Durio zibethnus is mainly distributed in Southeast *** chinese medicine believes that durian shells have the effects of clearing heat and purging fire,nourishing yin and moisturizing ***,it is often used as a pharmaceutic food in the chinese folk to assist treating *** present,the chemical constituents isolated from durian shell include phenolic acids,phenolic glycosides,flavonoids,coumarins,triterpenes,simple glycosides and other *** pharmacological studies show that durian shell has many pharmacological activities,such as antioxidant,antiinflammatory,regulation of glucose and lipid *** chemical composition and pharmacological effects of durian shells are summarized in order to provide references for the further research and application of durian shell.

Ni catalysts supported on Al2O3, ZrO2-Al2O3, CeO2-Al2O3 and ZrO2-CeO2-Al2O3 were prepared by coprecipitation method, and their catalytic performances for autothermal reforming of methane to hydrogen were investigated. The Ni-supported catalysts were characterized by XRD, TPR and XPS. The relationship between the structures and catalytic activities of the catalysts was discussed. The results showed that the catalytic activity and stability of the Ni/ZrO2-CeO2-Al2O3 catalyst was better than those of other catalysts with the highest ch4 conversion, H2/CO and H2/COx ratio at 750 ℃. The catalyst showed a little deactivation along the reaction time during its 72 h on stream with the mean deactivation rate of 0.08%/h. The catalytic performance of the Ni/ZrO2-CeO2-Al2O3 catalyst was also affected by reaction temperature, no2 ： nch4 molar ratio and nH2O ： nch4 molar ratio. TPR, XRD and XPS measurements indicated that the formation of ZrO2-CeO2 solid solution could improve the dispersion of NiO, and inhibit the formation of NiAl2O3, and thus significantly promoted the catalytic activity of the Ni/ZrO2-CeO2-Al2O3 catalyst.

Greenhouse gas budget for terrestrial ecosystems in china

Terrestrial ecosystems may act as a source or a sink for the atmospheric greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (ch4), and nitrous oxide (N2O), depending on land use and management. This paper reviews the literature on carbon, ch4, and N2O fluxes from terrestrial ecosystems in china, and analyzes its national greenhouse gas budget. Carbon storage in biomass and soils in chinese terrestrial ecosystems decreased in the past 300 years, due to deforestation and expansion of cultivated land, and reached a minimum in the late 1970s. Since then, carbon storage has increased at an estimated rate of 0.19 to 0.26 Pg C yr-1, mainly owing to reforestation and afforestation. ch4 emission from natural wetlands decreased from 6.65 Tg ch4 yr-1 in 1990 to 5.71 Tg ch4 yr-1 in 2000 owing to the decrease in wetland area. ch4 emission from flooded rice fields was 7.41 Tg ch4 yr-1. At the same time, aerobic soils took up atmospheric ch4 at a rate of 2.56 Tg ch4 yr-1. Nitrous oxide emission from forestlands, grasslands, and farmlands was positively correlated with precipitation at a national scale, and the emission rate was positively correlated with the ch4 uptake rate of forestlands and grasslands (Pchinese terrestrial ecosystems act as a small net sink for global warming potential (GWP), ranging from 0.04 to 0.32 Pg CO2-eq yr-1, in a striking contrast to terrestrial ecosystems globally, which are a source of 2.75 to 6.78 Pg CO2-eq yr-1. The ratios of anthropogenic to natural sources of ch4 and N2O are much larger in chinese terrestrial ecosystems than they are in global averages, reflecting greater human disturbance of terrestrial ecosystems in china.

Background Smoking is a serious public health problem. Patients with schizophrenia usually have a higher prevalence of smoking than the general population, but the level of nicotine dependence is seldom studied, especially for patients living in the communities. Aims This study aimed to examine the level of nicotine dependence in chinese community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia and explored its associated sociodemographic and clinical factors. Methods A total of 621 patients with schizophrenia treated in the primary care centres of Guangzhou were consecutively recruited. The level of nicotine dependence was assessed with the chinese version of the Fagerstrom Test for Nicotine Dependence (FTND). Results 148 patients with schizophrenia were current smokers, and the mean (SD) score of FTND was 5.06 (2.55) for all the current smokers. The prevalence of nicotine addiction was 48.0%(95% Cl: 40.0%-56.0%) in patients with current smoking. The patients with schizophrenia had a significantly higher level of nicotine dependence than the chinese general population. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that male gender, being unemployed, having a family history of psychiatric disorders, having major medical conditions, first illness episode and less severe positive symptoms were significantly associated with a higher level of nicotine dependence. Conclusion Community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia in china, especially male patients, had a higher level of nicotine dependence than the general population.

Concentrations of PCDD/Fs, dioxin-like PCBs as well as six indicator PCBs were determined in animal origin foods collected from Hong Kong retail market during 2008-2010. The dietary intake of an average Hong Kong adult resident was estimated to be 0.806-0.833 pg WHO-TEQ kg^-1 b.w. d^-1 of dioxin-like compounds, lower than the tolerable daily intake introduced by WHO. The 95th percentile consumer were exposed by dietary at the level of 2.72 to 2.81 pg WHO-TEQ kg^-1 b.w. d^-1 or 81.6-84.3 pg WHO-TEQ kg^-1 b.w. month^-1 , higher than 70 pg WHO-TEQ kg t b.w. month^-1. DL-PCBs contributed 49.2% of total TEQ intake. The daily intake of indicator PCB was 2.83 ng kg^-1 b.w. d^-1. Approximately 2/3 of dietary intake of dioxin-like compounds came from sea food products. Ten brands of infant formula products were tested and the potential dietary intake of formula-fed infants of Hong Kong was estimated to be 1.46-1.58 pg WHO-TEQ kg^-1 b.w. d^-1 during 1st month and decreases afterwards.

Boreal forests play an important role in global environment systems. Understanding boreal forest ecosystem structure and function requires accurate monitoring and estimating of forest canopy and biomass. We used partial least square regression （PLSR） models to relate forest parameters, i.e. canopy closure density and above ground tree biomass, to Landsat ETM＋ data. The established models were optimized according to the variable importance for projection （VIP） criterion and the bootstrap method, and their performance was compared using several statistical indices. All variables selected by the VIP criterion passed the bootstrap test （p〈0.05）. The simplified models without insignificant variables （VIP 〈1） performed as well as the full model but with less computation time. The relative root mean square error （RMSE%） was 29% for canopy closure density, and 58% for above ground tree biomass. We conclude that PLSR can be an effective method for estimating canopy closure density and above ground biomass.

To solve the multiple problems of low ionic conductivity,fast capacity decay,and poor cycling performance of Nirich layered cathode materials,LiNi_(0.815)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.035)O_(2)@LiFePO_(4)@LiMn_(2)O_(4)(NCA@LFP@LMO,abbreviated as AFM)series cathode materials with different coating ratios were synthesized by a two-step ball milling method and precise control of the mass coating ratio of LFP and *** cathode material of NCA,LFP and LMO with a mass ratio of 8:1:1(A_(8)F_(1)M_(1))presents a more desirable nanocomposite coating and still can deliver a discharge capacity of 151.67 mAh·g^(-1)(with a 94.52%capacity retention)after 200 cycles at 1.0 ***.

The effect of promoter Ce on the catalytic performance of Ni/Al2O3 catalyst for autothermal reforming of methane to hydrogen was investigated. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, temperature-programmed reduction （TPR）, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）. The results indicated that the catalytic performance of the catalysts was improved with the addition of Ce. Ni/Ce30Al70Oδ showed the highest ch4 conversion in operation temperatures ranging from 650 ℃ to 850 ℃. At the same time, the decrease in H2/CO ratio with increasing reaction temperature was consistent with the fact that water-gas shift reaction was thermodynamically unfavorable at higher temperatures. The XRD result indicated that adding Ce to Ni/Al2O3 catalyst prevented the formation of NiAl2O4 and facilitated the formation of NiO. The formation of NiO increased the number of active sites, resulting in higher activity. Comparing the TPR profiles of Ni/Ce30Al70Oδ with Ni/Al2O3, it could be clearly observed that with the addition of Ce, the total reduction peak areas in the middle and low temperatures increased. It was most probably that the addition of Ce inhibited the stronger interaction between Ni and Al2O3 to form the phase of NiAl2O4, and favored the formation of the strong interaction between NiO species and CeO2. Therefore, the addition of Ce to the Ni/Al2O3 catalyst increased the active surface that promoted the activity of the catalyst.
