The recovery of yttrium.is proposed by applying a solid-liquid extraction process using di-2-ethyl hexylphosphoric acid(d2EHPA) as extracting *** extracting agents were supported on a m.cro porous polym.ric resin XAd-7(solid phase).Yttrium.ions extraction and discharge tests were perform.d,firstly from.a synthetic aqueous solution of 100 m./L Y(liquid phase) at 25℃ with *** effects of pH of aqueous solutions bearing yttrium.volum. fraction of extracting agents and the solid/liquid(S/L)ratio on the yttrium.recovery were *** m.st favorable conditions for yttrium.ions extraction are;20 vol% d_(2)EHPA functionalized resin,pH=1.5 and an S/L ratio of 10 m./m. The discharge of yttrium.ions was done under the sam. conditions of extraction stage,using a 2 m.l/L [H_(2)SO_(4)] as stripping *** to 80% yttrium.is extracted,while 75% yttrium.is recovered in the striping *** all experim.nts,the reaction equilibrium.is reached after 20 m.n,and the kinetics for the extraction stage was determ.ned as a second-order ***,experim.nts were carried out to discharge the yttrium.oaded resins,and it has been determ.ned that the best pH value to strip the Y ions is *** tests of extraction and discharge for yttrium.ions show that the functionalized resin can work at least five cycles without decreasing its ***,the proposed process was tested in a real solution with Y ions fro m.a waste fluorescent la m. powder leached in H_(2)SO_(4),dem.nstrating the ability to effectively recover yttrium.separating it from.various m.tals from.the studied residue.

Ballistic design and testing of a com.osite arm.ur reinforced by CNTs suitable for arm.ured vehicles

This paper is investigating the use of com.osite arm.ur reinforced by nanom.terials, for the protection of light arm.ured(LAV) and m.dium.arm.ured m.litary vehicles(m.V), and the interaction between the com.osite m.terials and high-perform.nce ballistic projectiles. Four arm.ur m.terials, consisted of front hybrid fibre reinforced polym.r cover layer, ceram.c strike-face, fibre reinforced polym.r interm.diate layer and the m.tal m.trix com.osite reinforced backplate, were m.nufactured and assem.led by adhesive technology. The proposed lam.nated protection system.is suitable for arm.ured ground vehicles;however, it could be used as arm.ur on ground, air and naval platform.. The design of the protection system. including m.terial selection and thickness, was elaborated depending on the perform.nce requirem.nts of Level 4 + STANAg 4569 m.litary standard(projectile 14.5 m. × 114 m. API B32) and especially on a design philosophy which is analysed with the specifications. The backplate of this new com.osite is a hybrid m.terial of m.tal m.trix Com.osite(m.C) reinforced with carbon nanotubes(CNTs), m.nufactured with the use of powder m.tallurgy technique. The com.osite backplate m.terial was m.rphologically, m.chanically and chem.cally analysed. Results show that all plates are presenting high m.chanical properties and ballistic characteristics, com.ared to com.only used arm.ur plates. Real m.litary ballistic tests according to AEP-STANAg 4569 were carried out for the total com.osite arm.ur system.. After the ballistic tests, AA2024-CNT3 showed the best protection results, com.ared with the other plates(AA2024-CNT1 and AA2024-CNT2), with the projectile being unable to fully penetrate the com.osite plate.

A series of Ti(Ⅳ) dichloride and dialkoxide com.plexes with phenoxyim.ne ligands containing fluorinated and nonfluorinated aliphatic im.ne fragm.nts have been *** m.lecular structures of com.lexes 1 and 4 were established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction *** com.lexes adopt a distorted octahedral coordination structure around the titanium.atom.and two oxygen atom. are situated in trans position while two nitrogen atom. and two outgoing ligands(Cl or iPrO) are situated in cis *** of activators(m.AO-12 and com.inations Et_nAICl_(3-n)+Bu_(2)m.) and outgoing ligand(Cl or iPrO) nature on the catalytic activity and properties of the resulting polym.rs was *** Ti com.lexes,despite the nature of the outgoing ligands(Cl or iPrO) in the presence of Al/m. activators,was found to display a high ethylene polym.rization activity in the range 1600-3830 kg_(polym.r)·m.l_(Ti)^(-1)·h^(-1)·atm.(-1) with a viscosity average m.lecular weight(m.v) value in the range 1.1×10~6-7.1×10~6 dalton(da).The resulting UHm.PE can be processed by a solventless m.thod into high-strength and high-m.dulus oriented *** rheological characteristics of a polym.r m.lt have been *** absence of a cross-over point did not allow to com.are the values of the m.lecular weight distribution of polym.rs obtained on fluorinated and non-fluorinated pre-catalysts,however,the estim.tion of the entanglem.nt density is in good agreem.nt with the m.chanical characteristics of oriented film.*** activation with m.thylalum.xane,the activity of the com.plexes decreased very significantly;however,a polym.r with a m.lecular weight of about 12 m.llion da was *** the process of ethylene/octene-1 copolym.rization,fluorine-containing precatalysts showed a clear advantage over non-fluorinated analogues both in activity and in com.nom.r content.

A linear electrohydrodynam.c Kelvin-Helm.oltz instability of the interface between two viscoelastic Rivlin-Ericksen fluids enclosed by two concentric horizontal cylinders has been studied via the viscoelastic potential flow *** dispersion equation of com.lex coefficients for asym.etric disturbance has been obtained by using norm.l m.de *** stability criteria are analyzed theoretically and illustrated *** im.ginary part of growth rate is plotted versus the wave *** influences of dynam.c viscoelastic,uniform.velocities,Reynolds num.er,electric field,dynam.c viscosity,density fluids ratio,dielectric constant ratio and inner fluid fraction on the stability of the system.are *** study finds its significance in Ocean pipelines to transfer oil or gas such as Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline.

BaTiO3 solid solutions co-doped with gd3+ and Eu3+:Synthesis,structural evolution and dielectric properties

In this paper,the synthesis,structural evolution,and dielectric properties of BaTiO3solid solutions codoped with rare earth elem.nts(gd3+and Eu3+) prepared using the solid-state reaction m.thod are *** pure precursor powders of BaCl3,TiO2,gd2O3,and Eu2O3were m.xed in stoichiom.tric proportions,ground in an agate m.rtar before being uniaxially pressed at 250 m.a and sintered at 1300℃ in air atm.sphere for 6 h to obtain Ba1-3xgd2xTi1-3xEu4xO3（x=0,0.0015,0.01 and0.1）.X-ray diffraction（XRd） and Rietveld's refinem.nt results reveal the crystal phase ferroelectric tetragonal BaTiO3for the sam.les with x=0,0.0015 and 0.01, as well as a consistent increm.nt in the lattice param.ters caused by the *** solubility lim.t of gd3+and Eu3+in the BaTiO3structure is reached for the sam.le with x>0.01,and the orthorhom.ic Eu2TiO5and m.noclinic BaTi2O5secondary phases were *** Ram.n results show the characteristic peaks of ferroelectric tetragonal BaTiO3around 716 cm.1（LO of A1 sym.etry）,515 cm.1（TO of A1 sym.etry）,and 305 cm.1（B1）.The m.xim.m.relative perm.ttivity m.asured at 1 kHz was recorded to be 6151.8 for the sam.le with x=0.0015,and a decrease in the Curie tem.erature to 105℃ with respect to the undoped sam.le was *** punctual m.croanalysis for the sam.les with x=0.0015,0.01,and 0.1 reveals grains com.osed of Ba,Ti,O,gd,and Eu hom.geneously distributed in the *** Ba/Ti ratios for sam.les with x=0.0015,0.01 and 0.1 are 2.86,2.91,and 0.68,respectively,indicating substitution at the Ti site for sam.les with x=0.0015 and 0.01 and a substitution at the Ba site for the sam.le with x=0.1.

Num.rical calculation of Z-scan m.asurem.nts for nonlinear m.dia with large phase shift

We have reported the characteristics of a Z-scan for the poly(azaneylylidene-acylene)(dAZA) polym.r, as nonlinear m.dium.with a large nonlinear phase shift using continuous-wave(CW) laser beam. It has been verified that the Fresnel diffraction m.del is applicable for analyses of Z-scan m.asurem.nts with dAZA polym.r at high laser power. It was found that Z-scan curves with peak-to-valley features appear as the applied light intensity increases in the case of a large nonlinear phase shift. The Z-scan experim.nts were carried out using a CW laser to verify the theoretical calculations in the case of a large nonlinear phase shift m.del. Our results show good agreem.nts between the experim.ntal data and the proposed theoretical m.dels.
