In this work, we propose an approach to model the basic parameters of a silicon solar cell (n+/p/p+) by optimizing the doping rate and the thickness of the base using Matlab Simulink. This technique applies to electrical parameters such as the short-circuit current (Jcc) and the open-circuit voltage (Vco). These parameters are mainly related to the variations in the doping rate and the thickness of the solar cell. So, optimizing these parameters could offer the possibility of better taking into account the influence of temperature and improving the quality of the solar cell. This technique consists of determining the optimum thickness and the optimum doping rate. And this allowed us to observe using graphs the behavior of the solar cell under different values of temperature.

Fertility after Neosalpingostomy through Laparoscopic Way in Point “G” Teaching Hospital

The endoscopic surgery is actually the golden standard for the management of infertility. Its results look better than classical surgery. The aim of the study was to assess the fertility rate among infertile women who have undergone a laparoscopic distal tubal plasty and to estimate factors influencing this fertility. From January 2007 to December 2016 a descriptive and analytical cross sectional retrospective study was conducted in the departments of general and laparoscopic surgery of the Point “G” Teaching Hospital in Bamako, Mali. Clinical records of 120 laparoscopic patients with distal tubal occlusion who have undergone a neosalpingostomy were collected. Average period of infertility was 6.7 years (from 1 to 25 years), and the average duration before laparoscopic surgery was 5 years. Main abnormalities were: 50 cases of bilateral tubal distal occlusion (41.7%), 14 patients with unilateral tubal distal occlusion (11.7%), 44 cases of bilateral hydrosalpinx (36.6%) and 12 cases with unilateral occlusion (10.0%). Seventeen patients had adhesions (14.1%) including 4.0% of tubo-peritoneal adhesions, 35.5% of tubo-ovary adhesions and Fitz Hugh and Curtis syndrom adhesions in 17.7% of cases. More than half of the patients (58.0%) had a grade II tubal score. Neosalpingostomy had led to bilateral tubal repermeabilization among 60.0% of the patients. Thirty two point five percent (39/120) pregnancies have been observed after the management. Conception probability was null after the 4th post operative year. The majority of pregnancies have been observed in the 11th month after laparoscopic management. During the follow-up, thirty one patients had intrauterine pregnancy (79.5%), four ectopic pregnancies and three miscarriages. The occurrence of pregnancy was influenced by the desire of the woman, the absence of co-morbidity, the tubal score, the result and the quality of the laparoscopic gesture and the duration of the fertility. Splenic infarction is a rare condition (1/500,000 and 1/100,000) but potentially fatal. The prognosis depends on the diagnostic delay and above all on the speed of treatment. It usually occurs in a particular area such as myeloproliferative syndrome, sickle cell anemia, thalassemia etc. The objective of this work was to report a clinical case of necrosis of the spleen.

The issue of wound care has always played an important role in the practice of medicine. This is evidenced by Ambroise Paré’s decision to publish his first work on this subject, “La manière de traiter les Plaies” (The Way of Treating Wounds) in 1545. Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic methods we practice and to describe the impact of the pathology on socio-economic and professional development. Patients and Method: This was a retrospective study carried out at the Fousseyni Daou Hospital in Kayes from January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2020. We included all patients with an ulcero-necrotic wound on immunocompetent terrain hospitalized in the department. Patients with ulcerative necrotic wounds of diabetes, HIV, or cancerous origin were not included. The parameters studied were: etiologies, local care, sequelae, and socio-economic and professional aspects. Results: We collected 57 patients of whom 43 were men and 14 were women, i.e. a sex ratio of 3. The mean age was 40.7 years with a standard deviation of 8.4 with extremes (7 years and 80 years). The average consultation time was 25.1 days. The most represented socio-professional stratum was agropastoralism in 37 cases (65%). The predominant etiological factor was neglected traumatic wounds in 34 cases (59.6%). The site was the lower limb in 39 cases (68.5%). The germ found was Staphylococcus aureus in 21 cases (36.8%). The particularity during local care was the use of table sugar in 9 cases (15.7%) and maggot therapy in 2 cases (3.5%). Hyperthermia was the clinical sign of aggravation in 22 cases (38.6%) and we diagnosed 2 cases (3.5%) of tetanus. The mortality rate was 15.7% (9 cases) and 30 cases (52.7%) of sequelae after recovery. The average length of hospitalization was 38 days. Hospital care was provided by the social welfare service in 35 cases (61.4%). Nineteen (19) patients (39.5%) were unable to resume their socio-professional activity. Necrotizing fasciitis is an uncommon infection, but potentially lethal, especially when associated with systemic disorders such as diabetes. We report the case of a 35-year-old female with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, presenting with edema of the neck, facial and left mammary gland, secondary to untreated dental infection, progressing to a full-blown necrotizing fasciitis in a short period of time with sepsis. The patient was managed with aggressive multidisciplinary medical and surgical treatment. Despite the technologic advances in diagnosis and treatment, complications still result with astounding high mortality. Clearly, the morbidity associated to this infection, even in diabetic patients, can be minimized if an early diagnosis and effective debridement are done.

Traumatic diaphragmatic rupture (TDR) is very rare in the pediatric age group. Because of its rarity and its coexistence with more injuries, the diagnosis is often delayed. Very little has been written about this condition in the pediatric age group. TDR, while uncommon, should be considered in cases of blunt thoracic trauma. All patients should undergo meticulous examination preoperatively. The clinical presentation and importance of making an accurate diagnosis and surgery is highlighted. We report a case of secondary spontaneous traumatic left-sided diaphragmatic rupture in a child that was managed by delayed surgical repair.

Microbiological and Physico-Chemical Analysis of the Waters of the “Mamouwol” Stream in the Urban District of Mamou (Republic of Guinea)

Water is essential to life and to the sustainable socio-economic development of a nation, It is therefore interesting to have a better knowledge of the quality of this water. The aim was to determine the degree of microbiological and physico-chemical pollution of the water of the “Mamouwol” river in the town of Mamou. To do this, we chose four (4) sampling sites spread throughout the town of Mamou. During the month of March (2024), 4 water samples were analyzed to monitor the water quality of this river. The average values of the flora analyzed show that these water are heavily contaminated with bacteria indicative of fecal and metal pollution. This study showed that sites: Mam4;Mam2 and Mam1 contain the highest loads, with Total Coliform counts ranging from 1534 CFU/100 ml to 2100 CFU/100 ml, the number of faecal coliforms varies between 526 and 1240 CFU/100 ml, and that of faecal streptococci between 526 and 841 CFU/100 ml. Metal content, BOD5 and COD all comply with the laboratory’s analysis criteria, although they vary from point to point.
