Rare-earth elements(REEs)are critical to modern industry but difficult to separate due to their subtle and monotonic changes in physico-chemical ***2-based two-dimensional(2D)materials offer novel opportunities for enhancing REE separation,exhibiting a distinct volcano-shaped transport performance distribution that peaks at Sm3+.However,the specific contributions of thermodynamic and kinetic factors to ion transport within 2D confinement remain *** this study,we conducted a series of non-equilibrium all-atom molecular dynamics(MD)simulations to explore the effects of interlayer spacing and external pressure on the transport of lanthanide ions inÅ-scale acetate functionalized 2D MoS2(MoS2-cOOH)*** examined ion entry and permeation rates,water flux,dehydration,and binding *** simulation results reveal that the transport trends of lanthanide ions are jointly driven by the dehydration degree and the relative-binding strengths of ions to water and to the acetate within the 2D ***,the dehydration pattern of lanthanide ions during permeation is closely linked to kinetic ***,this study provides a detailed atomistic.understanding of the mechanisms under-lying lanthanide ion transport under *** findings point to the significant potential for tuning confinement and chemical functionalization withinÅ-scale channels for more efficient REE separation.

Organic thermoelectric(OTE)materials and devices have garnered significant attention in the past decade for flexible and wearable *** to the numerous combinations of different backbones,side chains,and functional groups for polymer molecules,further efficient developments of high perfor-mance OTEs rely on reverse and rational molecular design as well as fundamental understanding to the structure-property relationship,which both require precise theoretical ***,many theo-retical efforts and progresses have been made to predict TE properties and develop high performance OTE ***,we present first the general methods and principles for OTE theoretical ***,the latest theoretical advances regarding the effects of molecular design,chemical dop-ing,ambipolar charge transport etc.,to TE conversion are carefully *** theoretical advances not only significantly deepen the fundamental understanding of OTEs,but also provide precise guidance to the molecular design of OTE ***,we propose several perspectives for future theoretical investigations of OTEs.

This research is concentrated on the longitudinal vibration of a tapered pipe pile considering the vertical support of the surrounding soil and construction ***,the pile-soil system is partitioned into finite segments in the vertical direction and the Voigt model is applied to simulate the vertical support of the surrounding soil acting on the pile *** surrounding soil is divided into finite ring-shaped zones in the radial direction to consider the construction ***,the shear complex stiffness at the pile-soil interface is derived by solving the dynamic equilibrium equation for the soil from the outermost to innermost *** displacement impedance at the top of an arbitrary pile segment is obtained by solving the dynamic equilibrium equation for the pile and is combined with the vertical support of the surrounding soil to derive the displacement impedance at the bottom of the upper adjacent ***,the displacement impedance at the pile head is obtained based on the impedance function transfer ***,the reliability of the proposed solution is verified,followed by a sensitivity analysis concerning the coupling effect of the pile parameters,construction disturbance and the vertical support of the surrounding soil on the displacement impedance of the pile.

Black carbon(Bc)is associated with adverse human health and climate *** Bc spatial distribution imperatively requires low-cost and portable *** portable Bc monitors are commercially available,but their accuracy and reliability are not always satisfactory during continuous field *** study evaluated three models of portable black carbon monitors,c12,MA350 and DST,and investigates the factors that affect their *** monitors were tested in urban Beijing,where portable devices running for one month alongside a regular-size reference aethalometer *** study considers several factors that could influence the monitors'performance,including ambient weather,aerosol composition,loading artifacts,and built-in *** results show that MA350and DST present considerable discrepancies to the reference instrument,mainly occurring at lower concentrations(0-500 ng/m^(3))and higher concentrations(2500-8000 ng/m^(3)),*** discrepancies were likely caused by the anomalous noise of MA350 and the loading artifacts of *** study also suggests that the ambient environment has limited influence on the monitors'performance,but loading artifacts and accompanying compensation algorithms can result in unrealistic *** on the evaluation,the study suggests that c12 is the best choice for unsupervised field measurement,DST should be used in scenarios where frequent maintenance is available,and MA350 is suitable for research purposes with post-processing *** study highlights the importance of assigning portable Bc monitors to appropriate applications and the need for optimized real-time compensation algorithms.

In low-density steel,κ-carbides primarily precipitate in the form of nanoscale particles within austenite ***,their precipitation within ferrite matrix grains has not been comprehensively explored,and the second-phase evolution mechanism during aging remains *** this study,the crystallographic characteristics and morphological evolution ofκ-carbides in Fe-28Mn-10Al-0.8c(wt%)low-density steel at different aging temperatures and times and the impacts of these changes on the steels’microhardness and properties were comprehensively *** different heat treatment conditions,intragranularκ-carbides exhibited various morpho-logical and crystallographic characteristics,such as acicular,spherical,and short rod-like *** the initial stage of aging,acicularκ-carbides primarily precipitated,accompanied by a few spherical carbides.κ-carbides grew and coarsened with aging time,the spherical carbides were considerably reduced,and rod-like carbides *** hardness testing demonstrated that the material’s hardness was affected by the volume fraction,morphology,and size ofκ-*** aging at higher temperatures led to an increase in carbide size and volume fraction,resulting in a gradual rise in *** deformation,the primary mechanisms for strengthening were dislocation strengthening and second-phase *** on these findings,potential strategies for improving material strength are proposed.

Recently discovered Ising superconductors have garnered considerable interest due to their anomalously large in-plane upper critical fields(B_(c2)). However, the requisite strong spin-orbital coupling in the Ising pairing mechanism generally renders these superconductors heavy-element dominant with notably low superconducting transition temperatures(Tc). Here, based on the Migdal-Eliashberg theory and the mean-field Bogoliubov-de Gennes Hamiltonian, we demonstrate a significant enhancement of Ising superconductivity in monolayer NbSe_(2) through surface fluorination, as evidenced by concomitant improvements in Tcand Bc_(2). This enhancement arises from three predominant factors. Firstly, fluorine atoms symmetrically and stably adhere to both sides of the monolayer NbSe_(2), thereby maintaining the out-of-plane mirror symmetry and locking carrier spins ***, fluorination suppresses the charge density wave in monolayer NbSe_(2) and induces a van Hove singularity in the vicinity of the Fermi level, leading to a marked increase in the number of carriers and, consequently, strengthening the electron-phonon coupling(EPc). Lastly, the appearance of fluorine-related, low-frequency phonon modes further augments the EPc. Our findings suggest a promising avenue to elevate Tcin two-dimensional Ising superconductors without compromising their Ising pairing.

Aiming at the tracking problem of a class of discrete nonaffine nonlinear multi-input multi-output(MIMO) repetitive systems subjected to separable and nonseparable disturbances, a novel data-driven iterative learning control(ILc) scheme based on the zeroing neural networks(ZNNs) is proposed. First, the equivalent dynamic linearization data model is obtained by means of dynamic linearization technology, which exists theoretically in the iteration domain. Then, the iterative extended state observer(IESO) is developed to estimate the disturbance and the coupling between systems, and the decoupled dynamic linearization model is obtained for the purpose of controller synthesis. To solve the zero-seeking tracking problem with inherent tolerance of noise,an ILc based on noise-tolerant modified ZNN is proposed. The strict assumptions imposed on the initialization conditions of each iteration in the existing ILc methods can be absolutely removed with our method. In addition, theoretical analysis indicates that the modified ZNN can converge to the exact solution of the zero-seeking tracking problem. Finally, a generalized example and an application-oriented example are presented to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed process.

Residual feed intake(RFI)is a metric that provides a more accurate measure of feed *** lower the RFI,the higher the feed *** changes in the host microbiome and metabolome contribute to the greater feed efficiency of low RFI(LRFI)*** aim of this study was to explore the differences in rumen microorganisms,rumen metabolites and plasma metabolites of Hu sheep with differing RFI through the microbiome and metabolome.A total of 80 Hu sheep were *** experiment consisted of a 15-d pretrial period and a 128-d experimental *** RFI in the experimental period was calculated for all sheep,and the sheep were screened into high RFI(HRFI,n=8)and LRFI(n=8)*** HRFI and LRFI sheep did not differ in their initial and final body weights,average daily gain and body measurements,but the dry matter intake of LRFI sheep was significantly decreased(28.4%,Pcrude protein(P=0.010)and ether extract(P=0.010)compared to HRFI *** concentrations of acetate(P=0.036),propionate(P=0.010),valerate(P=0.027)and total volatile fatty acids(P=0.048)in rumen of LRFI group were higher compared to HRFI *** results of 16S rDNA sequencing indicated that the sheep with LRFI had higher proportions of Prevotella genus in rumen liquid(P=0.031).The rumen metabolome and plasma metabolome results showed that the citrate cycle,pyruvate metabolism and alanine,aspartate and glutamate metabolism processes were more active for sheep in LRFI group,which provided more energy substrate such as malic acid,oxoglutaric acid and citric *** conclusion,sheep with LRFI can utilize feed more efficiently,and the more active energy metabolism pathway and the production of energy substances may acc.unt for the higher feed efficiency.
