Gut inflammation can occur in 30%-60% of patients with ***, the presence of such gut inflammation is underestimated, only 27% of patients with histological evidence of gut inflammation have intestinal symptoms, but subclinical gut inflammation is documented in two-thirds of patients with inflammatory joint *** are common genetic and immunological mechanisms behind concomitant inflammation in the joints and intestinal tr.c..A number of blood tests, *** sedimentation rate, orosomucoid, c-reactive protein, and white cell and platelet counts, are probably the most commonly used laboratory markers of inflammatory disease, however, these tests are difficult to interpret in arthropathies associated with gut inflammation, since any increases in their blood levels might be attributable to either the joint disease or to gut ***, it would be useful to have a marker.c.pable of separately identifying gut *** proteins, which are indir.c. markers of neutrophil migration in the gut wall, and intestinal permeability, seem to be ideal for monitoring intestinal inflammation:they are easy to measure non-invasively and are specific for intestinal disease in the absence of gastrointestinal *** the traditional markers for.c.ar.c.erizing intestinal inflammation, there are also antibodies, in all probability generated by the immune response to microbial antigens and auto-antigens, which have proved useful in establishing the diagnosis and assessing the severity of the condition, as well as the prognosis and the risk of *** short, noninvasive investigations on the gut in patients with rheumatic disease may be useful in clinical pr.c.ice for a preliminary assessment of patients with suspected intestinal disease.

Arteroportal fistula is a rare cause of prehepatic portal hypertension. A 44-year-old male with hepatitis virus c infection was admitted for acute var.c.al bleeding. Endoscopy showed the presence of large esophageal var.c.s. The ultrasound revealed a mass near the head of pancreas, which was char.c.erized at the color- Doppler by a turbulent flow, and arterialization of portal vein flow. cT scan of abdomen showed a large aneurysm of the gastroduodenal artery communicating into the superior mesenter.c.vein. The sinusoidal portal pressure measured as hepatic vein pressure gradient was normal, confirming the pre-hepatic origin of portal hypertension. The diagnosis of extrahepatic portal hypertension secondary to arteroportal fistula was established, and the percutaneous embolization was performed. Three months later, the endoscopy showed absence of esophageal var.c.s and ascites. At the moment, the patient is in good clinical condition, without signs of portal hypertension.

AIM To investigate the association between restless legs syndrome(rLS) and well-defined chronic liver disease, and the possible therapeutic options. METHODS Two hundred and eleven patients with chronic liver disease, complaining of sleep disturbances, painful leg sensation and daily sleepiness, were included. Patients with persistent alcohol intake, r.c.nt worsening of clinical conditions, or hepatitis c virus were excluded. Diagnosis of rLS was suggested by the Johns Hopkins questionnaire and verified by fulfilling the diagnostic criteria by Allen. All patients were tested, both at baseline and during follow-up, with the Hamilton rating scale for depression, sleep quality assessment(PSQI), Epworth sleepiness scale(ESS), International restless Legs Syndrome Study Group evaluation, and international rLS severity(IrLS) scoring system. Ironfree level, ferritin, folate, vitamin B12 and D-OH25 were detected. Neurological examinations and blood testoccurred at the beginning of the therapy, after 2 wk, and at the 28^(th), 75 th, 105 th, 135 th, 165 th and 205 th day. regarding therapy, pramipexole or gabapentin were *** Patients were moderately depressed, with evident nocturnal sleep problems and concomitant daily sleepiness. Sleep problems and involuntary leg movements had been underestimated, and rLS s yndrome had not be e n c ons ide re d be fore t he neurological visit. All(211/211) patients fulfilled the rLS diagnostic criteria. Twenty-two patients considered their symptoms as mild, according to IrSL, but 189 found them moderate to very severe. No correlation was found between ammonium level and ESS or PSQI. Augmentation was rather pr.c.cious in our patients(135 th day), and more frequent(35%) than previous data(8.3%-9.1%). The dosage of dopamine agonists was found to be associated with augmentation and appears in range with the literature. Previous intake of alcohol and lower levels of vitamins have been related to the phenomenon in our *** rLS

AIM： To elucidate the pre-treatment clinical and imaging findings affecting the tumor response to the transcatheter treatment of unresectable hepatocellular.c.rcinoma （Hcc）. METHODS： Two hundred cirrhotic patients with Hcc r.c.ived a total of 425 transcatheter treatments. The tumor response was evaluated by helical cT and a massive necrosis （MN） was defined as a necrosis 〉 90%. Twenty-five clinical and imaging variables were analyzed： uninodular/multinodular Hcc, unilobar/bilobar, tumor.c.psula, hypervascular lesion, portal vein thrombosis, portal hypertension, ascites, platelets count, aspartate transaminases/alanine transaminases （AST/ALT）, alfa- fetoprotein （AFP）〉 100, AFP 〉 400, serum creatinine, virus hepatitis c （VHc） cirrhosis, performance status, age, Okuda stage, chUd-Pugg stage, sex, cLIP （cancer of the Liver Italian Program） score, serum bilirubin, constitutional syndrome, serum albumine, prothrombin activity, BcLc （Barcelona clinic Liver.c.ncer） stage. Prognostic factors of response were subjected to univariate analysis and thereafter, when significant, to the multivariate analyses. rESULTS： On imaging analysis, complete response wasobtained in 60 （30%） patients, necrosis 〉 90% in 38 （19%） patients, necrosis 〉 50% in 44 （22%） patients, and necrosis 〈 50% in 58 （29%） patients. Ninety-eight （49%） of the 200 patients were considered to have a MN. In univariate analysis, significant variables （P 〈 0.01） were： uninodular tumor, unilobar, tumor size 2-6 cm, cLIP score 〈 2, absence of constitutional syndrome, and BcLc stage 〈 2. In a multivariate analysis, the variables reaching statistical significance were： presence of tumor.c.psule （P 〈 0.0001）, tumor size 2-6 cm （P 〈 0.03）, cLIP score 〈 2 （P 〈 0.006）, and absence of constitutional syndrome （P 〈 0.03）. Kaplan-Mayer.c.mulative survival at 12 mo was 80% at 24 mo was 56%. Inorganic-organic hybrid WOx-ethylenediamine （WO/-EDA） nanowires have been produced by a simple, low-cost and high-yield solvothermal method. These WO/-EDA hybrid nanowires have unique lamellar mesostr.c.ures with an alternate stacking of an interconnected [WO6] octahedral layer and a monolayer of ethylenediamine molecules. This hybrid str.c.ure integrated the functionality of ethylenediamine with the stability of the WOx frameworks. In situ synchrotron- radiation X-ray diffr.c.ion is used to elucidate a possible formation mechanism of the hybrid WOx-EDA. The nanowire morphology, lamellar str.c.ure and abundant functional amino groups endow them with versatile abilities. For example, in heavy metal ion adsorption the WOx-EDA nanowires display exceptional adsorption capabilities of 925 mg·g^-1 for Pb^2＋ and 610 mg·g^-1 for UO2^2＋. The nanowires also show outstanding stability and activity as a heterogeneous base catalyst in the Knoevenagel condensation reaction at room temperature. The catalyst can be r.c.cled and reused for 20 cycles with nearly 100% yields. This study provides a new strategy to design inorganic-organic hybrid materials, and offers a multifunctional material that is a highly efficient adsorbent and sustainable catalyst.

本文介绍的低近地点轨道上飞行器的气动加热方面的研究成果,是为配合大气探险者-c 的温度警报器而完成的。文中论述低密度高速流理论的发展现状、地球大气的某些模式、外流场的定义、大气热力学和传输特性、适应系数、轨道热环境以及理论与测量结果的关联;用经过地面试验和飞行数据检验过的简化分析模型,确定了八条选用飞行轨道中的气动加热率,并将计算结果与经典自由分子流和一阶碰撞区的理论值分别进行比较。
