Multi-point impact behavior and the relationship between cai strength and DBIP of PMI foam sandwich structures

Sandwich structures are vulnerable to multi-point impacts,and such impacts can result in a reduction in residual strength even catastrophic ***,the multi-point impact behaviors of PMI foam sandwich structure are investigated and studied using experimental and numerical coupled *** impact energy levels and five Distances Between Impact Positions(DBIP)are considered in details,and representative impact characteristics are compared to reveal the association between Compression After Impact(cai)strength and *** indicate that the interference between the multi-point impact events has a dominant effect on cai strength when DBIP is small,and the variation in bending stiffness induced by the boundary effect is the dominant factor affecting cai strength when DBIP ranges from 20 mm to 60 *** addition,matrix damage represents the primary damage mode in multi-point impact,and the calculated ratio of energy absorbed by the top face sheet and honeycomb core,in relation to the total absorbed energy,serves as a clear indicator of the damage severity experienced by both *** work is enlightening for the structural design of impact-resistant composites.

Solving the subset sum problem by the quantum Ising model with variational quantum optimization based on conditional values at risk

The subset sum problem is a combinatorial optimization problem,and its complexity belongs to the nondeterministic polynomial time complete(NP-Complete)*** problem is widely used in encryption,planning or scheduling,and integer *** accurate search algorithm with polynomial time complexity has not been found,which makes it challenging to be solved on classical *** effectively solve this problem,we translate it into the quantum Ising model and solve it with a variational quantum optimization method based on conditional values at *** proposed model needs only n qubits to encode 2ndimensional search space,which can effectively save the encoding quantum *** model inherits the advantages of variational quantum algorithms and can obtain good performance at shallow circuit depths while being robust to noise,and it is convenient to be deployed in the Noisy Intermediate Scale Quantum *** investigate the effects of the scalability,the variational ansatz type,the variational depth,and noise on the ***,we also discuss the performance of the model under different conditional values at *** computer simulation,the scale can reach more than nine *** selecting the noise type,we construct simulators with different QVs and study the performance of the model with *** addition,we deploy the model on a superconducting quantum computer of the Origin Quantum Technology Company and successfully solve the subset sum *** model provides a new perspective for solving the subset sum problem.

Polymerization-induced self-assembly(PISA)combines synthesis and self-assembly of artificial polymers in one-pot,which brings us one step closer to emulating ***,the reported PISA formulations primarily focus on developing nano-objects with new chemical compositions and rarely on structural regulation of polymers with specific ***,sequence structure controllable polymerization-induced self-assembly(SCPISA)is reported by using 7-(2-methacryloyloxyethoxy)-4-methylcoumarin(CMA)as a *** the copolymerization of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA)and CMA,controlled incorporation of CMA units into the polymer chains can be realized by programmable light/heat ***-based P(HEMA-co-CMA)copolymers with the same composition but different sequence structures generate a range of ***,the morphologies of the resultant nano-objects can also be controlled by regulating the feed molar ratio of CMA and HEMA,which is similar to the conventional PISA,but the synthesis procedure is obviously simplified in *** versatility of the methodology is further demonstrated by the fabrication of different functional nano-objects with sequence structure-dependent morphologies in SCPISA systems with different functional monomers.

Printing techniques hold great potential in the manufacture of electronics such as sensors,micro-supercapacitors,and flexible ***,developing large-scale functional conductive inks with appropriate rheological properties and active components still remains a ***,through optimizing the formulations of ink,iron single sites supported N-doped carbon black(Fe_(1)-NC)inks can serve as both conductive electrodes and high-reactive catalysts to realize convenient glucose detection,which pronouncedly reduces the dosage of enzyme and simplifies the sensors *** detail,utilizing in-situ pyrolysis method,Fe_(1)-NC single-atom catalysts(SACs)are prepared in bulk(dekagram-level).The batched Fe_(1)-NC SACs materials can be uniformly mixed with modulated ink to realize the screen printing with high resolution and ***,the whole scalable preparation and ink-functional process can be extended to various metals(including Co,Ni,Cu,and Mn).The introduction of highly active Fe_(1)-NC sites reduces the amount of enzyme used in glucose detection by at least 50%,contributing to the cost reduction of *** strategy in harnessing the SACs onto the carbon inks thus provides a broad prospect for the low-cost and large-scale printing of sensitive sensing devices.

The mechanical behaviors of deep rocks have always posed a challenge for the implementation and safe operation of major underground engineering *** this end,this study modified the existing mainstream rock mechanics instruments equipped with a dynamic disturbance loading system and developed a second‐generation TFD‐2000/D triaxial *** first‐generation device is equipped with an independent disturbance system and an advanced EDC‐580 all‐digital servo controller,which can apply disturbing load independently,implement the function of cyclic disturbance,and combine dynamic and static *** instrument was found to be reliable for use in analyzing the damage process of rocks in the disturbance test of *** second‐generation instrument tackles three limitations of the first‐generation instrument:(i)it upgrades the strain measurement system and uses extensometers with linear variable differential transformers to accurately measure deformation;(ii)it uses the self‐balanced chamber to replace the Hoek–Franklin triaxial cell and auto‐balancing triaxial pressure chamber;and(iii)the loading rod is independently equipped with an EDC‐580 all‐digital servo controller,which measures precise *** experimental findings confirmed that the second‐generation instrument can be used for rock mechanics testing under cyclic disturbance loading,the disturbance–stress relaxation cycle,and the creep–fatigue *** this sense,the second‐generation instrument can be a useful addition to deep rock mechanical instruments and provide a valuable reference.

Geothermal energy has gained wide attention as a renewable alternative for mitigating greenhouse gas *** advancements in enhanced geothermal system technology have enabled the exploitation of previously inaccessible geothermal ***,the extraction of geothermal energy from deep reservoirs poses many challenges due to high‐temperature and high‐geostress *** factors can significantly impact the surrounding rock and its fracture formation.A comprehensive understanding of the thermal–hydraulic–mechanical(THM)coupling effect is crucial to the safe and efficient exploitation of geothermal *** study presented a THM coupling numerical model for the geothermal reservoir of the yangbajing geothermal *** proposed model investigated the geothermal exploitation performance and the stress distribution within the reservoir under various combinations of geothermal wells and mass flow *** geothermal system performance was evaluated by the criteria of outlet temperature and geothermal *** results indicate that the longer distance between wells can increase the outlet temperature of production wells and improve extraction efficiency in the short *** contrast,the shorter distance between wells can reduce the heat exchange area and thus mitigate the impact on the reservoir stress.A larger mass flow rate is conducive to the production capacity enhancement of the geothermal system and,in turn causes a wider range of stress *** findings provide valuable insights into the optimization of geothermal energy extraction while considering reservoir safety and long‐term *** study deepens the understanding of the THM coupling effects in geothermal systems and provides an efficient and environmentally friendly strategy for a geothermal energy system.

Lanthanide(Ln^(3+))based ferroelectric phosphors,with an integration of PL emission and ferroelectric effect,are unveiling an exciting realm of possibilities for multifunctional ferroelectric-optic ***,how the ferroelectric host enables the tuning on the PL emissions through modulating the local structure(e.g.,lattice site,symmetry,strains etc.)of the Ln^(3+)activator is not established *** this work,a luminescent-ferroelectric material,***^(3+)doped BaTiO_(3) ceramic(Ba_(1–x)Dy_(x)TiO_(3)(x=0–0.07),abbr:BTO:Dy^(3+)),was explored to address the aforementioned *** BTO:Dy^(3+)ceramics were synthesized by a solid-state reaction *** crystal structure,photoluminescence(PL)and electric properties(dielectric constant,ferroelectric hysteresis and piezoelectric hysteresis loop)were systematically *** BTO:Dy^(3+)ceramics show two predominant emission peaks,corresponding to the blue magnetic dipole transition(477 nm,4F_(7/2)→6H_(15/2))and yellow electric dipole transition(573 nm,4F_(7/2)→6H_(13/2)),the intensity ration of which can be modulated by the ferroelectric polarization that causes the slight lattice *** a polarization-emission modulation combining with the Dy3+doping could accelerate the color change,from yellow to blue,which is characterized to detect the phase transition,with a method and mechanism were proposed,that is,the phase change is reflected by the PL characteristic peak intensity ***,the current results offer a convenient photoluminescence method for detecting the ferroelectric phase transition and a feasible approach to study the interaction between the photoluminescence and polarization in ferroelectric materials,for providing new insights for the development of multifunctional materials.

In this work,poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT)ultrathin films(P3HT-T)were prepared by spin-coating a dilute P3HT solution(in a toluene:o-dichlorobenzene(Tol:ODCB)blend with a volume ratio of 80:20)with ultrasonication and the addition of the nucleating agent bicycle[2.2.1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxylic acid disodium salt(HPN-68L)on glass,Si wafers and indium tin oxide(ITO)*** electrical and mechanical properties of the P3HT-T ultrathin films were investigated,and it was found that the conductivity and crack onset strain(COS)were simultaneously improved in comparison with those of the corresponding pristine P3HT film(P3HT-0,without ultrasonication and nucleating agent)on the same substrate,regardless of what substrate was ***,the conductivity of P3HT-T ultrathin films on different substrates was similar(varying from 3.7 S·cm^(-1)to 4.4 S·cm^(-1)),yet the COS increased from 97%to 138%by varying the substrate from a Si wafer to *** grazing-incidence wide-angle X-ray diffraction(GIXRD),UV-visible(UV-Vis)spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy(AFM),we found that the solid order and crystallinity of the P3HT-T ultrathin film on the Si wafer are highest,followed by those on glass,and much lower on ***,the surface energy and roughness of three substrates were investigated,and it was found that the polar component of the surface energyγp plays a critical role in determining the crystalline microstructures of P3HT ultrathin films on different *** work indicates that the P3HT ultrathin film can obviously improve the stretchability and simultaneously retain similar electrical performance when a suitable substrate is *** findings offer a new direction for research on stretchable CP ultrathin films to facilitate future practical applications.
