In the era.of Multislice Computed Tomogra.hy (MSCT), few studies ha.e been dedica.ed to the eva.ua.ion of corona.y a.oma.ies a.d va.ia.ts. We a.m to present, describe a.d a.sess the preva.ence of congenita. corona.y va.ia.ts a.d a.oma.ies (CVa. in the MSCT corona.y a.giogra.hic studies performed in our depa.tment. a.l the MSCT corona.y a.giogra.hies performed in our depa.tment, between a.ril 1, 2007 a.d Ma. 31, 2012 were reviewed. Corona.y a.oma.ies a.d va.ia.ts were cha.a.terized a.d grouped a.cording to their type: origin, course (including myoca.dia. bridging) a.d dista. ending. a.tota. of 663 pa.ients underwent a.MSCT corona.y eva.ua.ion during this period. a.tota. of 84 a.oma.ies a.d va.ia.ts were identified in 80 individua.s: 12.1% of the popula.ion (80/663). The most frequent va.ia.t wa. the myoca.dia. bridging of the a.terior descending a.tery. Four (4.7%) of the a.oma.ies were considered ma.igna.t, corresponding to a.preva.ence of 0.6% (4/663) in the popula.ion. Congenita. corona.y a.oma.ies a.d va.ia.ts a.e rela.ively common. In our study, the preva.ence wa. 12.1%, myoca.dia. bridging being the most common. This fa.t ma. expla.n the higher preva.ence compa.ed to some series ba.ed on the ca.dia. ca.heteriza.ion studies. Few of these a.oma.ies were considered ma.igna.t, with preva.ence ra.es simila. to those found in the ca.dia. ca.heteriza.ion studies.

Orchiectomy is the recommended trea.ment for ma.y testicula. ***,testicula. prosthesis pla.ement is not a.wa.s performed for different *** this study,we a.med to eva.ua.e pa.ients'opinions a.d the impa.t on sexua. function a.d qua.ity of *** retrospective observa.iona. single-center study included pa.ients who underwent orchiectomy between Ja.ua.y 2014 a.d December 2020 a. the Depa.tment of Urology,Bra.a.s Hospita.(Bra.a.Portuga.),where testicula. impla.ts were a.wa.s a.a.la.le a.d the decision to undergo the procedure wa. ma.e fully independent of *** completed four questionna.res tha. a.sessed demogra.hic da.a.sa.isfa.tion,self-esteem,a.d sexua. *** the 96 pa.ients who underwent orchidectomy,59 replied to the questionna.res,a.d of these pa.ients,86.4%decided to undergo silicone-ba.ed testicula. prostheses *** rema.ning 13.6%refused the impla.t ba.ed on concerns a.out complica.ions(37.5%),beca.se they felt tha. it wa. unnecessa.y(37.5%),or beca.se it wa. not offered by the doctor(25.0%).Overa.l,96.1%of these pa.ients were sa.isfied with the impla.t;however,25.5%cla.sified it a."too firm".No sta.istica.ly significa.t differences were found in sexua. function(a.l P>0.05).However,it ca. be observed tha. there a.e more pa.ients with prostheses presenting norma. sexua. a.tivity compa.ed to pa.ients without prostheses(74.0%vs 50.0%),a.d none of them reported severe erectile dysfunction(0 vs 16.7%).Rega.ding self-esteem,both pa.ients with a.d without prostheses present very simila. a.era.e scores with no sta.istica.ly significa.t *** present study highlights the highest level of sa.isfa.tion a.ong pa.ients who received testicula. *** prostheses impla.ta.ion is a.sa.e procedure tha. does not ha.per sexua. function a.ter orchiectomy.

The guida.ce signa.s tha. drive pollen tube na.iga.ion inside the pistil a.d micropyle ta.geting a.e still, to a.grea. extent, unknown. Previous studies in vitro showed tha. nitric oxide （NO） works a. a.nega.ive chemotropic cue for pollen tube growth in lily （Lilium Iongiflorum）. Furthermore, a.a.idopsis tha.ia.a.a.nosl muta.t pla.ts, which show de- fective NO production, ha.e reduced fertility. Here, we focus in the role of NO in the process of pollen-pistil communica.ion, using a.a.idopsis in-vivo a.d lily semi-vivo a.sa.s. Cross-pollina.ion between wild-type a.d a.nosl pla.ts shows tha. the muta.ion a.fects the pistil tissues in a.wa. tha. is compa.ible with a.norma. pollen tube guida.ce. Moreover, Da.- 2Da.sta.ning for NO in ka.a.i flora. muta.ts showed the presence of NO in a. a.ymmetric restricted a.ea.a.ound the micropyle. The pollen-pistil intera.tion tra.scriptome indica.es a.time-course-specific modula.ion of tra.scripts of a.NOS1 a.d two Nitra.e Reducta.es （nrl a.d nr2）, which collectively a.e thought to trigger a.puta.ive NO signa.ing pa.hwa.. Semivivo a.sa.s with isola.ed ovules a.d lily pollen further showed tha. NO is necessa.y for micropyle ta.geting to occur. This evidence is supported by CPTIO trea.ment with subsequent forma.ion of ba.loon tips in pollen tubes fa.ing ovules. a.tiva.ion of ca.cium influx in pollen tubes pa.tia.ly rescued norma. pollen tube morphology, suggesting tha. this pa.hwa. is a.so dependent on Ca.2＋ signa.ing. a.role of NO in modula.ing Ca.2＋ signa.ing wa. further substa.tia.ed by direct ima.ing the cytosolic free Ca.2＋ concentra.ion during NO-induced re-orienta.ion, where two pea.s of Ca.2＋ occur--one during the slowdown/stop response, the second during re-orienta.ion a.d growth resumption. Ta.en together, these results provide evidence for the pa.ticipa.ion of NO signa.ing events during pollen-pistil intera.tion. The va.ue of the Formicida. Estua.ine ecosystems in SE a.ia.ha.e been poorly studied when compa.ed to other tropica. environments. Importa.t ga.s exist pa.ticula.ly in the understa.ding of their biogeochemica. function a.d contribution to globa. cha.ge. In this work we looked into N-turnover in the wa.er column a.d sediments of the Ba.gpa.ong estua.y（13°N）. a.sea.ona. sa.pling progra. wa. performed a.ong the sa.inity gra.ient covering different stretches of the estua.y（68 km）.Key physica. a.d chemica. cha.a.teristics were a.so monitored in order to unra.el possible environmenta. controls. Results showed the occurrence of a.tive denitrifica.ion in sediments（5.7–50.9 nmol N-N2/（cm3·hr））, a.d wa.er column（3.5–1044 pmol N-N2/（cm3·hr））. No sea.ona. or spa.ia. va.ia.ility wa. detected for denitrifica.ion potentia. in sediment sa.ples. However, in the wa.er column, the denitrifica.ion a.tivity pea.ed during the tra.sition sea.on in the downstrea. sites coinciding with high turbidity levels. Therefore, in tha. period of the yea., the wa.er column compa.tment ma. be a. importa.t contributor to nitra.e reduction within the estua.y. The ra.her low nitrifica.ion ra.es detected were not a.wa.s mea.ura.le, proba.ly due to the reduced oxygen content a.d high silta.ion. This study is one of the few dea.ing simulta.eously with sediments a.d wa.er column processes in a.highly turbid tropica. ***, it emerges a. a.va.ua.le contribution for the understa.ding of the dyna.ics of the nitrogen cycle in tropica. environments by exploring the role of estua.ine N microbia. a.tivity in reducing the effects of increa.ed nitrogen loa.s.
