Computing has become more invisible, widespread and ubiquitoussince the inception of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Web of Things. Multipledevices that surround us meet user’s requirements everywhere. Multiple Middleware Framework (MF) designs have come into existence because of the rapiddevelopment of interactive services in Heterogeneous Systems. This resulted inthe delivery of interactive services throughout Heterogeneous Environments(HE). Users are given free navigation between devices in a widespread environment and continuously interact with each other from any chosen device. Numerous interactive devices with recent interactive platforms (for example, SmartPhones, Mobile Phones, Personal Computer (PC) and Personal Digital Assistant(PDA)) are available in the market. For easy access to information and servicesirrespective of the device used for working and even at the drastic change ofthe environment, the execution of applications on a broad spectrum of computingdevices is propelled by the availability of the above-mentioned platforms. Different applications that need interoperability to coordinate and correspond with eachother should be facilitated. Using a standard interface and data format, HE mustlink various devices from various platforms together to communicate with eachother. To aid the interactive services performed by a middleware framework thatoperates on Application Programming Interface (API) over HEs, this issue aims toendorse an Adaptable Service Application Programming Interface (ASAPI).

This article shows the quality of services in a wireless swarm of drones that form an ad hoc network between them Fly Ad Hoc Networks(FANET).Each drone has the ability to send and receive information(like a router);and can behave as a hierarchical node whit the intregration of three protocols:Multiprotocol Label Switch(MPLS),Fast Hierarchical AD Hoc Mobile(FHAM)and Internet Protocol version 6(IPv6),in conclusion MPLS+FHAM+*** metrics analyzed in the FANET are:delay,jitter,throughput,lost and sent packets/*** process was carried out with swarms composed of 10,20,30 and 40 units;In this work,the stage with 40 droneswas analyzed showing registration processes,and sentmessages sequences between different drones that were part of the same swarm.A special analysis about the traffic between drones(end-to-end)was carried out,as well as the possible security flaws in each drone and the current status and future trends in real *** future trends,in a real environment,we took as a starting point,metrics results obtained in the simulation(positive according to the obtained results).These results gave us a clear vision of how the network will behave in a real environment with the aim to carry out the experiment on a physical level in the near *** work also shows the experience quality from the service quality metrics obtained through a mathematical *** quality of experience model will allow us to use it objectively in the agricultural sector,which is a great interest area and is where we are working with *** in this article we show our advances for a business model applied to the aforementioned agricultural sector,as well as the data analysis and services available to the end *** services available to the end customer have been classified into a basic,medium,advanced and plus level.

In the recent days, the segmentation of Liver Tumor (LT) has beendemanding and challenging. The process of segmenting the liver and accuratelyspotting the tumor is demanding due to the diversity of shape, texture, and intensity of the liver image. The intensity similarities of the neighboring organs of theliver create difficulties during liver segmentation. The manual segmentation doesnot provide an accurate segmentation because the results provided by differentmedical experts can vary. Also, this manual technique requires a large numberof image slices and time for segmentation. To solve these issues, the Fully Automatic Segmentation (FAS) technique is proposed. In this proposed Multi-AngleTexture Active Contour Model (MAT-ACM) method, the input Computed Tomography (CT) image is preprocessed by Contrast Enhancement (CE) with Non-Linear Mapping Technique (NLMT), in which the liver is differentiated from itsneighbouring soft tissues with related strength. Then, the filtered images are givenas the input to Adaptive Edge Modeling (AEM) with Canny Edge Detection(CED) technique, which segments the Liver Region (LR) from the given CTimages. An AEM with a CED model is implemented, which increases the convergence speed of the iterative process for decreasing the Volumetric Overlap Error(VOE) is 6.92% rates when compared with the traditional Segmentation Techniques (ST). Finally, the Liver Tumor Segmentation (LTS) is developed by applyingthe MAT-ACM, which accurately segments the LR from the segmented LRs. Theevaluation of the proposed method is compared with the existing LTS methodsusing various performance measures to prove the superiority of the proposedMAT-ACM method.

Exploring alternative treatments for Helicobacter pylori infection

Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) is a successful pathogen that can persist in the stomach of an infected person for their entire life. It provokes chronic gastric inflammation that leads to the development of serious gastric diseases such as peptic ulcers, gastric cancer and Mucosa associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma. It is known that these ailments can be avoided if the infection by the bacteria can be prevented or eradicated. Currently, numerous antibiotic-based therapies are available. However, these therapies have several inherent problems, including the appearance of resistance to the antibiotics used and associated adverse effects, the risk of re-infection and the high cost of antibiotic therapy. The delay in developing a vaccine to prevent or eradicate the infection has furthered research into new therapeutic approaches. This review summarises the most relevant recent studies on vaccine development and new treatments using natural resources such as plants, probiotics and nutraceuticals. In addition, novel alternatives based on microorganisms, peptides, polysaccharides, and intragastric violet light irradiation are presented. Alternative therapies have not been effective in eradicating the bacteria but have been shown to maintain low bacterial levels. Nevertheless, some of them are useful in preventing the adverse effects of antibiotics, modulating the immune response, gastroprotection, and the general promotion of health. Therefore, those agents can be used as adjuvants of allopathic anti-H. pylori eradication therapy.

Internet of Medical Things(IoMT)enabled e-healthcare has the potential to greately improve conventional healthcare services ***,security and privacy become major issues of IoMT because of the restricted processing abilities,storage,and energy constraints of the ***,it leads to infeasibility of developing traditional cryptographic solutions to the IoMT *** order to ensure security on sensitive medical data,effective encryption and authentication techniques need to be designed to assure security of the patients and healthcare service *** this view,this study designs an effective metaheuristic optimization based encryption with user authentication(EMOE-UA)technique for IoMT *** work proposes an EMOE-UA technique aims to accomplish mutual authentication for addressing the security issues and reducing the computational ***,the EMOE-UA technique employs optimal multikey homomorphic encryption(OMKHE)technique to encrypt the IoMT ***,the improved social spider optimization algorithm(ISSOA)was employed for the optimal multikey generation of the MKHE *** experimental result analysis of the EMOE-UA technique takes place using benchmark data and the results are examined under various *** simulation results reported the considerably better performance of the EMOE-UA technique over the existing techniques.

Deep convolutional neural network for damaged vegetation segmentation from RGB images based on virtual NIR-channel estimation

Performing accurate and automated semantic segmentation of vegetation is a first algorithmic step towards more complex models that can extract accurate biological information on crop health,weed presence and phenological state,among ***,models based on normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI),near infrared channel(NIR)or RGB have been a good indicator of vegetation ***,these methods are not suitable for accurately segmenting vegetation showing damage,which precludes their use for downstream phenotyping *** this paper,we propose a comprehensive method for robust vegetation segmentation in RGB images that can cope with damaged *** method consists of a first regression convolutional neural network to estimate a virtual NIR channel from an RGB ***,we compute two newly proposed vegetation indices from this estimated virtual NIR:the infrared-dark channel subtraction(IDCS)and infrared-dark channel ratio(IDCR)***,both the RGB image and the estimated indices are fed into a semantic segmentation deep convolutional neural network to train a model to segment vegetation regardless of damage or *** model was tested on 84 plots containing thirteen vegetation species showing different degrees of damage and acquired over 28 *** results show that the best segmentation is obtained when the input image is augmented with the proposed virtual NIR channel(F1=0:94)and with the proposed IDCR and IDCS vegetation indices(F1=0:95)derived from the estimated NIR channel,while the use of only the image or RGB indices lead to inferior performance(RGB(F1=0:90)NIR(F1=0:82)or NDVI(F1=0:89)channel).The proposed method provides an end-to-end land cover map segmentation method directly from simple RGB images and has been successfully validated in real field conditions.

Time series from fisheries often contain multiple missing *** is a severe limitation that prevents using the data for research on population dynamics,stock assessment,forecasting,and,hence,decision-making around marine *** methods have been proposed to impute missing data in univariate time ***,their performances depend not only on the amount of missing data but also on the data *** study compares the performance of twelve imputation methods on the time series of marine fishery landings for six species in the Colombian Pacific *** other studies,we validate the precision of the imputations in the same target time series that include missing data,using the Known Sub-Sequence Algorithm(KSSA),a novelty validation approach that simulates missing data in known sub-sequences of the target time *** results showed that the best methods for imputation are Seasonal Decomposition with Kalman filters and Structural Models with Kalman filters fitted by maximum *** also show that validating the imputation methods with other time series different to the target time series,leads to wrong imputation methods *** is noteworthy that these methods and also the validation framework are mainly suited to time series with non-random distribution of missing data,this is,missing data produced systematically in chunks or clusters with predictable frequency,which are common in marine sciences.

Energy Balance Data from Lactating Dairy Goats Offered Total Mixed Diets

The objective of the study was to develop a univariate model for analyzing energy balance data from lactating goats at mid lactation and determine maintenance requirements and partial efficiencies of energy utilization. Energy balance data from eight studies involving lactating Murciano-Granadina goats fed total mixed diets, which accounted for a variation in metabolizable energy (MEI) intake, milk energy output (EI), and tissue energy balance, were used. The database included records obtained by indirect calorimetry. Data were adjusted with a mixed model that included the study as a random effect. Then, two multivariate linear models were obtained: metabolizable and net energy models. The metabolizable model was MEI=β0+β2E1+β3Tg+β4T1+ε and the net energy model was E1=β0+β1MEI+β2Tg+β3T1+ε;where β0, β1, β2 and β3 were the parameters, Tg was tissue energy retention and Tl the milk energy derived from body stores. For a better fitted proposed model, net energy for maintenance (NEm) was 283 kJ/kg of Body Weight 0.75 (BW) per day, and the efficiency of utilization of ME for lactation (k1), body weight gain (kg) and body tissue mobilization for milk production (kt) were 62%, 83% and 78%, respectively. Maintenance requirements and partial efficiencies for milk production and tissue energy mobilization were similar to the values proposed by INRA (2018). The increase in the efficiency of utilizing dietary energy for gain, compared with other feeding systems, was partially attributed to the stage of lactation, due to that goats were feeding at mid lactation.
