Theoretical understanding of correlation between magnetic phase transition and the superconducting dome in high-Tc cuprates

Many issues concerning the origin of high-temperature superconductivity(HTS)are still under *** example,how the magnetic order varies with doping and its relationship with the superconducting temperature(Tc);and why Tcalways peaks near the quantum critical *** this paper,taking hole-doped La_(2)CuO_(4)as a classical example,we employ the first-principles band structure and total energy calculations with Monte Carlo simulations to explore how the symmetry-breaking magnetic ground state evolves with hole doping and the origin of a dome-shaped superconductivity region in the phase *** demonstrate that the local antiferromagnetic order and doping play key roles in determining the electron-phonon coupling,thus ***,the La_(2)CuO_(4)possesses a checkerboard local antiferromagnetic ground *** the hole doping increases,Tcincreases with the enhanced electron-phonon coupling *** as the doping increases further,the strength of the antiferromagnetic interaction weakens and spin fluctuation *** the critical doping level,a magnetic phase transition occurs that reduces the local antiferromagnetism-assisted electron-phonon coupling,thus diminishing the *** superconductivity disappears in the heavily overdoped region when the ferromagnetic order *** observations could account for why cuprates have a dome-shaped superconductivity region in the phase *** study,thus,contributes to a fundamental understanding of the correlation between doping,local magnetic order,and superconductivity of HTS.

Effects of system parameters on bright dissipative holographic photovoltaic solitons

In a photovoltaic dissipative system, evolution and stability of a bright dissipative holographic photo- voltaic (DHP) soliton are completely determined by the given dissipative system, i.e., they are impacted by the system parameters, such as the system temperature, the photovoltaic field of the crystal, the angle between two input beams, and the angle of polarized direction. Such DHP solitons can be easily amplified or absorbed by adjusting these system parameters. They have potential applications in op- tical switches or repeaters.

Metalla-isosilabenzenes and metalla-isogermabenzenes have been successfully synthesized by the formal[5+1]-cycloaddition of diethynylsilane or diethynylgermane with simple metal *** is the first example of a heavier Group 14 metalla-isobenzene isomer bearing a cumulative double bond motif within a *** novel complexes were fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction *** stabilization of the cyclic metal-vinylidene complexes has been analyzed using density functional theory(DFT)*** the metalla-isosilabenzenes bearing Si—H bond were treated with the trityl salt as a hydride scavenger,the formation of silylium cation was observed *** of metalla-isosilabenzenes and metalla-isogermabenzenes can readily undergo migratory insertion reactions to furnish siloles or germoles.

Reviewing and understanding the stability mechanism of halide perovskite solar cells

Finding sustainable and renewable energy to replace traditional fossil fuel is critical for reducing greenhouse gas emission and avoiding environment *** cells that convert energy of sunlight into electricity offer a viable route for solving this *** present,halide perovskites are the most potential candidate materials for solar cell with considerable power conversion efficiency,whereas their stability remains a *** this work,we summarize four different key factors that influence the stability of halide perovskites:(a)effect of environmental moisture on the degradation of halide *** performance of halide perovskite solar cells is reduced due to hydrated crystal hinders the diffusion of photo-generated carriers,which can be solved by materials encapsulation technique;(b)photoinduced *** uncovering the underlying physical mechanism,we note that materials engineering or novel device structure can extend the working life of halide perovskites under continuous light exposure;(c)thermal *** perovskites are rapidly degraded into PbI2 and volatile substances as heating due to lower formation energy,whereas hybrid perovskite is little changed;(d)electric field effect in the degradation of halide *** electric field impacts significantly on the carrier separation,changes direction of photo-induced currents and generates switchable photovoltaic *** each key factor,we have shown in detail the underlying physical mechanisms and discussed the strategies to overcome this stability *** expect this review from both theoretical and experimental points of view can be beneficial for development of perovskite solar cell materials and promotes practical applications.

Water modeling on fluid flow and mixing phenomena in a BOF steelmaking converter

A 1∶8 physical water model was constructed to investigate the fluid flow and mixing phenomena in the basic oxygen furnace(BOF)*** particle image velocimetry was employed to measure the velocity distribution of the bath and the high-speed camera was applied to capture the cavity shape in the combined blowing BOF *** mixing time for varied operating conditions was measured by the stimulus-response *** cavity depth increased with the decrease in the lance height and the increase in the top gas flow rate while the bottom blowing gas had little influence on the cavity *** minimum cavity depth was obtained under the condition of a 69.8 m^(3)/h top gas flow rate,a 287.5 mm lance height and a 0.93 m^(3)/h bottom blowing gas flow rate,which was 161.2 *** mixing time decreased as the lance height decreased and the top blowing gas flow rate *** mixing time was first decreased and then increased with the increase in the bottom gas flow *** the condition of 69.8 m^(3)/h gas flow rate of top blowing,the 287.5 mm lance height and the 0.93 m^(3)/h gas flow rate of bottom blowing,the mixing time in the converter was 48.65 *** empirical formula between the stirring power and the mixing time in the converter was calculated.

Analysis of sensitivity to hydrate blockage risk in natural gas gathering pipeline

During the operational process of natural gas gathering and transmission pipelines, the formation of hydrates is highly probable, leading to uncontrolled movement and aggregation of hydrates. The continuous migration and accumulation of hydrates further contribute to the obstruction of natural gas pipelines, resulting in production reduction, shutdowns, and pressure build-ups. Consequently, a cascade of risks is prone to occur. To address this issue, this study focuses on the operational process of natural gas gathering and transmission pipelines, where a comprehensive framework is established. This framework includes theoretical models for pipeline temperature distribution, pipeline pressure distribution, multiphase flow within the pipeline, hydrate blockage, and numerical solution methods. By analyzing the influence of inlet temperature, inlet pressure, and terminal pressure on hydrate formation within the pipeline, the sensitivity patterns of hydrate blockage risks are derived. The research indicates that reducing inlet pressure and terminal pressure could lead to a decreased maximum hydrate formation rate, potentially mitigating pipeline blockage during natural gas transportation. Furthermore, an increase in inlet temperature and terminal pressure, and a decrease in inlet pressure, results in a displacement of the most probable location for hydrate blockage towards the terminal station. However,it is crucial to note that operating under low-pressure conditions significantly elevates energy consumption within the gathering system, contradicting the operational goal of energy efficiency and reduction of energy consumption. Consequently, for high-pressure gathering pipelines, measures such as raising the inlet temperature or employing inhibitors, electrical heat tracing, and thermal insulation should be adopted to prevent hydrate formation during natural gas transportation. Bimagnetic metal constructed core-shell structure of Fe@Co nanowires for multi-band microwave absorption

Controlled fabrication of materials by surface modification techniques has been a hot research topic. In this paper,one-dimensional(1D) core-shell structure Fe@Co nanowires(NWs) were successfully prepared by anchoring 0-dimensional(0D) Co nanoparticles on 1D Fe NWs based on the in situ reduction method. The electromagnetic parameters of the specimens at a filler mass fraction of 25 wt% were tested and the microwave loss mechanism was deeply analyzed. Binary magnetic metals in a core-shell structure have excellent multi-band microwave absorption capability(S-band, X-band and Ku-band). This is due to the heterogeneous interface and magnetic coupling effects tuning the dielectric and magnetic loss. This study offers a workable plan for creating effective multi-band magnetic metal-based microwave absorbers.

Experimental and theoretical analysis of loading characteristics of electret fi lter media for charged particles

The degradation of filtration performance in electret filter media during usage poses a significant challenge. Pre-charging of aerosols has been identified as an effective method to mitigate this issue. However, the effects of particle charging characteristics on the loading characteristics of electret filters still need a comprehensive understanding. In this study, a needle-cylinder corona charger was employed to pre-charge aerosols, and the particle charge state was determined by multiphysics simulation. The effects of particle charge polarity and charge quantity on the loading performance of the electret filter were quantitatively investigated. The results showed that the particle charge polarity had a negligible impact on the loading performance under the condition of the equivalent particle charge quantity. In addition, the charged particles effectively improved the efficiency degradation during the loading process of electret media, with higher charge quantities resulting in more pronounced improvements. The electrostatic attenuation factor showed a negative exponential correlation with the particle charge quantity. This was attributed to the uneven particle deposition on fiber surface due to the attraction of charged particles by the opposite charges on the electret fibers, which alleviated the effect of electrostatic shielding. Fine Mapping of qPAA8,a Gene Controlling Panicle Apical Development in Rice

In rice,one detrimental factor influencing single panicle yield is the frequent occurrence of panicle apical abortion（PAA） under unfavorable climatic *** now,no detailed genetic information has been available to avoid PAA in rice ***,we show that the occurrence of PAA is associated with the accumulation of excess hydrogen *** trait loci（QTLs） mapping for PAA in an F2 population derived from the cross of L-05261（PAA line） × IRAT129（non-PAA variety） identified seven QTLs over a logarithm of the odd（LOD） threshold of 2.5,explaining approximately 50.1% of phenotypic variance for PAA in *** of the QTLs with an increased effect from L-05261,were designated as qPAA3-1,qPAA3-2,qPAA4,qPAA5 and qPAA8,and accounted for 6.8%,5.9%,4.2%,13.0% and 12.2% of phenotypic variance,*** found that the PAA in the early heading plants was mainly controlled by ***,using the sub-populations specific for qPAA8 based on markerassisted selection,we further narrowed qPAA8 to a 37.6-kb interval delimited by markers RM22475 and *** results are beneficial for PAA gene clone.
