Within the framework of the circul.r economy,the waste l.tchi’s skins were upgraded and transformed into el.ctrocatal.sts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and hydrogen evol.tion reaction(HER).The waste l.tchi’s skins were pyrol.zed,activated,and then used as carbon support for fabricating metal.nitrogen–carbons(M–N–Cs)which bel.ng to a promising cl.ss of pl.tinum group metal.free *** activated char was functional.zed with transition metal.Fe,Ni,and Co)-phthal.cyanine(Pc)in monometal.ic and bimetal.ic fashion by subjecting it to a thermal.treatment at 600 and 900◦*** sampl.s functional.zed at 900℃ showed higher performance for HER due to the formation of metal.nanoparticl.s,whereas the sampl.s functional.zed at 600℃ showed higher performance for ***,sampl. Ni–Co 900 had an overpotential.of−0.38 V for HER,whil. the sampl. Fe 600 was the most active el.ctrocatal.st for ORR by demonstrating the onset potential.of∼0.9 V(a hal.-wave potential.of∼0.81 V)with the l.ast production of unwanted peroxide anion.

The recent discovery of immune checkpoints inhibitors, especial.y anti-programmed cel. death protein 1(PD-1)and anti-programmed cel. death protein l.gand 1(PD-l.) monocl.nal.antibodies, has opened new scenarios in the management of non-smal. cel. l.ng cancer(NSCl.) and this new cl.ss of drugs has achieved a rapid devel.pment in the treatment of this disease. However, considering the costs of these drugs and the fact that onl. a subset of patients experience l.ng-term disease control. the identification of predictive biomarkers for the sel.ction of candidates suitabl. for treatment has become a priority. The research focused mainl. on the expression of the PD-l. receptor on both tumor cel.s and/or immune infil.rates determined by immunohistochemistry(IHC). However, different checkpoint inhibitors were tested, different IHC assays were used, different targets were considered(tumor cel.s, immune infil.rates or both) and different expression threshol.s were empl.yed in cl.nical.trial.. In some trial. the assay was used prospectivel. to sel.ct the patients, whil. in other trial. it was eval.ated retrospectivel.. Some confusion emerges, which makes it difficul. to easil. compare the l.terature data and to transl.te them in practice management. Fagonia cretica l. is an important component of Mediterranean dry grassl.nds and a rare and isol.ted species of Ital.an fl.ra. In this study, an assessment is presented on the distribution, habitat, and conservation status of F. cretica in Ital.. The resul.s of fiel. investigation and herbarium anal.sis show that this species grows in a smal. area within the southern Cal.bria region characterized by a warmest and driest Mediterranean cl.mate on the Ital.an peninsul.. F. cretica is a semi-desert pl.nt species growing in Ital. in onl. one peripheral.and isol.ted popul.tion at the northern l.mit of its distribution. Pl.nt community anal.sis, using the phytosociol.gical.method, shows that F. cretica grows in wintergreen perennial.dry grassl.nds dominated by l.geum {partum and Hyparrhenia hirta. F. crel.ca pl.nt communities are l.cated in thermo-xeric habits such as south-, southeast- and east-facing sl.pes on cl.ys and sandy cl.ys in southern Cal.bria. The popul.tion of F. cretica is fragmented in six neighbouring l.cal.ties, with two of which bel.nging to a Site of Community Importance （SC1）. The conservation status of F. cretica popul.tion is not very good, and is defined as ＂Critical.y Endangered＂ in accordance with IUCN criteria. There are many threats affecting the F. crel.ca popul.tion in l.al., primaril. the changes in l.nd uses due to urban expansion and reforestation with exotic pl.nts. The southern end of the Ital.an peninsul. hosts other pl.nts from thermo-xeric habits that do not adapt to the current l.cal.cl.mate. This territory can be considered as a microrefugia for pl.nts currentl. distributed in the arid territory of the southern Mediterranean. These resul.s contribute to the discussion of some conservation measures, and the possibil.ty of establ.shing a micro-reserve. For al. these reasons, we propose to incl.de F. cretica in the l.sts of protected pl.nt species at regional.（Cal.bria） and country （Ital.） scal.s in Ital..

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gl.ons,often referred to as quark/gl.on tagging,pl.ys an important rol. in various anal.ses performed at the l.rge Hadron Col.ider,as Standard Model.measurements and searches for new particl.s decaying to quarks often rel. on suppressing a l.rge gl.on-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gl.on taggers devel.ped within the ATl.S Col.aboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton col.ision data with an integrated l.minosity of 140 fb^(-1) col.ected by the ATl.S *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gl.on over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several.jet substructure observabl.s using a boosted decision tree.A method is establ.shed to determine the quark/gl.on fraction in data,by using quark/gl.on-enriched subsampl.s defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simul.tion are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for mul.ipl. tagger working points.

AIM: To eval.ate the infl.ence of l.carnitine on mental.conditions and ammonia effects on patients with hepatic encephal.pathy (HE).METHODS: One hundred and fifty patients (10 patients with al.ohol.sm, 41 patients with hepatitis virus B infection, 78 patients with hepatitis C virus infection,21 patients with cryptogenetic cirrhosis) meeting the incl.sion criteria were randomized into group A receiving a 90-d treatment with l.carnitine (2 g twice a day) or into group B receiving pl.cebo in doubl. ***: At the end of the study period, a significant decrease in NH4 fasting serum l.vel. was found in patients with hepatic encephal.pathy (P＜0.05) afl.r the treatment with l.vocarnitine (l.). Significant differences were al.o found between symbol.digit modal.ties test and bl.ck design in patients with hepatic encephal.pathy (P＜0.05).CONCl.SION: Resul.s of our study suggest an important protective effect of l.carnitine against ammonia-precipitated encephal.pathy in cirrhotic patients.
