The convention on Biological Diversity seeks to conserve at least 30%of global land and water areas by 2030,which is a challenge but also an opportunity to better preserve biodiversity,including flowering plants(angiosperms).Herein,we compiled a large database on distributions of over 300,000 angiosperm species and the key functional traits of 67,024 *** this database,we constructed biodiversity-environment models to predict global patterns of taxonomic,phylogenetic,and functional diversity in terrestrial angiosperms and provide a comprehensive mapping of the three diversity *** further evaluated the current protection status of the biodiversity centers of these diversity *** results showed that geographical patterns of the three facets of plant diversity exhibited substantial spatial mismatches and nonoverlapping conservation *** centers of functional diversity,particularly of herbaceous species,were primarily distributed in temperate regions and under weaker protection compared with other biodiversity centers of taxonomic and phylogenetic *** global assessment of multifaceted biodiversity patterns and centers highlights the insufficiency and unbalanced conservation among the three diversity facets and the two growth forms(woody ***),thus providing directions for guiding the future conservation of global plant diversity.

Aluminum metal matrix composites （Al-MMcs） are difficult to machine. The reinforcement of aluminum using ceramic particles accelerates tool wear. Moreover, demanded machining accuracies or properties of the surface layer are difficult to achieve. In the present study, the effect of silicon carbide reinforcement particles on the surface layer of the workpiece was investigated using multiple cutting conditions for dry turning. Three differently reinforced Al-MMcs regarding the volume percent-age （17% and 30%） and the particle size （0.6 μm and 3 μm） and their non-reinforced matrix were considered as the workpiece materials. The reinforcement and the cutting condition affect the results of turning. A greater particle volume percent improves the surface roughness and decreases the tensile stress in the surface. The smaller particle size caused a lower tensile stress in the surface. A general effect of the particle size on the workpiece roughness can not be concluded. The most important cutting parameter for the surface layer of the workpiece is the feed. Greater feeds decrease the tensile stress in the surface, but deteriorate the surface quality.

To the Editor： With great interest we read the original article of chert et al published in the chinese Medical Journal comparing serum concentrations of cytokines in patients of Han and Li ethnicity with posttraumatic stress disorder （PTSD）. The authors found significantly higher serum concentrations of the cytokines interleukin （IL）-2, IL-6, IL-8, and tumor necrosis factor （TNF）-α in PTSD patients compared to normal controls, and differences in cytokine concentrations according to ethnicity.

Effcient Location Updates for continuous Queries over Moving Objects

The significant overhead related to frequent location updates from moving objects often results in poor performance. As most of the location updates do not affect the query results, the network bandwidth and the battery life of moving objects are wasted. Existing solutions propose lazy updates, but such techniques generally avoid only a small fraction of all unnecessary location updates because of their basic approach （e.g., safe regions, time or distance thresholds）. Furthermore, most prior work focuses on a simplified scenario where queries are either static or rarely change their positions. In this study, two novel efficient location update strategies are proposed in a trajectory movement model and an arbitrary movement model, respectively. The first strategy for a trajectory movement environment is the Adaptive Safe Region （ASR） technique that retrieves an adjustable safe region which is continuously reconciled with the surrounding dynamic queries. The communication overhead is reduced in a highly dynamic environment where both queries and data objects change their positions frequently. In addition, we design a framework that supports multiple query types （e.g., range and c-kNN queries）. In this framework, our query re-evaluation algorithms take advantage of ASRs and issue location probes only to the affected data objects, without flooding the system with many unnecessary location update requests. The second proposed strategy for an arbitrary movement environment is the Partition-based Lazy Update （PLU, for short） algorithm that elevates this idea further by adopting Location Information Tables （LITs） which （a） allow each moving object to estimate possible query movements and issue a location update only when it may affect any query results and （b） enable smart server probing that results in fewer messages. AIM: To determine the efficacy of probiotic supplementation on intestinal transit time(ITT) in adults and to identify factors that influence these outcomes. METHODS: We conducted a systematic review of randomized controlled trials of probiotic supplementation that measured ITT in adults. Study quality was assessed using the Jadad scale. A random effects meta-analysis was performed with standardized mean difference(SMD) of ITT between probiotic and control groups as the primary outcome. Meta-regression and subgroup analyses examined the impact of moderator variables on SMD of ***: A total of 15 clinical trials with 17 treatment effects representing 675 subjects were included in this analysis. Probiotic supplementation was moderately efficacious in decreasing ITT compared to control, with an SMD of 0.38(95%cI: 0.23-0.53, P cally greater reductions in ITT with probiotics in subjects with vs without constipation(SMD: 0.57 vs 0.22, P constipation(R^2 = 38%, P centage of female subjects(R^2 = 26%, P = 0.02), and fewer probiotic strains(R^2 = 20%, P ctive of decreased ITT with probiotics in meta-regression. Medium to large treatment effects were identified with B. lactis HN019(SMD: 0.67, P ctis DN-173 010(SMD: 0.54, P c strains yielded negligible reductions in ITT relative to ***: Probiotic supplementation is moderately efficacious for reducing ITT in adults. Probiotics were most efficacious in constipated subjects, when evaluated in high-quality studies, and with certain probiotic strains.

AIM： To study the association of three common ABcB11 and ABcc2 polymorphisms （ABcB11： 1331T〉c→V444A; ABcc2： 3563T〉A → V1188E and 4544G 〉A → c1515Y） with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy （IcP） and contraceptive-induced cholestasis （cIc）. METHODS： ABcB11 and ABcc2 genotyping data were available from four cIc patients and from 42 and 33 IcP patients, respectively. Allele-frequencies of the studied polymorphisms were compared with those in healthy pregnant controls and caucasian individuals. Furthermore, serum bile acid levels were correlated with the presence or absence of the 1331 c allele. RESULTS： The ABcB11 1331T〉c polymorphism was significantly more frequent in cholestatic patients than in pregnant controls： c allele 76.2% （cI, 58.0-94.4） vs 51.3% （cI 35.8-66.7）, respectively （P = 0.0007）; and cc allele 57.1% （cI 36.0-78.3） vs 20% （cI 7.6-32.4）, respectively （P = 0.0065）. All four cIc patients were homozygous carriers of the c allele. In contrast, none of the studied ABcc2 polymorphism was overrepresented in IcP or cIc patients. Higher serum bile acid levels were found in carriers of the 1331cc genotype compared to carriers of the TT genotype. cONcLUSION： Our data support a role for the ABcB11 1331T〉c polymorphism as a susceptibility factor for the development of estrogen-induced cholestasis, whereas no such association was found for ABcc2. Serum bile acid and 7-glutamyl transferase levels might help to distinguish ABcB4- and ABcB11-related forms of IcP and cIc.
