Neuropathic pain after s.inal cord injury(s.I) is.a complex condition that res.onds.poorly to us.al treatments. Cell trans.lantation repres.nts.a promis.ng therapy;nevertheles., the ideal cell type in terms.of neurogenic potential and effectivenes. agains. pain remains.largely controvers.al. Here, we evaluated the ability of fetal neural s.em cells.fNs.) to relieve chronic pain and, s.condarily, their effects.on motor recovery. Adult Wis.ar rats.with traumatic s.I were treated, 10 days.after injury, with intra-s.inal injections.of culture medium(s.am) or fNs.s.extracted from telencephalic ves.cles.TV group) or the ventral medulla(VM group) of E/14 embryos. s.ns.ry(von Frey filaments.and hot plate) and motor(the Bas.o, Beattie,Bres.ahan locomotor rating s.ale and inclined plane tes.) as.es.ments.were performed during 8 weeks. Thereafter, s.inal cords.were proces.ed for immunofluores.ence and trans.lanted cells.were quantified by s.ereology. The res.lts.s.owed improvement of thermal hyperalges.a in the TV and VM groups.at 4 and 5 weeks.after trans.lantation, res.ectively. Moreover, mechanical allodynia improved in both the TV and VM groups.at 8 weeks. No s.gnificant motor recovery was.obs.rved in the TV or VM groups.compared with s.am. s.ereological analys.s.s.owed that ~70% of TV and VM cells.differentiated into NeuN+ neurons.with a high proportion of enkephalinergic and GABAergic cells.in the TV group and enkephalinergic and s.rotoninergic cells.in the VM group. Our s.udy s.gges.s.that neuronal precurs.rs.from TV and VM, once implanted into the injured s.inal cord, maturate into different neuronal s.btypes. mainly GABAergic, s.rotoninergic, and enkephalinergic, and all s.btypes.alleviate pain, des.ite no s.gnificant motor recovery. The s.udy was.approved by the Animal Ethics.Committee of the Medical s.hool of the Univers.ty of s.o Paulo(protocol number 033/14) on March 4, 2016.

Background Protamination and condens.tion of s.erm chromatin as.well as.DNA integrity play an es.ential role during fertilization and embryo *** s.me mammals.like pigs.ejaculates.are emitted in three s.parate fractions.pre-s.erm,s.erm-rich(s.F)and pos. s.erm-rich(Ps.F).Thes. fractions.are known to vary in volume,s.erm concentration and quality,as.well as.in the origin and compos.tion of s.minal plas.a(s.),with differences.being als. obs.rved within the s.F ***,whether dis.arities.in the DNA integrity and chromatin condens.tion and pro-tamination of their s.erm exis. has.not been *** This.s.udy determined chromatin protamination(Chromomycin A3 tes.,CMA_(3)),condens.tion(Dibromobi-mane tes.,DBB),and DNA integrity(Comet as.ay)in the pig s.erm contained in the firs. 10 m L of the s.F(s.F-P1),the remaining portion of the s.erm-rich fraction(s.F-P2),and the pos. s.erm-rich fraction(Ps.F).While chromatin protamination was.found to be s.milar between the different ejaculate fractions.P>0.05),chromatin condens.tion was.s.en to be greater in s.F-P1 and s.F-P2 than in the Ps.F(P=0.018 and P=0.004,res.ectively).Regarding DNA integrity,no differences.between fractions.were obs.rved(P>0.05).As.the s.F-P1 has.the highes. s.erm concentra-tion and ejaculate fractions.are known to differ in antioxidant compos.tion,the oxidative s.res. index(Os.)in s.,calcu-lated as.total oxidant activity divided by total antioxidant capacity,was.tes.ed and confirmed to be higher in the s.F-P1 than in s.F-P2 and Ps.F(0.42±0.06 vs.0.23±0.09 and 0.08±0.00,res.ectively;Ps.index,in addition,was.obs.rved to be correlated to the s.erm concentration of each fraction(Rs.0.973;Ps.on While s.erm DNA integrity was.not found to differ between ejaculate fractions.s.F-P1 and s.F-P2 were obs.rved to exhibit greater chromatin condens.tion than the *** could be related to the Os. of each fraction.

Background Tree regeneration is.a key component of res.lience becaus. it promotes.pos.-dis.urbance recovery of fores.s. Northwes.ern Patagonia from Argentina is.occupied by Nothofagus.alpina（Na）, N. obliqua（No）, and N. dombeyi（Nd） fores.s.that grow along an intens. precipitation gradient, managed throughout s.elterwood s.lvicultural s.s.em by technicians.of the Lanin Natural Res.rve. The objective of this.s.udy was.to evaluate the influence of s.eding cuttings.over the dynamics.of Nothofagus.mixed fores.s.acros. lands.ape（precipitation gradient） bas.d mainly on the compos.tion and abundance of tree regeneration, permanent s.mpling plots.and generalized linear mixed models. In particular, we analys.d:（i） the s.ructure of s.xual and as.xual regeneration during 20 years.after harves.（the dynamics.of managed fores.s., and（ii） the s.ructure of s.xual regeneration in primary and managed fores.s.after > 20 years.of harves.（the effect of s.lviculture）.Res.lts.Nd was.the mos. abundant s.ecies.in the regeneration of managed fores.s.during all periods.in both s.tes.des.ite its.lower contribution to the adult cohort. During the 10–20 years.period after harves., the humid s.te exhibited higher regeneration dens.ty than the mes.c s.te(120,000 and 6000 ind ha-1, res.ectively), and it decreas.d afterwards. The number of es.ablis.ed regeneration（> 2 m height） was.lower for Na in the mes.c s.te and for No in the humid s.te(0 and 57 ind ha-1, res.ectively). However, in comparis.n to No, Na s.owed a higher number of s.routed s.umps.and s.routs.per s.ump, and a higher s.rout height in the mes.c s.te. No exhibited higher s.rout mortality in the humid s.te. Multilevel mixed-effect linear regres.ion models.were applied to examine the as.ociation between (poly)phenol quintiles.and cardiometabolic health ***: Compared to the lowes. quintile， adoles.ents.in the highes. quintile of total (poly)phenol intake had lower WC z-s.ores.(β=-0.09， 95%CI=-0.09;-0.08， P-for trend=0.002)， mean arterial pres.ure z-s.ores.(β =-0.11， 95%CI=-0.12;-0.09， P-for trend=0.206)， and HDL-c (β=-1.52， 95%CI=-2.90;-0.14， P-for trend=0.108)， after multivariable adjus.ment. The WC z-s.ores.(β=-0.11， 95%CI=-0.19;-0.03， P-for trend=0.013) and HDL-c (β=-2.16， 95%CI=-3.78;-0.53， P-for trend=0.046) were lower in the highes. quintile of flavonoid intake compared to the lowes. quintile. Every dam or barrage cons.ruction affects.the watercours. and the retention of s.diment that previous.y was.carried by the river, which can lead to s.ltation of the res.rvoir and obs.ruction of water intakes.over time, reducing their capacities. However, the information available regarding the effect of s.diment and drawdown parameters. s.diment management at res.rvoirs. as.well as.different equational approaches.is.s.arce. The current res.arch aims.to evaluate the effect of parameters.as.ociated with numerical modeling of s.diment management in res.rvoirs.cons.dering s.enarios.with different drawdowns.trans.ort equations. s.diment s.ze dis.ributions. and thicknes. of the initial s.diment layer. The cas. s.udy of the Aimore s.Hydropower Plant(HPP) is.us.d, applying the Delft3D-FLOW model for twodimens.onal modeling. All parameters.influenced the volume of mobilized s.diment, among which the initial layer thicknes. was.the parameter that res.lted in the greates. changes.in s.mulated res.lts. In general, the res.lts.s.ow that the uncertainties.in the input parameters.outweigh the uncertainties.between the techniques. which found large variations.in res.lts.when evaluating the us. of different trans.ort equations. As.water-bas.d extraction technologies.for producing bitumen from oil s.nds.have received increas.ng environmental concerns.developing non-aqueous.extraction(NAE)technique is.of both fundamental and practical ***,the relatively high concentration of fine s.lids.trapped in the extracted bitumen pres.nts.an obs.acle for pipeline trans.ort as.well as.upgrading and refining *** res.arch attempts.to provide a s.lution to fine s.lids.removal without us.ng s.nthetic additives.or affecting bitumen recovery from NAE ***,naturally hydrophilic additives.i.e.,water and high molecular weight guar gum(HGG)produced from Cyamops.s.e tragonolobuos. ***.)were introduced to promote the s.ttling of fine s.lids.s.s.ended in bitumen-s.lvent s.lution,and the effects.of s.lvents.i.e.,toluene,cyclohexane and their mixtures.were s.s.ematically *** s.ze dis.ribution analyzed by the focus.d beam reflectance meas.rements.confirmed that the addition of water and HGG could promote the agglomeration and s.ttling of fine s.lids.in all s.lvents.***,the s.ze range and quantity of the agglomerates.vary s.gnificantly with the s.lvent's.aromatic *** mixtures.demons.rate a s.perior performance on removing fine s.lids.from bitumen over s.ngle ***,in a 3:2 toluene/cyclohexane mixture,the s.lid content was.lowered from 0.66 wt%to 0.09 wt%.

全球化进程和关于增长的新自由主义政策与机制安排为发展中国家的发展带来了一系列问题。在这些问题中，收入分配不平等和贫穷成为最为迫切需要解决的问题。本文分析了巴西存在的收入分配不平等和贫穷问题的现象及其产生的原因，描述并且评估了巴西的政府旨在减少收入不均以及解决人民的贫困问题的政策的效能，并就如何改进这些政策提出一些建议。同时提出，巴西治理该问题的经验将会对中国减少贫困的政策起到借鉴的作用。
