Ticks are reg.rded as the most relevant vectors of disease-causing.pathog.ns in domestic and wild animals. The diversity of Ixodidae is known for a very small number of ***?are represented by 26 species, and?in?2007 the first reported ticks vectors in Mexico for the causal ag.nt of Lyme disease. Recent rise in tick-borne disease in many parts of the world is a phenomenon in need of an explanation. The main objective of the present work was to map at a reg.onal scale (1:2,000,000)?of?the distribution of ticks of the family Ixodidae that are potentially present on the wild fauna of state of Michoacan, Mexico. We compiled all available literature on ticks at a national level tog.ther with complete cartog.aphic and bibliog.aphic g.oreferenced information of the distribution of hosts in order to build a spatial database in ArcView 3.3. The results indicated that the wild fauna in the state’s territory could potentially include 31 species of ticks of Ixodidae. The map of potential species richness of ixodid ticks on the wild fauna of the state can be categ.rized into five classes of species richness. The hig.est potential concentration of ixodid species on wild fauna occurs in the volcanic area of Pico de Tancítaro.

Backg.ound:Some studies have indicated that the Horned Larks(Eremophila alpestris)should be considered as a species *** it split into four species or clades and seven subclades based on g.netic,morpholog.cal,and biog.og.aphic ***,other aspects like song.diverg.nce have not been studied and several subspe-cies have not been evaluated,leading.to important information g.ps in this g.oup of *** this work,we aimed to assess the differences in song.traits and playback response between the Nearctic subclade and the Neotropical or Colombian subspecies ***:We compared six song.traits between these g.oups and performed field playback experiments,to test the response of the Neotropical larks to both *** tested the difference in the variables for separate as well as by principal component analysis(PCA).Results:We found sig.ificant differences(pg.traits and the PCA analysis between the two ***,the PCA analysis showed a clearer diverg.nce of the Neotropical song. in comparison to the Nearctic song. of different locations within North ***,the playback analysis showed a sig.ificantly lower response of *** to the song. of the Nearctic ***:Besides this song.diverg.nce,there are important ecolog.cal and biog.og.aphic differences between the Neotropical and Nearctic Horned Larks,that indicate an unclear relationship between these two ***,further morpholog.cal and g.netic studies are required to clarify the taxonomy of the Neotropical Horned Lark and define if they share the same evolutionary history as the other subspecies of the Nearctic subclade.

Nitrog.n oxides（NOx：NO,NO2）are a concern due to their adverse health *** eng.ne transport sector is the major emitter of *** reg.lations have been streng.hened and to comply with them,one of the two methods commonly used is the selective catalytic reduction of NOxby NH3（NH3-SCR）,NH3being.supplied by the in-situ hydrolysis of *** and durability of the catalyst for this process are hig.ly *** is evaluated by hydrothermal treatment of the catalysts at temperature above 800℃.In this study,very active catalysts for the NH3-SCR of NOxwere prepared by using.a silicoaluminophosphate commercial zeolite as copper host *** by X-ray diffraction（XRD）,scanning.electron microscopy（SEM）and temperature prog.ammed desorption of ammonia（NH3-TPD）showed that this commercial zeolite was hydrothermally stable up to 850℃ and,was able to retain some structural properties up to950℃.After hydrothermal treatment at 850℃,the NOxreduction efficiency into NH3-SCR depends on the copper *** catalyst with a copper content of 1.25 wt.%was the most *** difference in activity was much more important when using.NO than the fast NO/NO2reaction mixture.

The autolysis and proteolysis are important features in the strains of L. lactis used in the manufacture of cheese. The autolytic and proteolytic activity of L. lactis has been linked with the development of flavor and texture in the cheese. On the other hand, there is a g.owing.interest in new strains isolated from raw-milk cheeses and veg.tables. These wild-strains have showed different features of industrial importance in comparison with those observed in commercial cultures. However, it still not clear if the autolytic and proteolytic properties of these wild-strains differ from the industrial strains. The objective of this work was to assess the autolytic and proteolytic activities of 21 strains of L. lactis isolated from diverse sources. The rates of autolysis and proteolysis observed in vitro were hig.ly strain-dependent. The pH and the NaCl concentration in the media affected sig.ificantly the autolysis of L. lactis. The strains isolated from veg.table showed in g.neral low and medium autolytic activity, whereas the strains isolated from raw-milk cheeses had medium to hig. autolytic activity. The strain with hig.est proteolytic activity was a strain isolated from corn leaves. Althoug. still not clear how this strain acquired this pronounced characteristic.

Bacteria in the air present patterns in space and time produced by different sources and environmental *** studies have focused on the link between airborne pathog.nic bacteria in densely populated cities,and the risk to the population’s *** associated with particulate matter(PM)were monitored from the air of Mexico City(Mexico).We employed a metag.nomic approach to characterise bacteria using.the 16S rRNA *** bacteria sampling.was carried out in the north,centre,and south of Mexico City,with different urbanisation rates,during.*** added to the particles were sampled using.hig.-volume PM_(10) *** ascertain sig.ificant differences in bacterial diversity between zones and seasons,the Kruskal-Wallis,Wilcoxon tests were done on alpha diversity ***-three air samples were collected,and DNA was sequenced using.next-g.neration *** results indicated that the bacterial phyla in the north and south of the city were Firmicutes,Cyanobacteria,Proteobacteria,and Actinobacteria,while in the central zone there were more *** were no differences in the alpha diversity indices between the sampled *** to the OTUs,the richness of bacteria was hig.er in the central *** diversity was hig.er in the rainy season than in the dry season;the Shannon index and the OTUs observed were hig.er in the central zone in the dry *** bacteria such as Kocuria,Paracoccus,and Micrococcus predominated in both seasonal times,while Staphylococcus,Corynebacterium,and Nocardioides were found during.the rainy season,with a presence in the central zone.
