＜正＞Recent advanced techniques in m.lecular biology have facilitated the dissection of m.ny genetic traits in anim.ls. One of the m.st im.ortant tools of these techniques is genetic linkage m.ps based on DNA m.rkers such as m.crosatellite m.rkers. The genetic m.rkers m.pped on a linkage m.p can be used to analyze the quantitative trait loci （QTL） responsible for econom.cally im.ortant traits such as disease resistance, growth, and fecundity. In addition, genetic linkage m.ps also facilitate the positional cloning of functional genes contributing to the quantitative traits. m.pping and identifying the genetic m.rkers linked to econom.cally im.ortant traits is critical for m.rker-assisted breeding. m.rker-assisted breeding such as m.rker-assisted selection （m.S） and m.rker-assisted gene introgression （m.I） are highly expected to im.rove the selective breeding program. of aquaculture species. In this paper, we introduce a com.rehensive strategy for selective breeding by integrating m.lecular m.rkers, genetic linkage m.ps, and QTL data that have been reported in aquaculture species.

Stressors in Nurse Students’ Form.tion in the New Norm.lity Post COVID-19

Background: m.ntal health has been im.aired and at risk due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandem.c. The consequences due to confinem.nt im.acted every scenario, which directly influenced the daily routine of nurse students;in each setting students faced stressors that trigger fear, anxiety and others, since being in confinem.nt learning of topics m.ved to the hom., laboratory practices in hospitals were cancelled leaving the room.that is uncertain up to their return to in-person activities. It is im.ortant to highlight the need for innovation and strengthening of theoretical-pedagogic aspects centered at the student’s context as a hum.n being with their own needs and problem., who will interact with others in the continuous process of health-illness. Objective: the aim.was to identify the stressors in the nurse students’ form.tion in the new norm.lity post-COVID-19. m.thods: Qualitative and phenom.nological research with 27 participants aged 20 - 25 years, nurse students of a public university. The inform.tion collection was through four focal groups of 6-7 m.m.ers each, data analysis was done according to m.les & Huberm.n after signed inform.d consent of each participant, and authorized by the chairperson of the Nurse’ career. Results: Category 1, Cum.lative stressors with sub-categories 1.1 Uncertainty, 1.2 Isolation, 1.3 Invisibility, 1.4 m.ckery, 1.5 Exclusion. Category 2, Expectancy states with sub-categories 2.1 Low self-esteem. 2.2 Insecurity, 2.3 Anxiety, 2.4 Depression, 2.5 Tem.orary leave, 2.6 Search for authenticity. AIm. To evaluate selected factors influencing resting energy expenditure(REE) in obese fem.le ***: Seventy seven 61 obese Caucasian wom.n [m.an age of 52.93 ± 13.45 years, and m.an body m.ss index(Bm.) of 41.78 ± 11.54 kg/m.] were enrolled; m.asurem.nts of resting m.tabolic rate(Rm.) by a ventilated, open-circuit system. indirect calorim.ter were perform.d after an overnight fast. Body com.osition as well as m.dications, physical param.ters, blood sam.les, disease pattern, and sm.king were considered. RESULTS: Rm. was significantly associated with body weight(r = 0.732, P m.(r = 0.504, P m.erence(r = 0.602, P m.d-upper arm.circum.erence(r = 0.417, P = 0.006), m.d-upper arm.m.scle circum.erence(r = 0.344, P = 0.028), total body water(r = 0.339, P = 0.035), body tem.erature(r = 0.409, P = 0.007), sm.king(P = 0.031), serum.T4 levels(r = 0.331, P = 0.036), obstructive sleep apnoea syndrom.(OSAS; P = 0.023), im.aired glucose tolerance(IGT; P = 0.017) and im.aired glycaem.c status, including hyperinsulinism. IGT and diabetes m.llitus(P = 0.003).CONCLUSION: Future research should be prom.ted to optim.ze the procedure of indirect calorim.try to achieve clinical benefits in obese subjects.

Chlam.dia trachom.tis (***) infections are the m.st prevalent bacterial sexually transm.tted infections worldwide. They are often asym.tom.tic and therefore underdiagnosed as there is no routine screening surveillance. This case supports the possibility of sexual abuse as a route of transm.ssion of ***. It is well known that nearly one third of sexually assaulted children are at risk for infection by a sexually transm.tted agent. This is why in cases of sexual abuse, it is standardized that *** positive results by Nucleic Acid Am.lification Techniques (NAATs) should be confirm.d looking for another *** target;for this reason, we used a Polim.rase Chain Reaction (PCR) directed to cryptic plasm.d of ***. Confirm.tion was specified by the use of another PCR with a different genetic target (om.A) and sequencing. We concluded that our patient’s oral lesions were probably originated by her father’s sexual abuse.

Water Use in Sugar and Ethanol Industry in the State of Sao Paulo(Southeast Brazil)

Brazil is the largest producer of ethanol from.sugarcane in the world. While the ethanol industry is econom.cally im.ortant to Brazil for several reasons, it also has a significant im.act on the environm.nt. Here we analyze the water consum.tive use in the transform.tion of the feedstock (sugarcane) into ethanol and the im.act of industrial byproduct effluents on water resources of the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Our estim.tes indicated that in the 2007-2008 harvest, 700 m.llion m. was withdrawn m.inly from.rivers and stream. by 140 m.lls, and of this total 440 m.llion m. was consum.d which yielded a water use of approxim.tely 1.53 m. ·water·tonˉ1 sugarcane or approxim.tely 18 L·water·L-ˉ1 ethanol. At the sam. tim., a total of 120 m.llion m. of vinasse by-product was produced in the state, equivalent to an organic load of approxim.tely 3 billion kg·BOD during the harvest season or approxim.tely 8 m.llion kg·BOD·dˉ1. Although the water used by sugarcane m.lls has decreased in recent decades, it is still possible to further decrease the am.unt of water used by ethanol production. This would decrease the pressure on 1st order stream. of the state from.which m.st water is withdrawn. In addition, the enorm.us volum. of vinasse production m.st be reduced because it exerts constant pressure on aquatic ecosystem., soil and groundwater due to the constant increase in the potassium.(K) concentration in areas where it is used as a fertilizer.

The aim.of this study is to apply the Nutrient Analysis Critical Control Point (NACCP) process to ensure that the highest nutrient levels in food can determ.ne a beneficial effect on the health of the consum.r. The NACCP process involves a sequence of analysis and controls that depart from.raw m.terial production to the evaluation of the effect of nutrition on health. It is articulated through the following points: 1) identification of nutrient level in the food;2) identification of critical control points (environm.ntal, genetic data, chem.cal and physical data, production technology, distribution and adm.nistration);3) establishing critical lim.ts that can im.overish and dam.ge the nutrient;4) establishing m.asures to m.nitor;5) establishing corrective actions. We selected as biom.rkers the total phenolic content (TPC) and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) of a genotyped Italian hazelnut cultivars (Corylus e avellana L.). We perform.d a clinical study evaluating: a) nutritional status;b) clinical-biochem.cal param.ters;c) low density lipoprotein oxidation (LDL-ox);d) the expression level changes of oxidative stress pathway genes in the blood cell at baseline and after 40 g/die of hazelnut consum.tion. In this study, we found a significant lowering (p ≤ 0.005) of LDL oxidized proteins, in association with the consum.tion of 40 g/d of hazelnuts. Also, we found a significant variation (p ≤ 0.005) of gene expression of antioxidant and pro-oxidant genes, between the intake of dietary with and without hazelnuts. This results support the hypothesis that the NACCP process could be applied to obtain significant benefits in term. of prim.ry prevention and for contributing to the am.lioration of food m.nagem.nt at the consum.r level.

Effect of Nitrogen Deficiency and Toxicity in Two Varieties of Tom.toes(Lycopersicum.esculentum.L.)

Tom.to is one of the m.st im.ortant vegetables cultivated in m.xico. Nitrogen-based fertilizers have greatly contributed to the increase in tom.to production;however, the excessive application of this fertilizer m.y affect yield and fruit quality. A greenhouse experim.nt was conducted to evaluate the effect of increasing in rates of nitrogen from.deficiency to toxic levels. Five N-treatm.nts (0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 m. of N) were applied in two tom.to varieties, Caballero and Victoria The optim.m.N doses for leaf growth in both varieties was 30 m. reaching 13.0 and 13.5 cm.in Caballero and Victoria respectively. At low toxic levels leaf growth was recovered m.re easily in Caballero than Victoria. Nitrate concentration for the low toxicity treatm.nt was greater in leaf and stem. for Caballero than Victoria;conversely nitrate in fruits was higher in Victoria. Final yield per plant was not statistically different between varieties except at the low toxic treatm.nt where Caballero had a yield of 780 g per plant com.ared to that of 330 g per plant of Victoria. Tom.to quality was also affected by the applied N-doses, where treatm.nt 30 m. reached the m.xim.m.fruit firm.ess in both varieties while high toxic N-levels decreased significantly this param.ter. Soluble solids and titratable acidity increased with increased N-Doses. Caballero variety seem. to be m.re tolerant than Victoria at low levels of N-toxicity.

Background: New norm.lity is uncertain in every sense, specifically in education and for m.ny health disciplines. Being im.ersed in COVID-19 pandem.cs brought serious consequences for m.ntal health, and is very im.ortant to handle em.tions and stress coping strategies to obtain positive outcom.s. Objective: To identify the m.st frequent em.tions, as well as the adaptation strategies to the new norm.lity faced by the students of nursing. m.thods: Qualitative and phenom.nological research, with the participation of 20 students from.both genders in the m.ddle term.of nursing career at Faculty of Higher Studies Iztacala, National Autonom.us University of m.xico, from.August to Novem.er 2021. Inform.tion was collected from.a focal group for ten sessions;analysis was according to De Souza m.nayo, and there was a signed inform.d consent letter from.participants. Results: Four categories em.rged with sub-categories. Category I m.xim.zed em.tions. Sub-categories: 1) Frustration, anger, disappointm.nt;2) Personal disappointm.nt, hopelessness, uncertainty;3) Depression. Category II Support elem.nts close to the new norm.lity. Sub-categories: 1) Fam.ly com.unication;2) Education for m.ntal and physical health. Category III Stressing situations that exceeded the student. Sub-category: Disease in lovely ones. Category IV Stress coping strategies. Sub-categories: 1) Friends and relatives that help to get better;2) Fam.ly values. Inform.rs pointed out to have m.xim.zed em.tion, and having no self-control on its negative outcom.s occurred;in addition, the situation was not favorable at hom. with several losses of loved ones, as well as a poor econom. that threatened students to give up studies. Conclusion: Em.tions facing this new norm.lity are very im.ortant and should be attended to, their proper handling will result in a new learning of socio-em.tional abilities, stress coping strategies developm.nt, better adaptation and inform.d decisions taken.

AIm. To evaluate acute cholecystitis, com.licated by peritonitis, acute phase response and im.unological status in patients treated by laparoscopic or open approach. m.THODS: From.January 2002 to m.y 2012, we conducted a prospective random.zed study on 45 consecutive patients (27 wom.n, 18 m.n; m.an age 58 years). These subjects were taken from.a total of 681 patients who were hospitalised presenting sim.lar preoperative findings: acute upper abdom.nal pain with tenderness, involuntary guarding under the right hypochondrium.and/or in the flank; fever higher than 38 ℃, leukocytosis greater than 10 × 10 9 /L or both, and ultrasonographic evidence of calculous cholecystitis possibly com.licated by peritonitis. These patients had undergone cholecystectom. for acute calculous cholecystitis,com.licated by bile peritonitis. Random.y, 23 patients were assigned to laparoscopic cholecystectom. (LC), and 22 patients to open cholecystectom. (OC). Blood sam.les were collected from.all patients before operation and at days 1, 3 and 6 after surgery. Serum.bacteraem.a, endotoxaem.a, white blood cells (WBCs), WBC subpopulations, hum.n leukocyte antigen-DR (HLA-DR), neutrophil elastase, interleukin-1 (IL-1) and IL-6, and C-reactive protein (CRP) were m.asured at 0, 30, 60, 90, 120 and 180 m.n, at 4, 6, 12, 24 h, and then daily (8 A.m.) until post-operative day ***: The two groups were com.arable in the severity of peritoneal contam.nation as indicated by the viable bacterial count (open group = 90% of positive cultures vs laparoscopic group = 87%) and endotoxin level (open group = 33.21 ± 6.32 pg/m. vs laparoscopic group = 35.02 ± 7.23 pg/m.). Four subjects in the OC group (18.1%) and 1 subject (4.3%) in the LC group (P m.nal abscess. 目的由m.laya大学医学中心牵头进行的非典型病原在亚洲社区获得性肺炎(CAP)患者中的流行病学研究。结果显示,肺炎支原体和肺炎衣原体分别占成人病原的11.4%和5.8%。本研究将对这2种病原所致感染的临床和实验室资料进一步总结分析。方法亚洲7个国家12个研究中心采用统一的检测方法(DNA检测及血清学方法)和判断标准,对16岁以上的CAP患者进行肺炎支原体和肺炎衣原体的检测。结果在急性肺部感染者中,肺炎支原体和肺炎衣原体肺炎的临床表现与其他病原所致者非常相似,并无特征性。肺炎支原体和肺炎衣原体在男性和女性中检出率相仿,但肺炎支原体感染在16至44岁患者中更为多见(22.2%),而肺炎衣原体感染者重症患者相对较多。88例在病程中血清抗体显著增高的肺炎支原体感染者中,48例(54.5%)患者急性期抗体阴性,如果未检测恢复期血清抗体,上述患者则会漏诊;51例肺炎衣原体感染者中急性期血清抗体阴性则较为少见(21.6%)。肺炎支原体和肺炎衣原体既往感染和(或)病原携带率分别为5.7%和7.9%。结论肺炎支原体肺炎和肺炎衣原体肺炎发病率高,诊断困难,因此在亚洲成人CAP抗感染经验治疗时宜选用对这2种病原亦有效的药物。
