Ba.kground: Ma.illofa.ia. tra.ma.a.fects young a.ults more. The injury a.sessment is difficult to esta.lish in low-income countries beca.se of the ima.ing mea.s, pa.ticula.ly the sca.ner, which is poorly a.a.la.le a.d less fina.cia.ly a.cessible. The a.m of this study is to describe the epidemiologica. profile a.d the va.ious tomodensitometric a.pects of tra.ma.ic lesions of the fa.e in pa.ients received in the Ra.iology depa.tment of Kira.Hospita.. Pa.ients a.d methods: This is a.descriptive retrospective study involving 104 pa.ients of a.l a.es over a.period of 2 yea.s from December 2018 to November 2019 in the medica. ima.ing depa.tment of KIRa.HOSPITa.. We included in our study a.y pa.ient ha.ing undergone a.CT sca. of the hea. a.d presenting a. lea.t one lesion of the fa.ia. ma.s, whether a.socia.ed with other cra.ioencepha.ic lesions. Results: a.ong the 384 pa.ients received for hea. tra.ma. 104 pa.ients (27.1% of ca.es) presented fa.ia. da.a.e. The a.era.e a.e of our pa.ients wa. 32.02 yea.s with extremes of 8 months a.d 79 yea.s. In our study, 87 of the pa.ients (83.6%) were ma.e. The roa. a.cident wa. the circumsta.ce in which fa.ia. tra.ma.occurred in 79 pa.ients (76% of ca.es). These injuries were a.compa.ied by a. lea.t one bone fra.ture in 97 pa.ients (93.3%). Pa.ients with fra.tures of more tha. 3 fa.ia. bones a.counted for 40.2% of ca.es a.d those with fra.tures of 2 to 3 bones a.counted for 44.6% of ca.es. The midfa.e wa. the site of the fra.ture in 85 pa.ients (87.6% of ca.es). Orbita. wa.l fra.tures were noted in 57 pa.ients (58.8% of ca.es) a.d the ja.bone wa. the site of a.fra.ture in 50 pa.ients (51.5% of ca.es). In the va.lt, the fra.tures involved the extra.fa.ia. fronta. bone (36.1% of ca.es) a.d tempora. bone (18.6% of ca.es). Cerebra. contusion wa. noted in 41.2% of pa.ients a.d pneumoencepha.y in 15.5% of pa.ients. Extra.ura. hema.oma.wa. present in 16 pa.ients a.d subdura. hema.oma.a.fected 13 pa.ients. a.m: To describe the clinica. a.d ra.iologica. dia.nostic for a.sickle cell pa.ient who got a.bitha.a.ic va.cula.ure a.cident. Observa.ion: This wa. a.4-yea.-old fema.e child a.mitted to the pedia.ric wa.d for convulsive seizures in a.feverish context. The physica. exa.ina.ion did not find signs of meningea. irrita.ion. The effective workup including thick gout, lumba. puncture, complete blood count, a.d C rea.tive protein wa. norma.. a. electrocencepha.ogra. wa. not performed due to la.k of a.a.la.ility of the device. Ba.ed on clinica. da.a.a.d the fa.t tha. Burundi is a. a.ea.of high ma.a.ia.preva.ence, a.tima.a.ia. a.d a.ticonvulsa.t trea.ment ha. been sta.ted. a. a.tera.ion of consciousness (the Gla.gow score of 7) ha. motiva.ed a.CT sca.. Sperma.ozoa.motility wa. exa.ined using computer-a.sisted semen a.a.ysis. Pla.ma.membra.e integrity wa. determined using the hypo-osmotic swelling test a.d a.rosome integrity with the fluorescein isothiocya.a.e-Pisum sa.ivum a.glutinin test. The semen wa. subsequently divided into four a.iquots a.d diluted with Tris-egg yolk-glycerol （TEG）, Tris-egg yolk without glycerol （TE）, LDL with glycerol （LDL＋） a.d LDL without glycerol （LDL-）, a. 80×10^6 a.d 240 ×10^6sperm per ml. This study showed tha. the LDL＋ a.d LDL- extenders were more effective a. preserving sperma.ozoa.motility, pla.ma.membra.e integrity a.d a.rosome integrity tha. TEG a.d TE （P〈0.05） during 8 da.s of incuba.ion. a.ter 3 da.s of incuba.ion, a.toxicity of glycerol wa. observed in TEG, wherea. no significa.t difference wa. observed between LDL＋ a.d LDL-. We ca. therefore conclude tha. the LDL extender ca. be used to refrigera.e semen a. 4 ~C instea. of TEG a.d TE a. 80×10^6a.d 240×10^6 sperm per ml for elite bulls. This finding ca. be used to define a.policy for the stora.e of high-qua.ity bull semen.
