The Relationship Between Training Volume and BmI in the Expression of Running Performance in Runners: A mediation model

In this work, the study of the influences of lifetime, doping concentration and absorption layer thickness to resistant- area product (R0A) and quantum efficiency of Pb1-xSnxSe photovoltaic detector are presented. Three fundamental current mechanisms including diffusion, generation-recombination, and tunneling models are considered. Using optimal doping concentration and absorption layer thickness parameters, the calculated detectivity (D*) of Pb1-xSnxSe photovoltaic detector is over 1012 cm Hz1/2/W.

The purpose of this investigation was to use the RPE clamp protocol to examine sex-related differences in performance fati-gability and neuromuscular responses as the result of a sustained isometric leg extension muscle action anchored to RPE=*** adults(10 men,10 women)performed sustained muscle actions at RPE=2 for *** voluntary isometric contractions(mVIC)were performed prior to and following the sustained muscle ***(electromyographic and mechanomyographic)parameters and force were recorded,and the values were normalized to respective mVICs and cal-culated every 5%across the 5-min work *** artery blood flow(FABF)was assessed at pretest,immediately posttest,and 5-min *** regression was used to define the individual and composite normalized neuromuscular and force versus time relationships during the sustained muscle *** factorial ANOVAs were used to examine differences in performance fatigability and blood *** performance fatigability,the men(62.4±14.4 kg-43.1±11.5 kg)exhibited a significantly(PmVIC than the women(44.1±4.8 kg vs.38.1±6.1 kg).There were different fatigue-induced neuromuscular patterns of responses between the men and women across *** blood flow responses,however,there was no sex-related difference,but pretest(283.3±70.8 mL/min)was significantly(Pmmediately posttest(424.5±133.5 mL/min)and 5-min posttest(324.4±78.3 mL/min).Thus,men demonstrated a greater degree of performance fatigability than the women,which was independent of differences in *** such as the neuromuscular system and muscle morphology likely contributed to the difference in performance fatigability.

Using Pharmacokinetic modeling and Electronic Health Record Data to Predict Clinical and Safety Outcomes after methylprednisolone Exposure during Cardiopulmonary Bypass in Neonates

Background:Infants undergoing cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB)frequently receive intraoperative methylprednisolone(mP)to suppress CPB-related inflammation;however,the optimal dosing strategy and efficacy of mP remain ***:We retrospectively analyzed all infants under 90 days-old who received intra-operative mP for cardiac surgery with CPB from 2014–2017 at our *** combined real-world dosing data from the electronic health record(EHR)and two previously developed population pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic models to simulate peak concentration(Cmax)and area under the concentration-time curve for 24 h(AUC24)for mP and the inflammatory cytokines interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-10(IL-10).We evaluated the relationships between post-operative,safety,and other clinical outcomes obtained from the EHR with each predicted exposure using non-parametric ***:A total of 142 infants with median post-natal age 8(interquartile range[IQR]:5,37)days received a total dose of 30(19,49)mg/kg of ***(8%)died,37(26%)met the composite post-operative outcome,114(80%)met the composite safety outcome,and 23(16%)had a major *** median Cmax and AUC24 IL-6 exposure was significantly higher for infants meeting the composite post-operative outcome and those with major *** median Cmax and AUC24 mP exposure was significantly higher for infants requiring *** exposure was associated with death or other safety ***:Pro-inflammatory IL-6,but not mP exposure,was associated with post-operative organ dysfunction,suggesting current mP dosing may not adequately suppress IL-6 or increase IL-10 to impact clinical *** study will be required to define the optimal exposure-efficacy and exposure-safety profiles in these infants.

High resolution strain mapping of a single axially heterostructured nanowire using scanning X-ray diffraction

Axially heterostructured nanowires are a promising platform for next generation electronic and optoelectronic *** based on theoretical modeling have predicted more complex strain distributions and increased critical layer thicknesses than in thin films,due to lateral strain relaxation at the surface,but the understanding of the growth and strain distributions in these complex structures is hampered by the lack of high-resolution characterization ***,we demonstrate strain mapping of an axially segmented GalnP-lnP 190 nm diameter nanowire heterostructure using scanning X-ray *** systematically investigate the strain distribution and lattice tilt in three different segment lengths from 45 to 170 nm,obtaining strain maps with about 10^-4 relative strain *** experiments were performed using the 90 nm diameter nanofocus at the NanomAX beamline,taking advantage of the high coherent flux from the first diffraction limited storage ring mAX *** experimental results are in good agreement with a full simulation of the experiment based on a three-dimensional(3D)finite element *** largest segments show a complex profile,where the lateral strain relaxation at the surface leads to a dome-shaped strain distribution from the mismatched interfaces,and a change from tensile to compressive strain within a single *** lattice tilt maps show a cross-shaped profile with excellent qualitative and quantitative agreement with the *** contrast,the shortest measured InP segment is almost fully adapted to the surrounding GalnP segments.

The aim of this study to investigate the physico-chemical properties of soils from Diguel and Koudalwa Tchad,and phytoremediation potentials of acasia and kinkeliba plants in removing Cr and Cu from these *** was sampled from the tannery plant in Diguel and agricultural land around crude oil activities in *** were characterized by the following properties:pH,(Electrical Conductivity),TDS(Total Dissolved Solids),salinity,bulk density,Om(Organic matter),nitrate,phosphate,clay,silt,sand,and textural *** acasia and kinkeliba plants were used to decontaminate Cu and Cr from sample soils for 30 days *** bulk density of all the soil samples from Kouldawa was higher compared to Diguil,ranging from 1.421 to 1.64 g/cm^(3)compared to 1.21 to 1.51 g/cm^(3)for *** of the soils in Kouldawa are mineral soils,while those of Diguel are mostly mineral soil with some *** soils are richer in nitrate(577.9 to 2,687.32 mg/kg in Diguel and 33.64 to 197.64 mg/kg in Kouldawa)and phosphate than soils from *** from the studied areas are not saline except for a subsurface soil in Diguel(salinity,4.21;EC,4.280 dS/m;TDS,3,040 mg/L).The highest amount of Cr and Cu removed by acasia is 78%and 53.12%compared to 73.8%and 52.21%by *** soil can be very suitable for agriculture and Kouldawa soils for *** and kinkeliba can be effectively used to decontaminate the studied soils from heavy metal pollution.

本研究测定了7个玉米品种的种子发芽率、含水量、贮藏真菌、田间真菌、内部损伤、机械损伤和千粒重,对资料进行了通径分析。结果表明,贮藏真菌及种子含水量是影响种子发芽力衰退的最重要因素,二者对发芽力都有很大的、直接和间接的负作用。种子含水量通过贮藏真菌对发芽力的间接负作用大于其直接作用。田间真菌、机械损伤、内部损伤及千粒重对发芽力有着不同程度的影响,但不及上述二因素作用大。将种子含水量降至一定程度,以控制种带真菌的危害,对防止种子衰退,有重要意义。

Is cardiac mRI an effective test for arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy diagnosis?

AIm:To evaluate the referrals with suspected arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy(ARVC)and compare cardiac mR(cmR)findings against clinical ***:A retrospective analysis of 114(age range16 to 83,males 55%and females 45%)patients referred for cmR with a suspected diagnosis of ARVC between may 2006 and February 2010 was performed after obtaining institutional approval for service *** for referral including clinical symptoms and family history of sudden death,electrocardiogram and echo abnormalities,cmR findings,final clinical diagnosis and information about clinical management were *** results of cmR were classified as major,minor,non-specific or negative depending on both functional and tissue characterisation and the cmR results were compared against the final clinical ***:The most common reasons for referral included arrhythmias(30%)and a family history of sudden death(20%).Of the total cohort of 114 patients:4 patients(4%)had major cmR findings for ARVC,13patients(11%)had minor cmR findings,2 patients had non-specific cmR findings relating to the right ventricle and 95 patients had a negative *** the 4 patients who had major cmR findings,3(75%)had a positive clinical *** contrast,of the 13 patients who had minor cmR findings,only 2(15%)had a positive clinical *** of the 95 negative patients,clinical details were available for 81 patients and none of them had *** the 14 patients with no clinical data and final diagnosis,the sensitivity of the test was 100%,specificity 87%,positive predictive value29%and the negative predictive value 100%.CONCLUSION:CmR is a useful tool for ARVC evaluation because of the high negative predictive value as the outcome has a significant impact on the clinical decision-making.

motility-based label-free detection of parasites in bodily fluids using holographic speckle analysis and deep learning

Parasitic infections constitute a major global public health *** screening methods that are based on manual microscopic examination often struggle to provide sufficient volumetric throughput and sensitivity to facilitate early ***,we demonstrate a motility-based label-free computational imaging platform to rapidly detect motile parasites in optically dense bodily fluids by utilizing the locomotion of the parasites as a specific biomarker and endogenous contrast *** on this principle,a cost-effective and mobile instrument,which rapidly screens~3.2 mL of fluid sample in three dimensions,was built to automatically detect and count motile microorganisms using their holographic time-lapse speckle *** demonstrate the capabilities of our platform by detecting trypanosomes,which are motile protozoan parasites,with various species that cause deadly diseases affecting millions of people *** a holographic speckle analysis algorithm combined with deep learningbased classification,we demonstrate sensitive and label-free detection of trypanosomes within spiked whole blood and artificial cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)samples,achieving a limit of detection of ten trypanosomes per mL of whole blood(~five-fold better than the current state-of-the-art parasitological method)and three trypanosomes per mL of *** further demonstrate that this platform can be applied to detect other motile parasites by imaging Trichomonas vaginalis,the causative agent of trichomoniasis,which affects 275 million people *** its costeffective,portable design and rapid screening time,this unique platform has the potential to be applied for sensitive and timely diagnosis of neglected tropical diseases caused by motile parasites and other parasitic infections in resource-limited regions.
