled in a course of fundamental nursing at a nursing college in South Korea in the Fall semester of 2008. Their grade point averages（GPA） were used to assign them to one of the groups;those with even numbers of GPA ranks were assigned to the intervention group and odd numbers to the control group. Years of research have demonstrated that the use of multiple components is essential to the development of a commercial photoelectrode to address specific bottlenecks,such as low charge separation and injection efficiency,low carrier diffusion length and lifetime,and poor durability.A facile strategy for the synthesis of multilayered photoanodes from atomic-layer-deposited ultrathin films has enabled a new type of electrode architecture with a total multilayer thickness of 15–17 *** illustrate the advantages of this electrode architecture by using nanolayers to address different bottlenecks,thus producing a multilayer photoelectrode with improved interface kinetics and shorter electron transport path,as determined by interface *** photocurrent density was twice that of the bare structure and reached a maximum of 33.3±2.1 mA cm^(−2) at 1.23 *** integrated overall water-splitting cell consisting of an electrocatalytic NiS cathode and Bi_(2)S_(3)/NiS/NiFeO/TiO_(2) photoanode was used for precious-metal-free seawater splitting at a cell voltage of 1.23 V without *** results and root analyses suggest that the distinctive advantages of the electrode architecture,which are superior to those of bulk bottom-up core–shell and hierarchical architectures,originate from the high density of active sites and nanometer-scale layer thickness,which enhance the suitability for interface-oriented energy conversion processes.

This paper focuses on a new optimization problem, which is called ''The Multiple Container Packing Problem (MCPP)" and proposes a new evolutionary approach for it. The proposed evolutionary approach uses ''Adaptive Link Adjustment Evolutionary Algorithm (ALA-EA)" as a basic framework and it incorporates a heuristic local improvement approach into ALA-EA. The first step of the local search algorithm is to raise empty space through the exchange among the packed items and then to improve the fitness value through packing unpacked items into the raised empty space. The second step is to exchange the packed items and the unpacked items one another toward improving the fitness value. The proposed algorithm is compared to the previous evolutionary approaches at the bench- mark instances (with the same container capacity) and the modifled benchmark instances (with different container capacity) and that the algorithm is proved to be superior to the previous evolutionary approaches in the solution quality.

Synergistic immunotherapy of immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) and immunogenic cell death (ICD) has shown remarkable therapeutic efficacy in various cancers. However, patients show low response rates and undesirable outcomes to these combination therapies owing to the recycling mechanism of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) and the systemic toxicity of ICD-inducing chemotherapeutic drugs. Herein, we propose all-in-one glycol chitosan nanoparticles (CNPs) that can deliver anti-PD-L1 peptide (PP) and doxorubicin (DOX) to targeted tumor tissues for a safe and more effective synergistic immunotherapy. The PP-CNPs, which are prepared by conjugating ᴅ-form PP (NYSKPTDRQYHF) to CNPs, form stable nanoparticles that promote multivalent binding with PD-L1 proteins on the targeted tumor cell surface, resulting in effective lysosomal PD-L1 degradation in contrast with anti-PD-L1 antibody, which induces recycling of endocytosed PD-L1. Consequently, PP-CNPs prevent subcellular PD-L1 recycling and eventually destruct immune escape mechanism in CT26 colon tumor-bearing mice. Moreover, the ICD inducer, DOX is loaded into PP-CNPs (DOX-PP-CNPs) for synergistic ICD and ICB therapy, inducing a large number of damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) in targeted tumor tissues with minimal toxicity in normal tissues. When the DOX-PP-CNPs are intravenously injected into CT26 colon tumor-bearing mice, PP and DOX are efficiently delivered to the tumor tissues via nanoparticle-derived passive and active targeting, which eventually induce both lysosomal PD-L1 degradation and substantial ICD, resulting in a high rate of complete tumor regression (CR: 60%) by a strong antitumor immune response. Collectively, this study demonstrates the superior efficacy of synergistic immunotherapy using all-in-one nanoparticles to deliver PP and DOX to targeted tumor tissues.

The aim of this study was to determine the impact that age and comorbidity status have on both overall and bladder cancer-specific survival of bladder cancer patients. We obtained medical information pertaining to a population of 528 patients with newly diagnosed bladder cancer from Chung-Ang University Hospital cancer registry. The Adult Comorbidity Evaluation-27 （ACE-27） test, which has been previously validated in adult cancer patients, was used to assess comorbidity. We evaluated differences in the demographic and clinical characteristics of included patients, as well as differences in the treatments they received after categorizing them by age. The median age at the time of bladder cancer diagnosis of the entire cohort was 63 years, and the median follow-up time was 97 months. Of the 528 patients who were included in our study, 303 had at least one comorbid condition and 249 died during the follow-up period. When patients were stratified by age, we found that older patients had a higher proportion of severe comorbidities （P 〈 0.01） than younger patients, and that a lower proportion of them underwent radical cystec- tomy for invasive bladder cancer （IBC）（P 〈 0.01）. By multivariate analysis, we found that older age was predictive of lower overall survival （OS） and bladder cancer-specific survival （BCSS） rates among patients with superficial bladder cancer （SBC） and of lower OS rates among patients with IBC. We also found that moderate-severe comorbidity status and treatment through a bladder-conserving approach were predictive of lower OS and cancer-specific survival rates among patients with IBC. The disparity between overall deaths and bladder cancer deaths was shown in SBC and increased along with age and higher comorbidity. Age and comorbidity were found to be independent predictive factors of OS and BCSS among bladder cancer patients, and explained the disparity that we observed between overall bladder cancer-specific mortality rates.

The development of Vehicular Ad-hoc Network(VANET)technology is helping Intelligent Transportation System(ITS)services to become a *** can use VANETs to communicate safety messages on the road(while driving)and can inform their location and share road condition information in ***,intentional and unintentional(e.g.,packet/frame collision)wireless signal jamming can occur,which will degrade the quality of communication over the channel,preventing the reception of safety messages,and thereby posing a safety hazard to the vehicle’s *** this paper,VANET jamming detection applying Support Vector Machine(SVM)machine learning technology is used to classify jamming and non-jamming *** analysis is based on two cases which include normal traffic and heavy traffic conditions,where the results show that the probability of packet dropping will increase when many vehicles are using the wireless channel *** using SVM classification,the most appropriate feature set applied in determining a jamming situation shows an accuracy of 98%or ***,more advanced jamming attacks need to be considered for preparation of more reliable and safer autonomous ITS *** research can use vehicular communication transmission and reception data based on selected published *** this paper,an additional adversarial defense algorithm using the Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise(DBSCAN)method is proposed,which assumes that evolutionary attacks of the jammer will attempt to confuse the trained *** simulation results show that applying DBSCAN can improve the accuracy by elimination of outliers before conducting classification testing.
