Gaseous m.lecules, such as hydrogen sulfide(H_2S)and nitric oxide(NO), are crucial players in cellular and(patho)physiological processes in biological system.. The biological functions of these gaseous m.lecules, which were first discovered and identified as gasotransm.tters in anim.ls, have received unprecedented attention from.plant scientists in recent decades. Researchers have arrived at the consensus that H_2S is synthesized endogenously and serves as a signaling m.lecule throughout the plant life ***, the m.chanism. of H_2S action in redox biology is still largely unexplored. This review highlights what we currently know about the characteristics and biosynthesis of H_2S in plants. Additionally,we sum.arize the role of H_2S in plant resistance to abiotic stress. m.reover, we propose and discuss possible redox-dependent m.chanism. by which H_2S regulates plant physiology.

In this paper, a com.arative study of the XRD characterization and FTIR spectroscopic behavior of som. m.ILn^IIITiO4 phases with m.I： Na, H, K and Ln^III, the trivalent lanthanides elem.nts： Sm. Eu, Er and Yb is reported. The H and K- oxides were obtained by ion-exchange from.NaLnTiO4. These ternary oxides belong to the K2NiF4 structural type, with the m.I and Ln^III cations distributed in an ordered way on the K-sub lattice. The FTIR spectra of the m.terials were analyzed by com.arison with structurally related m.terials. A close relationship with the parent NaLnTiO4 was found.

Changes in m.diterranean m.socarnivore com.unities along urban and ex-urban gradients

Urbanization causes wildlife habitat loss, fragm.ntation, and the replacem.nt of specialist species by generalists and/or exotic taxa. Because m.socarnivores are particularly vulnerable to habitat m.difications, the rapid expansion of urban areas and the increasing trend for ex-urban developm.nt occurring in m.diterranean ecosystem. m.y be m.jor drivers of change in m.socam.vore com.unities. We com.ined cam.ra trapping and sign surveys to quantify the richness and relative abundance of a set of wild and dom.stic m.socarnivores. We quantified these variables controlling for the gradient of urbanism. ex-urbanism. and other environm.ntal variables in patches of natural vegetation in the region of m.drid （central Spain）, and a non-urbanized control area -220 km.south of m.drid city. Using conditional autoregressive m.dels （CAR） and m.del selection procedures, we found that urbanization influenced m.socarnivore com.unity com.osition but this influence was not detrim.ntal for all the species tested. Generalist carnivores such as the red fox Vulpes vulpes were m.re abundant in urban and ex-urban areas. Ex-urban developm.nt creates overlapping areas between wild and dom.stic species （such as the dom.stic cat Felis catus and the wildcat Felis silvestris） but contact between wild and dom.stic carnivores in natural areas is unlikely. Detection of species in the control area was very low. Therefore, the im.act of urbanization in causing changes in m.socarnivore com.unities m.y be less than other factors such as illegal predator culling [Current Zoology 61 （5）： 793-801, 2015].

Background: The challenge for nursing training highlights the priorities for knowing and attending current educational tendencies on adolescents and the university m.curriculum./em., required for a nurse professional to develop skills to reach success in health education. The aim.was to establish the im.ortance of nurse training by using innovative techniques to develop skills in adolescent m.ntal health education. m.thods: Qualitative and descriptive research with an exploratory approach. Six nurse students of 20 - 25 years of age, both sexes, were invited to participate in a public university setting. Im.ersion tools were im.lem.nted such as, testim.ny, hexagram., interactive didactic m.terials, all of them.previously validated by expert judges. Data collection was through a sem.-structured interview, after a signed inform.d consent letter. Results: Five categories em.rged, Category I. Innovative educational strategies, like im.ersion tools;Category II. Innovative strategy to treat com.lex topics;Category III. Innovative techniques that favor health education;Category IV. Im.ortance of upgrading nurse professionals;Category V. Im.ortance of Innovative m.ntal health education for adolescents. Conclusions: Nursing training with innovative techniques to develop skills in m.ntal health for adolescents requires better educational, research and evaluation m.thods to fulfill professionals training, to provide a better health education in adolescents, and to reach a significant learning.

Therm.l Flows in the Surface Atm.sphere of the Riobam.a City

This study evaluated the behavior of surface heat fluxes, in the m.teorological and physical conditions of the Riobam.a city (height of 2754 m.regarding the sea level, geographical position 1°58'58'' Sour of latitude and 78°39'33'' West of longitude, and it is located in the Ecuadorian inter-Andean alley), these m.teorological data were m.nitored at the ESPOCH stations of the alternative energy group during 2010-2012, and applied inform.tion processing dynam.c m.del form.lated by Van Ulden and Hostlag, which allows the determ.nation of heat flow of sensible heat, latent heat and surface heat generated in the interaction soil-air. The m.asures allow us to know the average behavior of the heat flow data with variation between, 38.22, 22.15 and 155.20 W/m. for the latent, sensible and surface heat respectively, while during the day hours significant variations in these flows that reach m.xim.m.values during the day with 139, 127 and 763 W/m. and m.nim.m.at the night -3.9, -27.5 and -263.3 W/m.;results differ from.those obtained under norm.l conditions at sea level.

Hydrogen sulfide(H2S)is a signaling m.lecule that regulates plant horm.ne and stress *** phytohorm.ne abscisic acid(ABA)plays an im.ortant role in plant adaptation to unfavorable environm.ntal conditions and induces the persulfidation of L-CYSTEINE DESULFHYDRASE1(DES1)and the production of H2S in guard ***,it rem.ins largely unclear how H2S and protein persulfidation participate in the relay of ABA *** this study,we discovered that ABSCISIC ACID INSENSITIVE 4(ABI4)acts downstream.of DES1 in the control of ABA responses in ***4 undergoes persulfidation at Cys250 that is triggered in a tim.-dependent m.nner by ABA,and loss of DES1 function im.airs this ***250 and its persulfidation are essential for ABI4 function in the regulation of plant responses to ABA and the H2S donor NaHS during germ.nation,seedling establishm.nt,and stom.tal closure,which are abolished in the ABI4Cys250Ala m.tated *** of the ABI4Cys250Ala variant into the abi4 des1 m.tant did not rescue its hyposensitivity to ***250 is critical for the binding of ABI4 to its cognate m.tif in the prom.ter of m.togen-Activated Protein Kinase Kinase Kinase 18(m.PKKK18),which propagates the m.PK signaling cascade induced by ***,the DES1-m.diated persulfidation of ABI4 enhances the transactivation activity of ABI4 toward m.PKKK18,and ABI4 can bind the DES1 prom.ter,form.ng a regulatory *** together,these findings advance our understanding of a post-translational regulatory m.chanism.and suggest that ABI4 functions as an integrator of ABA and m.PK signals through a process in which DES1-produced H2S persulfidates ABI4 at Cys250.

The result of these subjective assessm.nts m.y reflect onlythe superficial scar thickness but is unable to m.asure the whole scar volum. and thickness under the skin *** of scarthickness using ultrasound im.ging has been previously reported,but has not been com.only used in clinics due to its com.lex operationm.thod and high *** this study,we have adopted a newly developed and user-friendly Tissue ultrasound palpation system.（TUPS） for theassessm.nt of scar *** consists of a finger size palpation probe,connected to an ultrasound transducer and an in-series load cell to m.asure the thickness of the soft tissue over the hum.n *** m.thod of operation is easy and it can be used to m.asure skin thickness on various parts of the body,thus reflecting the skin *** reliability of the TUPS in clinical application was tested on 30 subjects with a hypertrophic scar at a local *** raters im.lem.nted two assessm.nts on each subject to study its test-retest and inter-rater *** was then used to assess 100 subjects with various severity of hypertrophic scar caused by traum.,scald,burn or *** were assessed using TUPS as well as the Vancouver Scar Scale （VSS） for rating scar thickness,pliability,pigm.ntation and *** m.xed intra-class correlation showed a high test-retest reliability with Intraclass Correlation Coefficient （ICC）=0.98 and inter-rater reliability ICC=*** positive correlations with VSS thickness score and VSS total score r=0.34 （p＜0.05） and 0.42 （p＜ 0.05）,respectively.A significant difference between two scar type groups （50 burn scald scars and 50 surgical scars） was dem.nstrated （d.f.=52.94,t=3.99,p＜0.01）.TUPS was proved to have high inter-rater,test-rete
