The benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(PA)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of PA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(mSK)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving mSK anatomy knowledge,PA levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of mSK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in PA based interventions to supplement mSK course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating PA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.

试验选择Katahdin×Pelibuey杂交羊(体重24±0.3 kg)16只来研究垂柳(SB)和银合欢(ll)叶提取物对瘤胃pH、总不饱和脂肪酸和单不饱和脂肪酸(VFA)、NH3-N浓度、尿嘌呤衍生物(PD)的排泄量和微生物蛋白合成的影响。饲喂含有CP 219 g·kg-1和NDF 141 g·kg-1的全混合日粮(TmR)。试验分为4个处理:对照组(不添加提取物),SB(SB 30 ml·d-1),ll(ll 30 ml·d-1),SBll(SB 30 ml·d-1+ll 30 ml·d-1)。每天早上饲喂前口服给药。在试验22 d(P1)、43 d(P2)和63 d(P3)进行测量。SBll组的瘤胃pH上升(P=0.014),SB组下降。与对照组相比,SBll组醋酸与丙酸的比升高(P=0.042)。各处理和试验期对瘤胃NH3-N浓度无显著影响。处理组的原虫数无显著影响(P=0.489),但与P1、P2相比,P3阶段的原虫数降低(Pll组相比,SB和ll组的尿酸浓度显著提高(P0.05)。研究发现,在63 d时垂柳和银合欢提取物或两者1:1混合对瘤胃发酵、尿嘌呤排出量及微生物蛋白合成影响较小。

The Hunga Tonga Hunga Ha’apai submarine volcano has experienced repeated eruptions in the latest *** recent one,in January 2022,released an enormous amount of energy inducing global perturbations,as tsunamis and atmospheric *** structure of the volcano is poorly understood,especially its internal ***-seated magmatic connections are difficult to define or *** use a high-resolution gravity data set obtained via satellite to calculate the Bouguer anomaly over its structure,to perform a preliminary exploration of its *** 3D gravity inversions,we find a complex plumbing system with various exhaust trajectories and multiple surface pockets of low-density material within the volcanic edifice;some appear to be associated with ring *** is in line with the report of the 2009 eruption,described as beginning from multiple *** found no signs of a magma chamber within 6 km depth,although several volcanic conduits are identified from such depth to the *** variations occur within a plumbing conduit or may vary from one conduit to another in the same *** models yield quantitative estimates for areas of magma-water interaction,constituting a baseline to compare with structural changes to be induced in future eruptions.

BACKGROUND The features of Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS) include exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, skeletal abnormalities and bone marrow dysfunction;an often overlooked feature is hepatic involvement. CASE SUmmARY We report a child who initially presented with failure to thrive and mildly elevated transaminase levels and was determined to have pancreatic insufficiency due to SDS. During follow-up he had persistently elevated transaminase levels and developed hepatosplenomegaly. An investigation was performed to determine the etiology of ongoing liver injury, including a liver biopsy which revealed hepatic cirrhosis. CONClUSION Cirrhosis has rarely been reported with SDS. While many of the hepatic disorders associated with SDS improve with age, there are rare exceptions with serious implications for long-term outcome.

AIm:To determine initial medication adherence in newly diagnosed glaucoma patients treated with anti-glaucoma ***:This retrospective and observational study included all patients diagnosed with glaucoma in the Primary Health Care units in Portugal during the years 2012 and 2013,which in consequence received a first prescription for anti-glaucoma *** was collected from electronic prescribing records of the primary care units and from pharmacy claims *** of glaucoma treatment and early discontinuation were measured,and the combination of(non)-initiation and early discontinuation accounted for initial medication(non)-***:A total of 3548 new glaucoma patients(40.1%male;59.9%female)were *** 1133(31.9%)patients were initially classified as non-users,since there was no pharmacy claim found for their first prescription for glaucoma ***,277(11.5%)patients early discontinued their treatment,acquiring only their first ***,the initial medication non-adherence rate was 39.7%since 1410 patients either didn’t initiate treatment or discontinued it ***:This study,reveals a major opportunity to improve glaucoma treatment and its control,since a large proportion of patients fail to engage with their prescribed therapy,which implies that implementation of individual or group strategies that enable patients with glaucoma to correctly perform their treatment is still needed.

Hard coatings are used to improve the wear resistance of metals which largely depends on adhesion between substrate and *** wear and friction behavior of uncoated and TiCN-coated D2,m2 and m4 steels were evaluated by apin-on-disk test under lubricated *** order to evaluate the influence of lubricant on wear performance,dry friction tests were also *** results showed that friction coefficients were very similar for both uncoated and TiCN-coated *** lubricated conditions,the uncoated D2 tool steel exhibited the lowest friction coefficient,but the TiCN-coated D2 steel presented the smallest wear *** was the main wear mechanism in all the ***,microhardness measurements were carried out,finding an influence of the steel substrate on the hardness of the ***,adhesion test was conducted,suggesting agood adhesion of class 1 between substrates and TiCN coatings.

Spinal cord injury remains a major cause of disability in young adults,and beyond acute decompression and rehabilitation,there are no pharmacological treatments to limit the progression of injury and optimize recovery in this *** the thorough investigation of the complement system in triggering and propagating cerebral neuroinflammation,a similar role for complement in spinal neuroinflammation is a focus of ongoing *** this work,we survey the current literature investigating the role of complement in spinal cord injury including the sources of complement proteins,triggers of complement activation,and role of effector functions in the *** study relevant data demonstrating the different triggers of complement activation after spinal cord injury including direct binding to cellular debris,and or activation via antibody binding to damage-associated molecular *** effector functions of complement have been implicated in spinal cord injury,and we critically evaluate recent studies on the dual role of complement anaphylatoxins in spinal cord injury while emphasizing the lack of pathophysiological understanding of the role of opsonins in spinal cord *** this pathophysiological review,we systematically review the different translational approaches used in preclinical models of spinal cord injury and discuss the challenges for future translation into human *** review emphasizes the need for future studies to dissect the roles of different complement pathways in the pathology of spinal cord injury,to evaluate the phases of involvement of opsonins and anaphylatoxins,and to study the role of complement in white matter degeneration and regeneration using translational strategies to supplement genetic models.

As a result of agriculture practices, million tons of agriculture are produced as a secondary or by-products; however, with low nutritive values. many methods are applied to improve the nutritive value and increase its utilization in ruminant＇s nutrition. The biological treatments are the most common with more safe-treated products. In most cases, the biological treatments are paralleled with decreased crude fiber and fiber fractions content with increased crude protein content. Direct-fed microbial and exogenous enzymes to animal are other ways of biological methods for improving nutritive value of feeds. Here in this review, we will try to cover the biological treatments of by-products from different sides view with different types of animals and different animal end-products.
